"Hannah, you were in and out of the hospital. No one could have expected any more than you gave. We all wanted you to focus on yourself. On healing and coming home to us." Delilah reached out and squeezed her friend's hands. "That's why today is so special."

But at the mention of different schools once more, Delilah felt the smile on her face flicker for a moment. Hannah would most likely catch it if she was looking but still Delilah tried to play it off. "Of course we will." She said more to reasure herself. Hannah had always been the voice of friendship. Delilah was more closed off to people and it cost her dearly. In the pit of her stomach, she could feel an ache. A sorrow. Hannah would start at Meadowview and win everyone over. As a result, she would have a new life and leave Delilah again. As long as she is happy...I can be strong

Yes, today was special, which is why she had no intention of letting Delilah dwell on sad things. The flicker of her smile facing for the brief second didn't go unnoticed which caused Hannah to squeeze her friends hand in return. "I'll even pick you up after school" not that she had any means to than to walk how ever many blocks it took to get from Meadowview to Crystal Academy - At least they were in the same school district. " We can either go to the Destiny City Public Library or find a tea or coffee shop that has free WiFi" a special place where the two of them could go to either work on things, or hang out didn't matter so long as it was theirs.

Delilah knew right off the back that Hannah had picked up on the flicker in her smile. It was still hard to hide it but she thought she could do it. Proof once again that this girl knew her far too well.

Sighing slight, Delilah's raven hair shook before she looked up. "I'll pick you up. I might not have a car but I do know how to drive now." She said casting her voice so her mother could hear it. There was some debate in her family about letting the teenager have a car. Her versus her parents mostly. They were winning.

"We will have to try a few places and find one with big, squishy chairs that we can claim as our own." She finally smiled again thinking about the two of them. Best friends in 'rival' schools. Hysterical. "Some place we can camp and be regulars."

"Really?"That's news to me When did you learn how to drive? Better yet are you any good at it? the last question was asked with both a smile and a raised eyebrow. Of course Delilah was a great driver, something she didn't doubt one bit, but it never hurt to ask. However it did add to the list of things for them to talk about.

The thought of becoming regulars somewhere elicited a laugh from Hannah, something about being able to walk into a shop and say 'we'll get our usual' sounded hilarious almost as if it was something that would have been taken from a book or TV series. "A place of our own"

"When have I not been good at something?" Delilah asked leaning back and crossing her arms in front of her chest. She mocked pain that Hannah would think she would be bad at something as simple as driving. "I have a clean record and passed on my first time through. I say that's something good.

Still nodding, she just shook her head. "So now if you can help me get a car out of my parents, we won't have to worry about getting to places. We can come and go as we like...or within curfew. I'm not allowed to drive pass ten at night without an adult in the car. Safety concerns for now. But at eighteen, I will be free to come and go as often as we like."

"When you used your entire allowance trying to win a large stuffed animal back in elementary school at the state fair." Hannah raised an eyebrow, a smirk across her face as she waited to see if Delilah remembered.

All joking aside she had faith that her friend was a careful driver. " I have no doubt you're most likely the safest driver out there." With that she turned to face Elizabeth and gave her the biggest puppy face she could manage. However when that didn't seem to be working as well as she hoped she smiled and looked back to Delilah. "Sorry, it was worth a try!"

"What about your amazing outfits? Have you thought about selling some of them to earn some money?" She had talent there was no doubt about that! With some hard work she could probably afford a used car for a decent price.

Delilah cast Hannah a look of slight, playful annoyance. That elephant had been the cutest thing she had seen all day. Of course she wanted it. And the man running the game had called her out. Never say she couldn't throw rings on a bottle.

"I have you know that you seemed to enjoy that as much as I did. Need I remind you about trying to make it fly?" Delilah cocked her head at the girl before shaking her head with a sign.

Biting her lip as the topic changed, Delilah looked away and shook her head. She was the second person in a few months to say she should but really? "I couldn't. No one would go for a no-name like me."

Hannah shrugged her shoulders playfully rolling her eye "Ey it wasn't my idea" when in all actuality in some round about way it probably was... well at least the part about seeing how far it'd fly out the window... the part with the lamp was ALLLLL Delilah.

Grabbing a hold of one of the small square couch pillows, Hannah swung it at her raven haired friend, playfully aiming for her head. "Oh hush you, you're not a no name, you're just not a big name. There's a difference. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who would love your clothes! But I'm sorry to tell you they'd have to wait in line because I got first dibs." There are plenty of people out there that boycott big name brands in lieu of generic or small named brands instead. The only thing now is to get Delilah to actually try to sell some of her creations. Hannah pondered this current dilemma for a bit.

It appeared that the two girls had different memories of the event because as Delilah and the lamp was at least half Hannah's. "Really? Who had recently watched Dumbo?" Delilah asked cocking her head to the side. "And don't say me. You know I really disliked the music in it."

Just as the words came out of her mouth, Delilah felt the pillow smack her in the side of her face. "Hey!" She called out before sighing and shaking her head. "You will always be first on the list but don't be disappointed if there isn't a list." Of course she wanted to be a designer. She loved it so much. But she was nothing special. Just a teenager with a passion for clothes.

"Have a little faith in yourself! I know I do." If there was one thing she wanted for her friend it was for her to realize her potential. She had such wonderful ideas for outfits and had an eye for color. now if only you'll let others see it too

Delilah only stared at her friend with a look of 'really, is this a musical'. Hannah was always there for her but going out into the world where if the right person saw it and hated it meant it was over for you? Could she really pass that test?

"I believe that it's time for you..." Delilah grabbed the other blue blue and smacked Hannah across the head herself. "...to tell me about the hot doctor or nurse you wrote me about that one time. Mr. Dreamy." She smirked and smacked Hannah again with the pillow before laughing.

In the next room, Elizabeth stood by the wall listening and smiling. Her home had laughter again and he made her heart swell.
