It was summer once again in the tribe. A time of training and hard work. Winter had made things harder with the snow and lack of food. Things had slowed during winter, such as training. It only lasted part of the day due to the cold. Now that summer warmed their lands, things were back to normal. The tribe had been blessed with another set of kits. Keith and Cam were as happy as ever and it seemed liked the tribe was doing well. Altair sat quietly as he watched his two sons Malik and Abbas spar. Keith had been teaching them the way of the paladin. Since the arrival of his children however, Altair took over training his own children. He knew that Keith's place was with his family and he had no problem with that. Now that his sons were grown, he took them out on scouting missions from time to time to see how well they used their skills. Malik seemed to be coming along well. It might very well be time for him to pick an order soon. Abbas though... seemed to take a little longer to adapt to something. He would eventually learn, though it may take him longer then others. Altair watched Malik and Abbas move around the keep, using the skills they were taught. They were both doing quite well. Abbas seemed to be getting better. He always did have a grudge over Malik for being able to learn things quickly. Of curse once Abbas got the upper hand, he tended to let it go to his head. Just like now. Not a good a thing. "Abbas." He called out to him. Abbas moved around the keep, doing well to avoid his brother. They had been at it for a wile now. It wasn't anything serious and they were always told never to use their claws wile sparing. That was so no one would get hurt. Good rules, considering all the times he tended to get hit by his brother. This time, he managed to get the upper hand though. He had caught his brother off guard and managed to get him in a tackle. That earned him quite a few points. Smiling he turned to his brother. "Come on Malik. Is that all you got?" He taunted his brother and managed to dodge a pounce and swipe of his brother's paw. It was then that he heard his father call out to him. He quickly looked up and turned his attention toward his father. "Yes father?" Malik growled chasing after his brother. He didn't have a problem with his brother winning. He just had a problem with his brothers taunting. No one likes a taunting show off. He moved fast, seeing some rubble coming up on his right. He headed that way, intent on using it to see if he can get some leverage and cut his brother off. Once close enough, he jumped on the rubble then jumped off toward his brother. He thought for sure he had him. He missed but quickly swatted at him with a paw. Missed again. It was then his father called out. Of course Abbas looked, and when he did Malik tackled him hard. Altair watched as Malik took down Abbas. When they both hit the ground Altair answered Abbas. "Never take your eyes off your opponent." Abbas groaned as he closed his eyes. He knew that. Of course he knew that. Why did he look? That was the number one rule. Never let distractions get too you. "Right..." He replied in a quiet voice.

Alban blinked and tried again. He was trying to figure out how to best run and blend in so he wouldn’t be seen. There were times like today when the sunlight was just strong enough that when he moved his yellow paws flashed far too bright and could be picked out right away. Shaking his head he figured he should just count his blessings that most of him was brown and black and not bright yellow. It would be hard to scout and patrol for intruders if everyone could see him from miles away. Turning his head he decided he would practice later in the twilight hours when he could feel more accomplished. For now he would stay to the shadows of the area and keep an eye out for food. It wasn’t his job to bring back food per say but with winter being what it had been Alban always tried to help out where he could. He knew his father would want it that way.

Frey walked on the highest part of the castle and looked down at the tribe. After years it was finally going to go through changes where the modeity was finally accepting they were ready to be a tribe instead of a clan. It had been a long trip, he had met up with his sparkly grape maiden, had adorable children that were out terrorizing the world and he had watched as other tribe members had their own families grow. There had been some tough times and some of the children and other tribe members had left to other things, however no matter what they went though they were always here for each other. Careful of his footing, frey jumped to a more secure section of the wall before finding a good place to watch over the tribe. He didn’t think anything would happen, which was probably why he was up so high, and it was an excellent place just to fox watch everyone.

