He caught her off guard. Internally, she jumped. Externally, she curled into herself a bit.
She glanced at the work Ootori-san had identified as hers. She was a bit shocked and flattered that he recognized it. She nodded, bushing slightly as she responded, "Yes, I did that one awhile ago..."
Though a second of contemplation made her realize he probably saw her signature on the bottom right corner. Her soft blush turned from one of flattery to embarrassment.
Actually, he hadn't. It simply reminded him of some of the pieces he'd seen when she'd been a more frequent guest, though more experience had rendered this piece more polished than those. But as he stepped nearer to it, a closer look did reveal her signature. "Very expressive," he said, with a small adjustment of his glasses and a quiet nod.
