Shiloh had had a week to panic; at this point he was mostly panicked out. He’d seen enough to panic about, but he also knew that it was of no help uselessly flailing about when he could be doing useful things like exploring the island, or now, talking to Jack.

Thank the lucky stars for Jack. The man was smart, and gave Shiloh even more reason to sort this thing out quickly, eager to have an info sharing session with him. Jack was aware of the circles, though how much he knew Shiloh had no way of asking. Then an idea came to him, and he hoped that Jack would get the hint.

He held the pen, and quickly made a short vertical “Yes” on the paper. A second later, another ‘O’ appeared, and the pen tapped the pad of paper with a gentle insistence.