Keith stood on one of of the walls along with Frey overlooking the tribe. Being the only two paladin's in the tribe it was easier to see everything from a height. If anything were to happen they would easily see it and spring into action. Though it was a little hard to concentrate when you could see your kids running around. It was hard not to keep an eye on them. He was specially proud of Alban. Though he had only been training a short time he had Impressed Altair enough that he made his son the head of the rogue order. A great honor. Not that he wasn't proud of his other children. He was proud of them all. They all worked hard and he looked forward to the day that Alic joined both him and Frey. Of course that was was all up to Freyr. He was head paladin of course. After a quick observation to see where his other children were, he turned to Frey.
"It would seem all is quiet." He looked up to the sky. "And its fine day." He looked back down at the tribe. "Its almost a shame that teachings must begin soon." He smiled at Frey. "Alban!" Rosemary called as she made her way through the forest close to the tribe. She was currently looking for her brother. Ever since he became the head of an order he was always out practicing. Not that it was a bad thing. But being out alone was... She jumped onto a log and it was there that she spotted him. "There you are." She jumped down and made her way over to him. "You shouldn't be out here alone..." She made a face. "I know your the head rogue but still..." Maybe it was the fact that she was training to be a druid and as such it was her job to make sure everyone was healthy and safe. Or maybe it was because she was his sister. "Besides. You've been out here for a wile now. I'm sure your skills are fine." She smiled. "Besides. Its almost time for teachings... and you don't want to be late do you?" Alec laughed as he watched Abbas get tackled my Malik. It was always entertaining to watch the two spar and though the two were brothers they always tried to out due one another. Well, Abbas did. Maybe he thought that his father didn't see much in him. smiling he couldn't help himself. "You almost had him that time Abbas." Abbas glared over at Alec. "Shut up Alec..."He laughed. "Calm down. I was only playing.""Yeah well..." Abbas jumped to his feet. "We'll see who's playing when I beat you senseless." He growled in defense. He hated to be the center to attention and teased. He prepared to pounce."Oh no... I'm shaking in my fur."

Wincing at the new noise he looked yp and saw his sister coming toward him calling out to him. He was glad to see her, but it means he was still too easily spotted. He trotted up to her while she scolded him. “Well if you could find me so easily then I have to practice more. I am careful and Aero could always come and track me down if I didn’t show up after a while.” He smiled. “Though you are right. I would not wish to miss the teachings.” His sister did know him so well Alban loved to listen to teachings of all kinds. Many times he had no direct use for things but he was certain that someday he would find a use for the strangest little things that he picked up here and there. “So are we going to gather everyone or was your trip out her just for me this time?” His tail flicked and he was glad that his sister looked out for him as much as she did and made sure he could keep updated on matters in the tribe even when he was out scouting for long periods of time.

It took some time, getting back to the tribe. He was trying to figure out the best way to tell Altair that he was a father. He still wasn't sure Hazel was going to join the tribe and that in and of itself posed a small problem. Not enough to keep him from ever leaving her, just the way to protect both the tribe and his small family. Jumping into the tribe grounds just in time to watch the siblings practice made him forget the really small problem. He could use some sparring time himself with the young wanna be rangers.
"Greetings Altair." He gave a bow to the elder. "May I have a moment of your time?" Seeing more of the siblings around the grounds reminded him of his three that were off with Hazel and on their own, probably.

Of course with out any further warning Abbas pounced at Alec, who made no effort to dodge at all and was tackled off his small resting spot. Though he could not see the two foxes, Altair could hear the two scuffling around behind the rubble Alec had been on and occasional insults and random arguing. Altair sighed as he watched an occasional dust cloud fly out from behind the rubble. Though grown Alec and Abbas had a ways to go before becoming adults. Malik shook his head along with his father as he watched his brother and Alec roll around behind the rubble. He then glanced up and spotted Tokala headed toward them. He was glad to see that he was well. "Father." He looked over at him. "Tokala returns." At his sons words, Altair glanced up and saw the head ranger headed their way. He turned his attention back to his son and nodded, giving him leave to go and do whatever it was he wished till it was time for their studies. Turning, he addressed Tokala. "Safety and peace Tokala... I trust your journey went well?" He then nodded when the fox asked if they could talk. "Of course. Speak freely." He began a simple walk so they could get some privacy and not be bothered by the scuffle going on behind the rubble.

