Spica took up the coins in her own magic and scrubbed them till they shined. They weren't especially valuable coins, most likely just change that had fallen out of pockets from the rides. "Don't worry, these can be just as helpful, you'll see." she said with confidence. "Hold this while I repair this hat.." she handed Wisp the small sewing kit. Grandmother and Granddaughter spent all of the late morning and early afternoon together. Spica showed Wisp how to repair small tears in clothes while patching up the mittens and how to sew on a button to replace one that had fallen off the hat. By the time mid afternoon had rolled around, everything Wisp had chosen to be given to new homes had been cleaned, dried, and fixed, saved for the pocket watch. Even the stinky shoes had been polished and sprayed down with something that made the smell go away.

"Now we're going to go to see the mare who's going to give all these items brand new homes. Help me pack all these things into our saddle bags. Oh, why don't you split up the candles between you're brother and sister. Your mother says they like to read scary stories by candle light, so I'm sure they'll use them!"

Wisp watched in awe as Spica mended an item, each stitch seemed so well placed. Trying her own hand at it, Wisp followed her instructions, but the results were not nearly as pretty being a beginner. Still the unicorn was proud of her contributions, and figured that she might need more practice at this. At least she now knew how to fix up whatever items she finds.

"I knew you were a wizard! I just didn't know how much." Wisp was truly adoring of how much better everything looked. As she packed the saddle bags, she left out the candles. " I guess I never even thought that Nev and Noble would ever want them. "

Soon she was all set and ready to go. " So who is this lady we are going to see?"

Spica lead her granddaughter down into town. "If you closely observe the ones you love and learn things that like to have or do, you can always find a way to brighten their day by doing something or finding little things they like and giving it to them. You're mother told me about Noble and Nev, but you could tell because of the amount of candle wax in the corner of Nobel's room."

The alicorn pushed open the door to a store called "Happy Hooves." The mare, a sky blue mare with silvering pink mane and white bow shaped cutie mark, smiled at the pair as they entered the store.

"Spica how are you today? Oh is this one of the lovely grandchildren I heard so much about?" The mare knelt down a bit, smiling at Wisp.

"Yes she is. Wisp, this is Bowtie, she owns this shop. Bowtie, this is Willow Wisp. Bowtie runs this little store where phony donate things they've grown out of or can't use anymore. Bowtie then sells them to other phony who aren't as fortunate as some others for a very low cost." She turns to Bowtie. "Wisp has some things she's found and cleaned up that need really good new homes."

"Oh really?" Bowtie said.

Spica nudged her granddaughter gentle. "Tell Miss Bowtie what you have and the kind of homes you think you should go to."

This one can also be wrapped up in 2 or 3 more posts I think

Following her grandmother, Wisp entered the shop and immediately began to poke around and admire the vast collection of items on the shelves. Her eyes gleefully took in everything they could see, all sorts of things she recognized and a few things she was unsure had any kind of purpose. She was so involved with looking around the shop it was hard to snap her attention back to the reason they had come.

Peering over a shelf, she saw the owner. “Hello Miss Bowtie. You have a wonderful shop.” Wisp made her way to the shop counter and slowly pulled each item they had brought out of the bag, detailing what her hopes were for them. “I think everything would be happy in home where they were useful, as much as I think they like being in my toy box too.”

“The Doll would like to be played with, so I think a small boy or girl would be best the owner. The wooly hat and these funny mittens… should probably go to someone who needs to keep warm a lot, and spends a lot of time outside, so they would be useful. And this sweater.. “ it was a truly ugly sweater, the kind you would see old school teachers wearing or at ugly sweater parties; Wisp still thought it was amazing with its unique patterning. “I’m sure anyone who wants to wear it would do it justice. The backpack should go on adventures and get to travel all over. The pocket watch should go to someone who really needs help being on time for things. I think the tea cup would like to go to a fancy party some day, so maybe a little girl or a older lady. The bottle and the coins?... I’m not very sure about those things.”

