This time Jove turned his disapproving frown upon the undead ghoul, all the while keeping a tight hold on his friend. He would counter her 'are you kidding me' look with 'now you play nice!' all day if he had to. It wasn't the wolpertinger's fault, and in hindsight perhaps Jove shouldn't have tested out his little hypothesis so suddenly, and without permission... So really Mathias was the victim here.
At least now Jove knew for sure. It definitely wasn't ghoulish appearances that set his friend off, Sammy was the least ghoulish ghoul he knew. It had to be something else. Whether Mathias instinctively knew, or whether he had seen something Jove just didn't pay attention to, clearly a ghoul not acting like a ghoul was not enough to overcome his friend's unfortunate weakness.
The pup yelped as Matty bumped him, just that little force was enough to make Jove lose his balance and fall backwards onto his fluffy tail. Pulling Mathias with him, of course. He wasn't going to make the same mistake and let go again!
He made a little murmuring noise in the back of his throat, the sort that was meant to be reassuring. And a little apologetic.

Everything the ghoul said, no matter how harsh or mean, no matter how condescending, all sounded sweet as the spookies that Jove had shared with him at the cafeteria. Her voice rang like a thousand tinkling bells, a beautiful sound to go with her beautiful, scowling face. He didn't want her to scowl, though. That was no good. He wanted to make her smile! That was what he lived for, after all, was to be hers, and to make her happy. At least, until Jove interfered. There was, as before, some amount of struggling to get away from the grip that was held around his eyes, even after they both fell on the floor. Mathias thrashed, let his fists collide with whatever parts of Jove that he could reach at, considering he was behind him, and then he began to try and turn his body around, to face whoever was holding him. But then, as before, he began to relax. The warm fuzziness that had invaded his mind when he came in eye contact with the ghoul and her more prominent curvy features began to reside, leaving in it's place a wolpertinger that was filled with abject horror at what had just occurred. His face began heat up, turning a brilliant shade of red. "Jove." He growled, his body no longer thrashing but not relaxed either, his muscles tense with anger. It was the ghost boil, after all, who had shoved him towards the ghoul in the first place, knowing full well that Mathias had a problem, an embarrassing secret problem that now was no longer much of a secret at all, at least not to the ghoul who was laughing at him. The murmuring sounds, while apologetic, were not quite enough to soothe, and Mathias then muttered "You can let go." in a tone of voice that indicated he was not at all ready to forgive him for this so quickly.

Sammy was indeed the least ghoulie ghoul she had met at this school. She wore her hair like a boil almost, stomped around when she walked only wearing thick heavy boots. She cursed, she complained, and she picked fights like no tomorrow. Yet something about her cause the boil to completely lose his mind.
The two where now tangled on the floor and Manthis seemed to have lost that flowery praising tone to his voice. Back more to the grumbling boil she had met moments before he got a good look at her.
"Jove you mind elaborating what's up with your friend here before he goes mental again?"

Although he had only dealt with this situation once before, Jove could immediately tell something was off. And when he heard that tone of voice, and recognized the signs of anger in his friend, he quickly backed off. He knew in an instant that he had over-stepped his bounds, and subjected his friend to the very thing he was trying to help him avoid. The pup's ears fell back, and with his chin down he looked very much like a chided foxfire. He had been a Bad Dog, even though his intentions had been good. While Jove knew that Sammy, for all her brash attitudes and tough airs, was a trustworthy and sincere friend, Mathias had only just met her. And had not even met her in the most pleasant manner, so of course this would come as a betrayal to the wolpertinger... He did little to either mollify his friend, or explain to Sammy exactly what was going on, he just sat back, tail tucked between his legs, and let out a tiny whine. How was he supposed to fix things now?

As soon as he was let go he was shoving himself away, cheeks still burning red, eyes closed until he was back on his feet, then they were opened but downcast. His hands were clenched into fists at his sides, claws digging into the palms of his hands. "It is not your business to be knowing anything about me, ghoul." He spat out, angry at himself, angry at Jove, angry at the ghoul for existing, pretty much angry at everything. Why was he even going to this school, when he couldn't even seem to get through a single day without some embarrassing incident occurring like this? "Am not mental. Am just me, ein volpertinger." He had no worries that Jove was going to elaborate, as the ghoul wished, as the other boil barely spoke, and he doubted it was a message that could be conveyed through gestures and subtle eye movements. "This is all anybody needs to know." He turned then, glowering at his so called friend. But then he saw how upset he looked, with his tail tucked in, his chin tilted down, his ears back. It was like he had been cowed, and Mathias didn't like it. "Stop. Stop looking...." He struggled then, upset and at a loss for finding the proper word to use. "Pathetic." Okay that one was a bit more harsh then intended, but it was the correct meaning that he wished to convey. And then an idea sprang to mind, a desperate idea, but it would explain Jove's behavior, and at least took the edge off of the wolpertinger's anger. "Vere just trying to help, nah? Is still not good. Could..could be varning me next time!" He threw his hands up in the air. He was so done with this all of this. All he'd wanted was a spar.

Sammy watched them both, scrambling and flailing about her arms crossed and head cocked curiously at the whole scene. Jove was perhaps the best part, he looked adorable the way he was shuffling and squirming about like a bad dog. "Oh hush Jove, stop, you're a good boil Jove, good boil."
Turning her attention back to Manthis she shook her head, "We'll you're the one who can't decide between hating me or wanting to hit on my like a creep. And what's a 'Volp-derp-thinger?' Monster right?"
She turned to Jove again, "Warning? You set this up Jove?"

Jove seemed to flinch back at his friend's words, looking even more pathetic despite just being told to stop. He glanced up with big puppy eyes, and nodded his head just a little. Yes, he was just trying to help, all he wanted to do was figure out what they could do to make things better. And the idea was sound, at least now he knew it wasn't the way the ghoul dressed. But the additional knowledge was not a comfort, he still felt like a Bad Dog even though Sammy had specifically told him otherwise. His ears turned slightly, expressing hesitance and doubt. He didn't exactly set it up, per se, it was more of a sudden action, but he had known about the possible behaviour thing... The pup sheepishly stared at the floor.
