Even if Manoth hadn't shown signs of fear, it wasn't as though Mezlijin couldn't pick up on it. Perhaps he'd chosen a very bad mix of words for that last statement? Yes he definitely had, especially since poor Manoth had absolutely nothing to fret over! Wild dogs were one hundred percent safe from the disease that haunted their lands! But he hadn't told the poor male that. He probably should, before he leaves. If for nothing else but to settle his nerves.

"Fear not friend, the terror you fear is very undeserved. Especially in your case. You see, within our pride we hold a disease and I serve as a protector of sorts as I mentioned before. And I suppose what I forgot to mention is that you - as a wild dog you are safe from the disease. The disease specifically targets those that hold lion genes. Even if you were to accidentally step over you would be safe. But as a general warning, I still have to warn you. But I do request that if you have other lion friends, you pass along the words. If they do come this close - we will take care of the rest!"

Smiling his cheesy grin, he butted his head playfully against the wild dog's shoulder. "Don't fret Manoth, I promise you will be safe here. Though lions will not be." Clearing his throat of his own awkward mistake he tried to altar the conversation to help himself feel less like an idiot. "I apologize for not mentioning that sooner, we don't get many non lions around here! Now! How about those walk around we talked about?"
