Grimalkin indeed! While it seemed so nice to be able to have a nap in a warm area, she couldn't bear to think of how much work she would have to catch up on if she did! It must be nice, to not have to work, but then again, she'd be rather bored.
There was an excited look that passed her face immediately when Raj pulled out one of her knives. She was keeping them on her! She'd never felt so honored in her life! Sure, she'd occasionally see a piece or two of hers on someone in public, but never, never had she seen someone keeping it on them at all times. This was only going to turn out well, she knew it now.
And then Raj has to go on and say books. There's only good reactions that come of that, especially with words of old legends. Oh she has quite a few good ones on the subject! She's been looking for more! There's no doubt at all she's thrilled, even on the subject of danger. She's not just a smith, she's the best smith, and she's certainly going to try and prove herself to be useful as a spy as well.
"I think you don't know who you're dealing with here." She teases, grinning a little more. "You got to see some of my collection when you helped me before that show, but I bet you didn't know collecting old legends like that is one of my hobbies." She leans forward, obviously not deterred at all.
"I'm willing to give it everything I've got. All of it. Even the scouting. I'm not going to stay holed up in my smithy because it's safer, hell, even that's debatable on some days. It would be an honor to work with you." She's completely serious, though at least she's smiling a little more now. "You'd best work me hard, I'll never forgive you otherwise."

The smile that curled the gypsy's lips was best described as predatory. "Be careful what you wish for, lady smith. You might just get it." She eased back in her chair, settling in once more. "You ought to know by now how much I travel," she said. "You'll still be needing Soibhan or Macaire to train you in some of the basic physical work - swordplay and drills. I cannot be here every day to help you along. But rest assured you'll have your work laid out for you before I'm gone again."
She had, indeed, noticed Rosalie's impressive book collection. "And since you've such an interest in the old stories, you can consider that your first assignment. Find the facts in all of that fiction. We'll be starting on the physical side first thing tomorrow."

"As long as the majority of my training is under you, or your direction, I doubt I have room to complain." She replies, watching Rajani rather closely. "I'll go to Soibhan then, at least I'll have a familiar face about. Plus I like her spark, she's something special, that one. But perhaps it is time I meet this Macaire I've heard you talk about." If she's going to be working with all of them, the more familiar they get the better.
"Yes, ma'am, I'll get started on it tonight." Hopefully. Unless she gets a visitor or two, she's likely to do a bit of prying before going to sleep. If things are to get physical tomorrow, she'll need to be at her best. "What will I need to bring with?"

"Nothing but your Guardian and clothes you can move in," she replied. If there was a pointed look at Rosalie's dress in there, she did not make a show of it. Rajani had all the tools she could possibly need at her disposal - particularly after she had first started training with Macaire. In fact, she had the prefect place to practice - quiet, private, and versatile. She gave Rosalie the location of the old, abandoned warehouse where much of her current life had first begun.
"Now," she said, since that bit of business was taken care of. There was something else that had not escaped her notice, even in her temper. It seemed as good a time to bring it up as any. "Why don't you tell me about your little chat with Jacob Grimm."

There's certainly a sigh, more of a huff when she looks down at her own dress. She isn't pleased with it....But at least tomorrow her clothes will have dried. It isn't right to just let them stay completely covered in soot, and she was surprised when the colors came out...much brighter than she remembered them. "Right right, don't worry. I don't care much for dresses." She made note of the location, repeating it in her head a few times just to remember.
But her face was quick to fall at that one name. Oh she didn't like that name, she didn't want to hear that name ever again, but considering who she was involved with, she would probably have to. "Ah...." She sighs, laughing the slightest, "I guess I did let that slip." She could very well ask her what happened with her own chat with First, but...best not to pry. "Yes, I had a rather....unpleasant visit from Mr. Jacob Grimm." She seems to be grabbing for words. "I guess I brought it upon myself, I'm the one who replied to his letter after all." She's hesitant about telling her what it was about, but knows that Raj likely will push. Best to keep it out of the discussion as long as she can, but she has to be honest.

"He wrote you?" That was...a bit of a surprise, to be honest. She did not know much about the eldest Grimm sibling, but she had gathered enough to know that he did not reach out to just anyone. In fact, in her entire acquaintance with the twins, she had never once laid eyes on him, let alone received a letter.
"And what did he have to discuss with you that was so very important as to demand his presence?" Was it any of her business? Not precisely. But there again, if it concerned what she thought it did, then it was every bit her business. She would be damned if Jacob Grimm went around harassing her people behind her back. Particularly when it involved her business.

"Trust me, I was just as surprised." She laughs, trying to hide the way her nerves are starting to eat at her. Oh she knows how Raj thinks of the twins, she's seen how Raj took her..relationship with Last. She's not so sure she wants to tell her....
"Well....." She breathes, obviously running back through the meeting. No, the good part. The part where she wasn't being manipulated, that's just the way he is, she's back in the game now. "He....Well.....It was about marriage." She finally manages, trying to keep her eyes on Raj as she smiles awkwardly, cheeks the slightest bit pink. This can't go well, can it?

For a wild moment, Rajani thought Rosalie meant marriage to Jacob himself. But no. The moment passed quickly enough and common sense reasserted itself. That shy little smile. That quaint blush. Jacob had been to see Rosalie about her marriage to Last.
The gypsy's eyes narrowed and with a final flourish, her knife found itself imbedded in the table.
"Is that so." There was an edge to her voice that said if Rosalie's next words were not satisfactory, there would be hell to pay.

