Gliscor huh? He's pretty cool.
What nature do you recommend for him?

I would say either impish or careful, so he can take a few more hits

I found an Impish one, but he doesn't have the ability I want, so I'll keep looking. Poison Heal would be best I suppose.

Poison Heal is his hidden ability, just so you know. If you can find a friend safari with gligar, then you're good. i wish you luck.

Unfortunately I haven't one with the Gligar, I just checked them all. I'll just find a Stunky with Poison Gas and take him over to see who has immunity.

Thank you though~

Well I'm just gonna breed one with the nature and ability I want
I've got plenty of gligars here now XD They all know Quick Attack, Fury Cutter, Feint Attack and Acrobatics when they hatch.

Some have the ability and some don't. I'm just breeding for the nature since I don't even know what happened to my everstone. After that I gotta go get a toxic orb and razor fang at the Maison. Such fun.

And no.

I'm all too familiar with Gliscor.

Either run a Stall set like this:

Toxic Orb
Impish
252 HP is a must. Def/Speed EV's are up to you. More bulk or more speed?

Earthquake
Toxic
Protect
Substitute.

By far the most common set, but quite effective. Sub + Protect can stall any Poisoned foe to death. Only weaknesses are 4x Ice and 2x Water.

Utility/Tank

Toxic Orb
Impish
Same idea for EV's. Consider Attack, then decide against it because you don't need it.

Earthquake
Taunt/Defog/U-Turn/Roost

Don't bother with Sub + Protect on this set (otherwise just run the other set).
Anyway, EQ is the clear staple. Taunt/Defog/U-Turn/Roost are all great moves and it's up to you what your team needs most. Defog gets rid of entry hazards (Can't be spin-blocked!), U-Turn adds momentum, Roost heals off, Taunt shuts down walls like Blissey/Skarmory/Ferrothorn then you can U-Turn away on the switch to the appropriate counter.

You could fit in Protect if you wanted for an alternative scouting option, but will generally waste a moveslot in many cases. Substitute is counter-productive on this set when your goal is to come in, get rid of hazards, block walls, then build momentum, and EQ when appropriate.

@Gallade, I've heard this far too many times before, ahaha. I myself attempted to use him before. I'd suggest a gimmick set, SD is too obvious as it's his only set. You need a trump card, be it Destiny Bond or T-Wave of Specially defensive? I've tried this guy out, nothing seems very effective. But if you insist, find something original, the SD set is walled easily. Toxic Gliscor as mentioned above can switch in, Toxic, then stall him out. Proper speed investment outspeeds postive max speed Gallade as well. At least Bronzong and Metagross don't wall you anymore since Night Slash can slam either.

Well, given proper team play you could get a couple sweeps. Don't expect Gallade to be your MVP. But here goes nothing...

Jolly
Life Orb
Max Attack/ Max Speed

Close Combat
Night Slash
Swords Dance
Destiny Bond/T-wave/Wil-o-wisp

Like I said, you need your surprise factor! Destiny Bond scores a free kill on something slower not expecting it. Like a slower physical wall for instance, Hippowdon, Metagross, etc. CC is obvious, defense drops has good synergy for Destiny Bond. Fighting/Dark has amazing coverage, I'd pass up on Psychic STAB. Dragalge won't switch in on you, Gengar is faster, and Night Slash hits him. Most of what beats you beats you because they're faster and can revenge kill you or tank a hit, then retaliate for a OHKO. T-Wave is worth a mention. Say you bring Gallade in safely (not easy to do, mind you). They switch to their physical wall or something that can revenge kill you on the expected SD, then you slam em with a T-Wave? Crippling. Wil-o-wisp as well.

Double Post.. But I saw you were looking for a Friend Safari with Gligar. While that is useful for IV's, I'd suggest going to Route 19 and entering Horde Battles to find Immunity Gligar. You only need one to pass down the ability.

My Party for this:

Dragalge with Toxic as well as Poison Point.
I select 1 to Toxic, if it fails it has the Hidden Ability.
Any that get Poisoned from Poison Point are obviously not what you need. It's only a 30% chance, so just because it didn't activate doesn't mean they don't have Immunity. But it will save you a lot of time by narrowing your targets down each turn.

Combee For Sweet Scent for Horde Encoutners.

Farfetch'd, a False Swiper to get HP low for capture.

Leppa Berries are useful, you will need 1 every 2-3 battles. Fortunately the berry fields exist this gen. By far the most efficient way to gather berries yet.

I like the first set, but I was also gonna go with something along the lines of

Earthquake
Protect
Toxic
Facade (To pair with Toxic)

As for Gallade, he currently has:

Leaf Blade
Swords Dance
Close Combat (STAB)
Psycho Cut (STAB)

So I'll replace Leaf Blade with T-wave

Fighting/Psychic coverage isn't good coverage. Sableye is immune to both, lol. Any Psychic type resists both attacks. The omnipresent Aegislash will switch in on you guaranteed. Don't do that to yourself (T-wave doesn't hurt Aegislash much, Wil-o-wisp does though!). T-Wave is a fine choice, I still prefer Destiny Bond. Jolly Max Attack/Max Speed right?

EDIT: I remembered with the addition of Fairy typing, Dark/Fighting no longer give as excellent of coverage since Fairies resist both. However, Gallade would lose 1 on 1 to Azumarill or Togekiss anyway. The other Fairies are less threatening, so it's a small problem. But again, you can run Psycho Cut over Night Slash if you prefer it.

