Khayman, up until now, had been a fairly normal alleycat. Yes, he'd seemed a bit more intelligent than the rest of his kin, but he certainly couldn't talk, or plan complex theories, or READ. Yet all of these things and more that had once seemed like two-legger commodities he had no use for, were both available and strangely new to him.
It was one thing to wander around and hear the humans speech, even understand the important parts of it, like 'food', 'cat', 'shoo' and the like. It was entirely different thing to be able to read menus, store signs, understand complicated speech patterns and meanings of words, all the while feigning indifference and lack of intelligence. The 'baby voice' humans so loved to speak to animals in sounded ever so much more patronizing now, and he found he was more content to stay alone in the back alleys than he used to be.
In all honesty, it was emotionally and mentally overwhelming to be bombarded with so much intelligence and information all at once. He'd nearly had a nervous breakdown upon being 'woken up' as he'd figured out it was, after having stumbled upon a battle between good and evil one day. While part of him had wished to go to the warring senshi and nega agent, the other part was too overwhelmed, too unprepared, and he'd run off. He'd only JUST now found the Negaverse base, padding into the apartment complex that seemed to house nothing BUT powered agents at all times, and even now he kept to the shadows and tried not to engage anyone. They'd all overlooked his small form, either missing him entirely or having heard of Guardians before thought nothing of it.
He was getting better at having mini panic attacks over his situation, though he still wasn't sure what he was exactly supposed to DO. He supposed he even could've been an Order guardian, had he come across them first. But alas, he hadn't, and so he was here, meting out a place for himself. Slipping in between legs, he sought out the warmest room in the building, the boiler room. It would make a good temporary home, much better than the cold and unforgiving alleyways he'd called home till now.
He sighed softly, circling a spot after slipping through the crack in the door, and nestling down to let his fur dry from the snow outside.
What did it all mean? To even BE a guardian. What was he supposed to do? He was armed with all this new knowledge and sense of purpose for.....what. It seemed the only thing the Negaverse was lacking for him was an overall goal, as his instincts had told him Order cats awakened senshi, but dark cats, what did they do? He sighed softly, supposing he'd have to find out for himself. Perhaps he'd go looking for information, or at least a friendly face, tomorrow. And barring that, maybe go hunting later on to get some of this nervous energy he'd been newly saddled with.
Speaking was a great burden he had no idea how humans bore so easily. Each word could harm or hurt your cause or the people around you, and he was having a difficult time speaking at all because of it. When words carried such weight, who was he to decide which to use? He huffed, curling tighter, a small purr escaping him as his fur warmed. These were questions for later, for now, he let the warmth and steady hiss and gurgle of the boiler lull him to sleep.

wherein Khay decides to become information station for the Negas, deciding his purpose and working with Zirc on the side, and is also confused that the bad guys aren't so bad.