She should have expected that knife to go in to the table. It seemed to always end up in things wooden, especially when either of the twins came up. There was no doubt every last bit of color drained from Rosalie's face again, leaving her sitting straight up suddenly, holding her breath. How did Raj do that.
"Y-Yes. I-I had presented him with what little family history I had in my reply to him by letter, but...But he s-seemed to want to see how much I knew about the family, and...I hope I proved myself interesting at the least, but..." She was trying to keep calm, but her eyes kept drifting to the knife. "Raj, I promise my intentions are nothing but good, I promise. I would never do anything to hurt him, I swear." Maybe the slightest bit of begging will do her some good, and she's at least being honest with her. "He's my world, Raj, I promise if I ever do end up hurting him, you can have my throat." It would end up that way anyway, she knows too well. Maybe she'll get away with her life this time.
Maybe.

The gypsy allowed Rosalie to sweat for a good long minute while she stared unwaveringly at her, giving nothing away. Oh, the lady smith seemed eager enough to save her throat, but Rajani thought she knew people well enough. Rosalie might not be interested in dying, but neither was she lying. She loved Last true. It was just...difficult to let one's baby brother go. Blood or not, they were her family.
Easy or not, it was precisely for that reason that she wished Last all the happiness he could find. Even if that meant marriage to Rosalie. Besides, she supposed there were worse choices he could have made. She liked Rosalie well enough. Of course, that would not save the smith if she did beak his heart. However, Rajani supposed that it was about as safe as it could get with Rosa.
At last, she snorted and removed the knife from the poor, unsuspecting table. "Relax, lady smith. I'll not be killing you yet."
The gypsy resumed her knife-play, and casually continued as though nothing unusual had occurred. "I doubt the esteemed Jacob Grimm came all the way down here just to interview you concerning a potential match," she mused. "Important though such an event may be. Did he have anything else to discuss?"

It made her nervous, actually talking about her relationship with Last with Rajani. The last time, it had not gone so well. Well, at least in her opinion hit hadn't. Now, here she was, holding her breath as the woman stared her down, with a knife in the table they sat at. She'd been honest, that much she could say.
It's almost as if an order when she finally does breathe, relaxing just the slightest bit as her shoulders go lax. Not yet will Raj kill her. Yet.
"I doubt it was that much either." She shakes her head, thankful for the slight change in conversation. "He seemed to be rather interested in a crate though, one that went missing. I thought you might have something to do with it, or Soibhan even." She pauses, wincing the slightest as she remembers more after that. "He also wasn't too...keen on me fighting. Said if I fought I'd end up bring the deaths of...well...I think you already know, it's not like I make it a secret how important he is to me."

Rajani frowned. Oh, she had already known about the crate, sure enough, though from the sounds of it Jacob Grimm did not yet know - or at least her not then known - where it was. Unless he was testing Rosalie. But then, never having met the man, it was impossible for her to say how his mind might work. Perhaps he truly was ignorant of its exact location.
"I know where the crate is," she said offhandedly, though it was certainly not in her possession. Her mind, however, was already moving on to the most pertinent bit of information. The part that she could only have guessed at even a few minutes ago.
"So he was the one filling your head with doubts," she mused. Though she had suspected as much, the verification did not sit well with her at all. Oh, she and Jacob Grimm would be having words, alright.

Rosalie wouldn't but it past Jacob to know. It seemed like he knew more than she said, and it was probably a test to see how well she paid attention to the dealings her lover and his brother went through. Though if she had been wrong, she didn't want to think of what might be said of her.
There was obviously relief on her face when Raj confirmed, though only the slightest touch in her eyes. "I had a feeling you would. What, Desmond and I not doing well enough?" She teases, and the fact she's even brought up the other smith speaks well enough.
"Yeah. He said a lot of things, and a lot of things that hurt. A few things you managed to bring up too." So that's why she exploded.... "Last told me he's usually like that though, likes manipulating people. Keep that in mind if you ever run in to him."

"I'm not the one who took it," she said drily. What would she do with a crate full of blades? She had no use for them. In fact, she would be shocked if more than half of Soibhan's recruits even knew who she was. Though she did not make a particular secret of who she was, neither was she often in the capitol, let alone at the Swan training with Warden hopefuls.
As for Desmond, the gypsy did not deign to take notice of his mention.
Rajani hummed at the warning. It certainly concurred with her impression of the man - an impression which was less than favorable. However, he would not be the first manipulative man she had met. It was interesting, however, to know that Jacob had hit the same sore spots that Rajani herself had found. Perhaps she was more capable of predicting the way he thought than even she knew.

Rosalie raised her eyebrows, a little surprised. Well. At the least she knew who all was related into this. "Well. I think I know where it ended up going." It wasn't that hard to guess, considering. "I still could have made something. Work's finally slowing down now that I'm finishing up that massive order. Not sure about Des and his armor though. Should probably go bother him and yell some more, that usually does the trick." That name kept coming up. Either she was fond of him, or hated him, which was it?
"And I'm guessing that dagger's going to need a sharpening again. Those aren't made for wood." She sighs, holding out her hand to take it for her. "If you want to join me back I can get it done in...a minute. Five, if you let me change to something more safe."
"I'm serious though, he's not fun to deal with. He'll seem like he's rather nice and charming, then you make one little comment about the war and he's plain vicious." She wants to make sure Rajani's prepared, she doesn't want what happened to her to happen to anyone else. "Just about terrified me to death, and Last was half terrified too after he got him out. I don't ever think I've seen him that mad. But if there's anyone that can take on Jacob, I think it'd be you."