@Gliscor, you might want to re-consider Facade. STAB EQ is stronger than Poison boosted Facade. What are you hitting with Facade that EQ/Toxic can't? Skarmory, Bronzong, Crobat, and Gengar are the true counters here. Facade won't do anything to Skarmory/Bronzong/Gengar. Yeah, you can hit Crobat, but he is just gonna Taunt you anyway and Roost/Switch out. What other Flying/Bug/Grass types do you really need to hit with Facade? I've been using Gliscor on many teams since Gen 4. He is one of my favorite Pokemon. You can trust me when I say not to run Facade.

Gotta take it from an expert.
I'll run Gliscor with the original set then.

So I still have two slots open for Pokes
do you recommend any more to go along with the rest of my team?
One needs to be able to fly. I was thinking of Honchkrow or Braviary

Whoa whoa whoa! Don't use your HM-mons in competitive battling. Unless it's Waterfall on Gyarados or Surf on Starmie, etc. Just get your HM slaves out when needed. [/lecture]

@your natures, Naughty on Gallade is less than optimal. Mild Hydreigon, Hardy Scizor???
Gallade @ Jolly
Scizor @ Adamant
Hydreigon @Modest/Timid
I run Modest on a Scarf'd Hydreigon, but if you're not running Scarf, Timid 100%. Choice sets are always up in the air, although Specs would be more likely to run Timid. If you settle for less you're lowering your chances to win big time. I tell everyone this, you are not the first. Take the extra time to get the correct natures, betters IV's, egg moves you want, etc.

I must admit, if I have any weaknesses it's find that last 5th or 6th slot. Here is my method though:

Add up weaknesses:
1 Bug, 1 Dragon, 2 Ice (1 4x weakness), 2 Fairy, 1 Fighting, 1 Fire, 1 Flying, 1 Ghost, 1 Water.

Not bad, and you have multiple resists for all of these except 2: Ice and Ghost.

Your team is more physically oriented, why not Blissey? You've already got 1 Fighting weakness, but also 2 resists and 1 neutral. Blissey is immune to Ghost types and takes Focus Blasts for days. (Common on Gengar). Hydreigon can take down Aegislash relatively well, so he's not problematic either.

Blissey sets vary. I have not played one in a very long time, but this much I do know.

Calm (+Sp. Def, - Atk)
Leftovers
252 HP/ 252 Sp. Def
Natural Cure

Status nails Blissey, Natural Cure eliminates this problem. Don't bother with physical investment. No real point, physical attacks ruin you anyway. As for moves, obvious you want recover, a status, an attacking move, and flex slot. Something like this maybe?

Ice Beam/Seismic Toss
Toxic
Wish
Protect/Heal Bell/T Wave/Sing/Dazzling Gleam/T Bolt/Flamethrower

Lot of options. 2 moves seems overkill, but you might find it useful. I like Wish over Softboiled because it gives you options and better team support. Wish + Protect makes recovery more reliable and can scout, plus you can score some over predictions on your opponent. Sleep is awesome. Even if you miss it's great utility.

Ice Beam and Toxic are my preferences. You can choose a different attacking move as your main move. Seismic Toss or one of the moves mentioned in flex slot. Toxic wears opposing Pokemon down. Period. Especially with Wish + Protect stalling. Also aids Gliscor by letting him come in to stall. Say Terrakion switches in and eats Toxic. Switch to Gliscor and stall him out because he can OHKO Blissey. T-Wave is useful, but you already have 1 Pokemon with it and 2 T-wave users would definitely hurt Gliscor's chances of stalling your opponent.

Now you need an Ice Resist. You also could use a Stealth Rock user... Heatran. 4x resist to Ice. 2 immunities to Ground gives you switch-in options for those incoming EQ's. Fire immunity is great synergy for Scizor.

I only ever tried the troll Torment set (shut teams DOWN L0L). But you need a SR user. Here's what I have in mind...

Bold
Lefties/Air Ballon
Flash Fire (DW ability unreleased anyway)
252 HP/ 252 Sp, Atk OR 252 HP/ 126 Def/ 126 Sp. Def

Stealth Rock
Flamethrower/Fire Blast
Earth Power/Flash Cannon/Wil-o-wisp
Roar/Wil-o-wisp/Magma Storm

The idea here is to set up your Stealth Rocks, then be a bigger jerk in whatever way you can. Don't lead with him every time, he is a team player and will find an easy time switching in. Everything is pretty self-explanatory. Flamethrower/Fire Blast for main STAB. Earth Power or Flash Cannon are acceptable secondary coverage moves. Wil-o-wisp is very crippling. Roar is obnoxious and racks up damage from SR. Mamga Storm is weird, but can trap your opponent and does intense damage, although inaccurate.

This would be a very well-balanced team. No need for a Spinner/Defogger because you have 0 SR weaknesses. 2 immunities to Spikes/Sticky Web, 4 immunities to Toxic Spikes. All weaknesses are covered excellently, got a SR user, Physical Wall, Special Wall. The whole nine yards.

Sounds like a plan to me. Head over to McDonalds for the initial download if you want. Free Wifi. I don't think you need wifi to use Pokebank, but I could be wrong.

It might be tough finding that Heatran, but definitely worthwhile. Bold or Modest works. Modest is +Sp. Atk, - Attack, Bold is +Def, -Atk. I like Bold personally.

I just found a Safari with Chansey, so I'm gonna dig in there
And I might decide against Hetran, I would take Sabeleye over him. BIAS BIAS BIAS BIAS