"You certainly thought all of those through." Bowtie said admiringly, "And I think you are right on all accounts!" The mare took the pocket watch first and put it under the counter behind the glass so no one could accidentally drop it. Taking the other things, she hung the backpack on the wall with many other backpacks, and pulled the sweater AND wooly hat onto a dress form. The mittens were placed in a box full of mittens and gloves, and the tea cup was gently placed on a shelf that held other cups and also saucers, plates, and delicate figurines. The bottle was placed on a stand that held many bottles of all shapes and colors and sizes and looked a bit like a art installation. The coins, which looked like lost human change was divided up, half of it went into a animal shelter charity box and the other a orphan fund charity box.

"There.." Bowtie said, nodding. "Everything in it's place and a place for everything. All that's left is.." she picked up the doll gently and was about to put it in a bin of toys when a little voice rang out across the store.

"MAMA I WANT THAT ONE!"

An exhausted looked mare dressed in a Phonyland Themepark uniform slowly approached Bowtie, Wisp, and Spica. A tiny foal, younger then Wisp was at her heels, her tiny wings buzzing in great joy as she looked up at the doll Bowtie held. The mother glanced between Wisp and the doll and looked a little crestfallen.

"Oh is she..getting that doll..?" the mother asked looking between Wisp and the shop owner. Bowtie shook her head and smiled.

"No, she just donated it. She's such a good little finder, she found so many things for the shop that will make a lot of people happy." She side glanced Wisp and winked, bent down and gave the tiny filly the doll. Small arms wrapped around it's soft body and hugged it tightly. All the mares smiled.

"How much?" the mother asked.

"Let me, Let me!" the tiny filly said, reaching into her side bag and producing a single bit coin. "All I have is one bit Miss Bowtie..is that enough?"

"As it happens, yes, it's exactly right!" the mare said, taking the coin. The mother leaned in, whispering;

"I can give you the rest.." She glanced at the toy box where other dolls and animals were marked at three bits. Bowtie waved her off.

"It's my shop and if I say it's one bit, it's one bit." The filly cheered and the mother smiled gratefully.

"This is the best birthday EVER!" the filly said as her mother scooped her up onto her back.

"Ohh Happy Birthday!" Spica said

"Yes Happy Birthday!" Bowtie chimed in.

"Thank you Miss Bowtie. Thank you Miss Alicorn."

"Don't forget to to thank the filly who found this doll and brought it here to find it a new home!" Bowtie said, patting Wisp on the head. The mini filly turned her big bright eyes on Wisp and leaped down, hugging Wisp with the doll firmly clutched in hoof.

"Thank you for finding her. I promise I will take good care of her now!" The filly climbs back onto her mom's back and waves goodbye to everyone. The mother smiles and waves as well as they head out of the shop.

Bowtie turns to Wisp. "I hope that was the kind of home you were hoping that the doll went too."

Silently, Wisp watched the entire transaction take place. Her face went a little flush at the compliments that Bowtie gave her about her finding ability. She was amused at the younger phony’s enthusiasm and energy. She was silently until she was attacked by the flying hug. “Ooohff. You’re very welcome.”

As the two left the shop, Wisp looked back to Bowtie with a wide grin. “Yes, I think the doll will be very happy with her. I wonder where the rest will go.” Wisp scanned the rest of the shop with her eyes, imagining all the phonies that may come in and take the items away. She had to admit that a shop was a much better place for a collection than a stuffy box. “Miss Bowtie, may I bring you more things, as I find them?”

Bowtie positively lit up at the suggestion. "Of course! Bring in anything you think needs a new home! You're so very sweet to even ask." Bowtie grinned at Spica. "I can see how she's related to you, kindness runs deep in your family."

Spica beamed, both proud and embarrassed by the praise. "I'm sure her mother and father get more credit then I do.." Bowtie laughs.

"Please Wisp, come by anytime even if you don't have anything new to donate."

“It’s all part of nuture.” Wisp grinned cheekily at her grandmare. She knew that it was less to do with genetics then it was how she was raised. Granted, some element of predisposition was there.

The little unicorn was even more pleased at being invited when she might not have anything to give. “That would be my pleasure. So many treasures here to admire.” It was true what they say, one phony’s trash was another’s treasure, and Wisp saw nothing but that.
