LuLu huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest. She wished to scoff at him more, explain how they had tried asking nicely but then he had chosen to get physical. The sigel flipped a braid over her shoulder when they began their retreat.

The rabbit merely rolled her eyes at the leader's last miserable attempt of flirting with Melisande. A wink. Lu set her jaw stiffly. She demanded with her eyes that they finish their escape already and when they had yet to disappear she began to open her mouth. Fortunately, the gang of boys finally took the hint and scurried away. It appeared as though Lu would not get to finish her tirade. So be it, they were not worth the chase and she would prefer them gone.

LuLu blinked in surprise at the muse's inquiry. To be honest, she had made it out relatively unscathed compared to the human. She assumed that question could be answered without words. Nevertheless, she nodded her head softly, "I am fine." She accepted the air kiss and provided a solid peck of her own on Meli's cheek. A nervous heat curled in her body, but Lu's posture still seemed to thrum with confidence. The younger sigel's waved off her friend's complement. "No, not brave. I simply have no tolerance for that behavior. They should have thought twice before messing with my friend."

Lu's brows knitted in concern as her turn for questioning began. "Are you alright?" The rabbit gave one last glance between the muse and the space the men had previously occupied, "Does this happen often?"

Her lips pursed in thought as she tried to explain her actions. After a few moments, she pointed at her skull with a knowing smirk, "People like them are unique. Their heads are thicker. It takes a firm hand to get your message through to their brain." LuLu giggled, "I live in a house with three of them. I understand what it takes to be heard."

Her hand then moved to cup the muse's face. Her fingertips just barely dragged on the warm flush of her elder's cheeks. "Do not feel embarrassed when you use your voice to command. It sounds beautiful like that."

Melisande didn't shy away from the touch upon her cheek. Her eyes lowered modestly, but her lashes lifted to capture Lulu's gaze again after a moment. "Thank you. It happens, but aren't usually so...physical." She twisted to watch the last of them retreat, and relaxed a bit once they were again alone.

Pasha fixed the end of Lulu's braid so it laid just right. "Being so...direct...isn't always easy. I think people expect certain things of me." She watched the Rabbit's expression, wondering if the girl understood. There was an old sadness in the corners of her smile, but it didn't last.

"I don't suppose you have to deal with that? It must be wonderful to be able to express yourself so clearly!" Pasha's smile dimpled, and she gave the braid a tiny tug. "You really do look beautiful, Lulu. What keeps you busy, day to day?"

LuLu noticed the tension ease from Meli's body. She brought her hand down from the muse's face. It then smoothed over the hair in her braid and rested on Meli's knuckles. "I do not care what others expect. You are strong. Others should know this." Pasha had managed to survive the forest. Obviously, she was more tenacious than people had given her credit for. Anyone who could survive that ordeal had to be.

Lu's eyes grew distant for the briefest of moments as she said her next statement, "Be proud of every part of yourself." The good and the bad. The passive and the direct. LuLu had acknowledged that everyone had a mixture of both within them.

For a while and even now, LuLu's own personal challenge had been growing to appreciate each facet of her own personality; studying each new angle as though it had created a fine jewel. Perhaps she could shed a little bit of light on the subject for Melisande, so it would not be as much of a struggle to overcome.

LuLu was already thankful to learn that even her self entitled 'perfect princess' had tiny faults. Cracks which made her more remarkable to observe. It gave Lu hope that her own imperfections did the same.

The bow of the rabbit's lips simply drew tighter until she donned a pretty little arch of teeth and lip gloss. "You are capable. I will be upset if I hear you were hurt because you did not stand up for yourself." Her words were purred like a joke. Yet, there was still an underlying truth in them. Only Meli herself stoodin the way of her completely expressing her emotions.

LuLu giggled once more, "What keeps me busy? My usual. Saving damsels and shopping." She tapped a finger to her chin. "I checked one off my list. Want to help me with the other? I do not visit book stores often. I am having trouble finding one for my guardian, Josh."

The Muse brightened instantly, twining her fingers again with Lulu. "Yes! I'd love to help! What does he like to watch on television?" Vi had taught her the secret trick to Christmas shopping. Analyze a person's choice of show and the perfect gift would be obvious. Melisande preferred radio to the TV, but Vi insisted that meant an iSongs gift card, whatever that was.

She pulled a book from the shelves Lulu had been near as they passed, suddenly intrigued. The Sigel held it against their chest as they drifted.

"What do you mean, saving damsels?" She asked, honestly. Melisande truly didn't see the parallel.

LuLu moved alongside Meli, fluidly and languidly as though this were a common occurrence between them. Her eyes glided along the various books on display. They all blended together to her eyes like a swirl of color. With a soft hum she replied, "Mysteries. He likes mystery shows."

The rabbit tilted her head as the muse picked up a book. She wondered what had caught her friend's attention. What did Meli like?

LuLu answered honestly, "I protect those dear to me." Or, at least, she liked to try.

Her curiosity getting the better of her, she finally asked, "What did you find?" Her gaze darted down to the book snuggled to Pasha's chest.

Melisande glanced over her shoulder reflexively, but the group had definitely left. She felt a surge of gratitude towards the other Sigel, though the Muse was beginning to realize she needed to learn how to protect herself with words as well as actions. Rivener had promised to show her how to defend herself, but standing up for herself was something else entirely. "Those dear to you are lucky." She gave the girl's hand another gentle squeeze and let her fingers slip from Lulu's.

