"I stumbled upon him in the forest when he was dying, back when he was just a colt" Albus explained. "I brought him home and nursed him back to health. He then decided I was his new owner and promptly ignored my attempt to set him free." Shadow obviously knew he was being talked about, because he walked over and pushed his head under the knight's hand, Albus chuckling and rubbing him behind the ears.

Sora playfully butted her head with Jewel. Jewel smiled before saying, "Nothing like that happened when I tamed Sora. I was a knight-in-training and my group were led to the mountains where we would find our mounts. Sora was a young colt and dived down from the sky at me. I didn't know if she was playing or not but I panicked and ran. Sora chased me til I feel off a cliff and she happily caught me on her back. I figured she chose me to be her rider." Jewel said patting Sora's head. She looked at the parade and sighed seeing the Gold castle. "Good there is the castle. Now just need to get through the reception and I can get back to Silver kingdom." She said

(It's only young male horses that are called colts - females are fillies.) "Well, I wish my tale was half as exciting as that," Albus quipped before turning a little more serious. "Anyway, I'm afraid you might want to wait on heading back. The new king and queen have an announcement to make - not sure whether it'll impact you specifically or not, but you might want to stay and hear it nonetheless."

((I wouldn't of known that T^T)) Jewel sighed knowing that was true. "Yes my king has given his knight that order to stay til after the announcement. Now on some less serious thoughts, you going to dance with some of the girls at this thing?" She teased motioning to the large ball room they were now in. Their mounts were with the others resting or eating. Jewel smiled seeing other female knights being asked. Jewel kept an eye on the newly weds though just encase.

Albus allowed himself a small smirk. "Depends - are you open for a dance?" he quipped back, only half joking - he honestly probably wouldn't dance unless it was with her, since outside of her he only knew female Gold Kingdom knights, and from what he could hear, they were all being asked to dance already.

Jewel looked at Ablus in shock before blushing. She cleared her throat, "I suppose that I would be, on the account that you don't step on my toes." She joked even as her face grew redder. Jewel placed her hand in his.

"I think you'll find that I don't step on toes unless they try to be stepped on," Albus told her with a surprisingly charming little smile, taking her hand and starting to dance with her with surprising grace.

"I can now see that." Jewel said slowly relaxing in to his hold as they danced. The new king and queen dancing along smiling. "You are good at it." she said. Slowly the music stopped when the new King signaled that he and his Queen had an announcement. Slowly Jewel stopped the dance she was in with Albus to look at the two. "I guess this is the time." she said. The king smiled as he made the announcement, "Greetings guests and Knights from both kingdoms. My Queen and I would like to announce that we want Gold knights and Silver knights to marry each other. We believe that this will create a stronger unified force between both kingdoms."Jewel looked shocked at the two royals as everyone else cheered, though some of the knights a little more weakly.

Albus took note of the sound of Jewel's mile-a-minute heartbeat and gently helped her into a seat before turning to focus his attention back on the king and queen, just in case they had any more announcements.

"Did you know about this?" Jewel asked as she sipped slowly on some wine. She needed to calm down. no need to lose her head or control over this.

"Yes," was the blunt reply, Albus himself sipping some juice. "The King mentioned it to me in private due to the fact that I am rather infamous for not reacting well to surprises." Albus paused. "...Actually, that might be understating it. Anyway, he didn't want this particular bit of news to catch me by surprise so that I ended up causing an international incident."

Jewel looked at Albus surprised. "I am surprised that he even told you beforehand, But any way what am I goign to do? My mom has already been on me to marry now once the king and quen ordered it she is going to have a field day. I can already see the matchmaker she would get to look over the gold knights." Jewel said with a growl.

"Hide in some far, remote location where your mother can't get to you?" Albus suggested helpfully, a small smirk of amusement on his face at Jewel's dilemma. 'Sometimes I am very, very glad that I'm an orphan.'