TIME SKIP Yep! Its that time again! another time skip to get this baby rolling again!
It is now winter time with in the Caledonia tribe. All foxes who were in training have now graduated and have been initiated into their orders. The castle and grounds are covered in snow and Altair has advised the tribe to be careful as the stone walls and paths outside can be slippery. (We will be having a clan meeting so I will start first)

Altair stood in courtyard on a small stand. The last snow storm that had blown through had completely covered the castle and grounds in sown. It was almost impossible to get anything done which is why he had called this meeting. He waited quietly for his brothers and sisters to calm down and ease themselves into a spot. Eventually it became quiet and he started to speak. "Welcome Brothers and Sisters. It's good to see you all here. As you all know, the last few days have been hard. I did not expect the storm to last as long as it did but we managed. I am proud to see how you all have grown and in a situation such as this, ban together to help one another and keep the piece. That is what this tribe is about. This storm was the Makers way of testing us. To see if we would fly or fall. Would we abandon our ways in time of need? Or would we stand strong?" Altair paused here and met the eyes of every fox before continuing. "And we stood strong. We would not abandon our creed." "This will not be our only test. The Maker watches us and guides us. Be aware of your surroundings. Remember the tenets... and as always, know that the Mater watches over us. So be aware of the choices you make. For you may find that one decision can be the downfall of many." He took another brief pause and nodded. "With that said, I believe its time to move on to more pressing matters. The snow has left quite a mark on the castle. As you can see it was almost impossible just to get here. So first I would like to ask for some volunteers to help clear the courtyard and pathways of snow. Next, Tokala, Malik..." He addressed his two rangers. "Take two of the paladins and begin a hunting party. Our stores are running low. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please bring them to my attention. Those of you who do not volunteer I only ask that you contribute in some way. Thank you." He nodded calling the meeting to a close.

Izumi Tenshi Belen for Malik, Alban for abbas X Moon Fighter X Alban for Aero, Shari being a brat Alban looked over to Aero. He knew full well that as the tribe’s rouge’s they would be more useful helping the tribe clean right now rather then hunt as Abbas would be the only one really able to blend in to help with the hunt when the terrain was like this. His own coat was a bit too bright right after a snow storm and Aero would stand out as well. He disliked the idea of not being able to do something more given the fact there were already a large number of tribe members who could clean just fine, but didn’t have knowledge of the tribe lands to know where was unsafe given the snow coating. After weighing the option he looked to the other rouges. “I would say we help with the hunt but as a secondary, we should make sure the paths around the tribe land have no additional damage. If there are trees down or any abnormalities report it. Aero the forest would help hide your coat in the darker dappled light areas. Abbas the mountains and cove don’t have the same advantage of coverage for us so you’re a better pick as you’ll blend with the snow. I’ll look to the waterfall paths. Unless of course you’d like to stay and help clean?” He would not send Aero back to where he nearly drown and having the druid head coming after his hide if her son got hurt near a giant pool of cold water was not ideal. “Make sure your footing is good no matter where you are, we don’t want to try the druid’s patience with us.” He smiled at the other rouges. He also gave a smile to his children on the other side. “Care to join in? If the others are headed out it would be better to have a backup given the treachery of the weather.” Shari rolled her eyes and looked at her fathers. Nope she’d much rather curl up with Tyir and just let all the snow melts. Still she knew from the look on her father’s face she wasn’t going to get out of this so easily. “I’ll help with the clean up here. I know I’d do just fine in the forest with dad but I bet Tyir would do even better. This way if dad has something else he’d rather do, he can.” Yep she totally just volunteered the brown male to go on a long trip to help make sure the paths were intact and help out with the hunting. She felt a nudge in her side as Tyir let her know he did not like this idea one bit. “Tough nuts” she whispered under her breath. Really it wasn’t like Tyir was freighted of her father’s or anything but he didn’t spend a lot of time around them either. This way her father could pick if he wanted to spend time with Tyir or not. Belen’s tail was wrapped gently with Flora’s own the male flicked his eyes around the tribe quickly. “My father makes a point Flora you might wish to stay until you’ve been around the tribe longer and know where it’s not safe even if it seems like it. I don’t want anything to happen to you.” He watched her nod quietly. “I”ll head out with the hunt to do what I can.” He wasn’t the greatest hunter and certainly wouldn’t qualify for a paladin but he could help chase down and funnel the game as he was told just fine. He moved to Malik to volunteer though he was no paladin. Malik was out hunting? That was interesting. “I’ll help with the cleaning.” She figured this way she would have something to do and there would be others she could ask questions to along the way and later when Malik came back she’d pester him just a bit to find out how things went. She moved to the side ready to get to work on cleaning up the snow once the others had cleared out of the way.