"Mysteries, hmm?" Pasha turned slowly until she found the section she was looking for. She led gracefully, like a good dancing partner, unconsciously leaving enough room for Lulu in every aisle, and angling her body subtly when it was time to turn. They finally found themselves facing the young adult wall, and Pasha blushed at Lulu's next question as she skimmed the titles.

"Oh, this book isn't for me. It's for...Zul." One hand held the book tighter against her chest, her other hand still trailing along the spines of the mismatched books on the shelf before her. Melisande wasn't adept at hiding her feelings, and wouldn't have thought to hide them from Lulu anyway, so the way she nibbled for a moment at her bottom lip probably didn't go unnoticed. "It's about bonzai trees. Oh! Here!"

Grateful for the distraction, Pasha pulled a jet black book off the shelf and handed it to the Rabbit. There was a silhouette of a train on the cover, with one one car lit and embossed. "This is a book about a mystery! You choose what page you go to depending on what clue you follow. If you make good guesses, you get to read the end! If you don't pay enough attention, you have to start over. I've never gotten it right." The Muse smiled a little sadly, and pointed to the authors name. "There are other books in this series too, if he doesn't like trains. Oh! Or there are fancy dinners you can buy tickets for, and someone pretends like they've been killed when the lights go out! You have to speak with the other guests to figure it out, like a real mystery! I've seen them advertised on the bulletin board outside."

LuLu accepted Meli's comment with a nod and followed after her in relative silence. She would only speak up to point out the various book she had seen before; they were few and far between.

The rabbit's ears perked at the mention of her "brother's" name. Any time that name was brought up it grabbed her attention. Plus, the muse's nervous gestures took her off guard. The girl could not fathom why Zul would make anyone uncomfortable. He practically oozed charisma and spoke in a smooth, smoky tone that could melt hearts. LuLu could not help but stare with a furrowed brow as her eyes flitted over Melisande biting her lip. However, the rabbit's face then softened into a warm smile, "Zul is wonderful. I never knew he liked trees though." LuLu giggled, "You learn new things everyday, hm?"

At last, LuLu took the mystery book from Meli. She flipped it over in her hands to examine the cover before she cracked it up. The pages crinkled as she thumbed through them in quick secession. The rabbit listened to her friend's description of the book. It sounded interesting. She was certain Josh would enjoy reading it and perhaps she could even take part in the adventure. "It is perfect! I can let you know if we make it to the end. I will try not to spoil anything." LuLu tucked the spine under her arm and offered Meli a polite nod. The girl then pursed her lips at the mention of dinner theaters. "I can check the dinner's out before I leave. Have you been to one?"

Pasha perked up when Lulu pointed out books she'd read. She pulled one off the shelf curiously, and added it from her stack. Her smile returned as Lulu spoke warmly of Zul, and she glanced at the Rabbit as she flipped through the mystery book. "I don't know as he does, really. We'll find out!"

"Are you ready, or still shopping?"As Lulu tucked the book under her arm, Melisande nodded towards the registers. "It was really nice to see you, Lulu. And I've never been to a dinner theater, but I'd love to hear how the book ends! I think I'd have to cheat to get the right ending." Pasha smile was a little rueful. She was shaken from the encounter, but the other Sigel's strength hadn't left her. "I have a cell phone now...if you'd like to stay in touch?"

It warmed Lu up to watch Melisande add one of the rabbit's favorite books to her collection. Sher hoped her friends would like it as much as she had. She also nodded at the other sigel's comment, "It is never too late for new hobbies." Even she was a bit shocked about the eclectic interests she had picked up over the years. Her enjoyment of cherry flavored taffy was purely Sevilin's fault since he kept the pantry in stock of it. The beach was also growing on her even if it meant a day of frizzy hair from the salt saturated air.

LuLu glanced around once more before she spoke, "I am done. Josh was my priority here." She began their float towards the check out line and continued, "But you were the best kind of distraction." Her lips spread into a gentle smirk as she moved ahead, "We can take you if we go to one. I would like that. And we will try not to cheat on the book. I make no promises." With that she giggled.

"I would love to. I do not have one, but Josh does. He lets me use his when he is not on call." She waited for Meli to get her phone out to note her number then she rattled off her guardian's digits like it was second nature; he had probably burned it into her brain after he had lost her in the supermarket so many times.

Pasha brightened at the invitation, shifting the books in her arms. "Lulu, I'd love to go with you! If I'm not imposing." She leaned forward to give the other Sigel a one armed hug, balancing her books to the side. She pulled away to enter the Rabbit's number into her phone awkwardly, chewing her lip as she tried to figure out how.

"Okay, I have it. Thank you again...for everything." She blushed a bit instead of speaking of the confrontation. Lulu had been so brave. Meilsande had a lot to learn.

"I hope to see you again soon." Her smile was warm, and she dipped in the air a fraction in imitation of a curtsy.

LuLu returned the muses's hug with her own version of a one armed embrace; a little more chest bumping and less graceful limbs. She parted with a polite nod and a flash of teeth. "I wish the same. Good day Meli. Stay safe."
