buy the item, click on it, when the item box info appears click on gift.
It'll take u to a new page but its ok!
choose the box you want, then type the username of the person you're sending it to, or choose from a list of friends if the person is in your friend list, and type in a message if you want too!
Finally just type your password in for confirmation and then click "confirm"!
It'll ask you to review the info so you don't accidentally send it to the wrong person and then once you've made sure everything is a-ok click "confirm" once more to send!