It was that time again and Tokala stood near for orders. He pretty much knew it was time to go out hunting again, but waited to hear it. Turning to Malik after Altair talked to them, the green fox motioned to the side. "Which direction do you want to take?" Looking over at the rest of the tribe, "Who do you thing we should take with us? I was thinking of bringing Nahele along for training, though minimal for this weather." Tokala trusted his son to keep up and learn, though he hadn't talked to the younger fox about what he really wanted to do. The younger fox watched, listened and noticed his father was talking about him to the other ranger. It was only a matter of time before Nahele would be going out with them to see how well his skills were for possible position as a ranger. He could track as well as his father, but his sense of direction was almost as scattered as his mother. Thinking of her, Nahele looked to see if she was around the tribe, but it seems she was holed up in her den. He prayed that Hazel had found enough food and one of his siblings had stayed closer to keep her some company. The storm had hit a bit sooner than either Tokala or Nahele could predict and bring the one female they both cared for back to the tribe in time.

After his father spoke, Abbas sighed. The storm had practically made a mess of their home. It would probably take the whole day just to make a dent. He glanced around as everyone began to move and talk among themselves to see what they could help with. Looking over to his left, he could see his fellow rouges gathering. He should probably go over there as see what Alban had in mind. Abbas stood and made his way around to the rest of the rogues. As he did, he passed his brother. He thought about asking to go with him. Maybe Alban would have them help the hunters. "Hey." He approached the others. "So... What's the plan?" He addressed the head rogue. He listened quietly to the proposal and nodded. "Makes sense. A storm like this is bound to do some damage to the surrounding area." He nodded. "Sure. I'll head out that way." He then chuckled at Albans comment about the druids. "Yeah... My mom would kill me. How long should we scout for? Should we meet back here or some where outside the gates to discuss what we found?" Malik made his way to Tokala so they could discuss where to go and who to take. "If you wish to take your son, I have no problem with it. I think it would be good for him to observe and get some hands on training. Any of the paladins would be good to take. Freyr is probably the most skilled of them all..." It was a hard choice. It was about then that Belen approached them. "Ah. Belen." He nodded. "Did you wish to join us?"

Alban was relieved that Abbas had a good head on his shoulders. He was asking the right kind of questions which made him a good rouge. “We will have time to clear paths over the next few days so this cursory trip should only take half your day, that way we are available to assist if something does appear in the reports in.” He knew he should be the one they reported back to but a part of his mind almost wanted to suggest reporting to Chamomile as she was the head scholar and would have knowledge of past damage to those areas and likely how it had been cleared before. Still sloughing off his duties wouldn’t do well as an example. “Outside the gate though back here.” The land was safe and they would be able to get help quickly and of course he would know his rouges were safe. “Remember to be swift but safe. The land trouble can be cleaned up any day, waiting for you to recover from a broken leg would take much longer.” He hoped that all of the paths were clear and that the only mess was going to be some fluffy snow. SilverShieldwolf Belen -your foxes as it's important to honor head Ranger's presence Nodding Belen glanced around. It seemed there would be a number to stay behind and clean which made him feel better about his own choice. “Yes. I am not the most skilled but I am glad to help where I am able.” He knew the lands fairly well but didn’t have the eye for detail that would have made him a good rouge. Well at least he didn’t feel he did. He would rather be pliable where they needed him. He nodded to both Tokala and Nahele. He figured he would likely being paired with Nahele in terms of being delegated to should Nahele come along.

Flora was at an upper vantage point watching she watched Belen and Shari chat. It was nice to see siblings chatting things had been quite in the tribe for a long time to the point she had been considering leaving. Still she wouldn’t leave as long as Belen was here and the male didn’t seem to have any desire to leave. She yawned and stretched to get up. She would leave to go hunting to burn off some energy. Alban met his daughter in law as she was off to hunt. He was considering the same. She seemed to have a lot on her mind. “Care to share? As my mother would tell me it often eases a burden to share it.” Flora starred at the older male for a while while they walked in silence for a while. “If Belen and I left would you be saddened?” The thought made Alban trip up for a moment. “Of course I would be sad. The tribe is meant to be a safe spot for growth, safety, harmony and many other things.” like family. “still if you and your mate wish to find joy outside of the tribe then I would ask for you to stop in and check on us but of course you could leave.” In truth he was horrified and having a hard time of even the thought of this. Belen was his son and Flora the female that was now part of the family. He would talk with Belen and the other later.
