Julienne sighed, walking over to the two. “There’s no time to celebrate right now, Elvira…and you, page. You need to start attacking that thing. I gave you a start, but you have to continue the fight. Fight it as though you would fight anything, punch it, or kick it. Or Elvira, you have some magic that you can use. If you have a moment or find it a good time to do so, simply clasp your hands and say ‘Elvira Wreath’, and you’ll unleash your power.”
She gently nuzzled Newgranges’s leg. “But I’m afraid it won’t be that much of a help, so this will be mostly up to you. She is just a chibi rank…so she doesn’t have as much power as she will when she’s older. Not that I’m saying she’s weak, but she does need practice. And you do have the advantage of being what you are…but I do hope you have some brawling experience. So…get ready to fight.”

He wanted to protest—he had very little experience in fighting and wasn't one to go out and brawl…but he didn't want to let them down, either. Not when Carlee—Elvira? Okay, Elvira, not Carlee. But that meant he wasn't Arias, he was—
Newgrange.
The name hit him, and for the briefest of seconds he felt dizzy and unprepared.
But then he felt stronger. More confident. Prepared.
"Okay," he said, and drew in a breath. The terms were foreign but he was soaking it in as best as he could. This was real, and there wasn't really a way he could conceive talking himself out of it. He could debate the mechanics of it, and the how of it later, but right now there was a monster they had to defeat. "What do you know about Newgrange?" he blurted. "It was like someone said it in my head."
The cat had said she couldn't really help him, but she knew more than either of them and he had to know. It was gnawing at him.
Drawing his arm back, he tried to hit the youma—again, and again, as fast and as strong and as often as he could. It flailed and wriggled and seemed to be weakening with each new blow. It lifted an arm to try and swing at the three, though it missed—badly. Newgrange was about to lose hope when he struck one final blow and the youma burst into dust with a heinous wail. He stood, blank look on his face, panting. His adrenaline was still going wild and his heart was racing; with all the excitement, he didn't know what to do and looked back at Julienne as if for further instruction.

Elvira stared as her brother-turned super hero punched the monster until…well. Until it exploded.
She gave a shriek of delight and ran back to Newgrange, hugging him once again. Boy did she ever love hugs. “You did it! We did it! The monster is gone! You are so cool, Arias!” The chibi looked at Julienne. “He did it! He really did it and I didn’t get to do anything, so that kind of stinks…but we killed it!”
That had been scary. Really, really, really scary…but at the same time it had been pretty fun…and none of it would have happened if Arias hadn’t been walking her home. In fact…she might have gotten eaten if Arias hadn’t been walking her home.
The thought was a rather frightening one and she hugged her brother tightly. “You know, I think you being over protective might have saved my life this time…Thank you for coming to get me…”

Julienne gave a sigh of relief as the youma was dusted and yawned. “Newgrange, hm? Well. I don’t know much. That’s for you to discover. But…you are a knight. As your sister is a senshi, so there you go. You are both on the same side of the war that’s raging in this city…so at least you can be thankful for that.” She slumped down next to the page and sighed. “You senshi take so much out of me sometimes. My goodness.”
Looking at the two, she couldn’t help but give a proud little smile. “Oh. To go back to your normal everyday selves, just think about them. Concentrate hard on them, and you’ll turn back. Do be sure you don’t let anyone you don’t know is also on our side find out who, and what you are…or there could be very bad consequences…Newgrange, if you want me to tell you what I know about knights, might I come home with you tonight? And you can feed me…I am ever so hungry.”
She gave the cutest meow she could muster, the thought of food making everything better.

"Carlee, you know I'll always come to get you if you need anything," Newgrange mumbled, blinking to try and focus. "Or, Elvira," he corrected.
He was still trying to determine if he was having some massive hallucination, but as his heart rate slowly returned to normal, he realized that he couldn't keep trying to find some way to make this not real. He was still wearing these weird clothes—and so was his sister. He looked at Julienne, trying to process what she was saying, and then nodded.
"Yeah," he finally decided; maybe if he actually sat down and talked about this, it would make more sense. "I have to make sure Carlee gets home safely, but I've got a free night. I haven't made dinner yet, so…"
He looked at his sister, concern still evident in his face. For the first time since the youma had appeared, he could tell how cold he was—and he wanted to go back to his nice, warm, bundled self. The cat had said something about that—just…focus on his every day self. That wasn't so hard…just, normal Arias, who liked to bake, and not be freezing, or fighting monsters, who…
Arias didn't realize that he had closed his eyes until he found himself opening them again—back in his snuggly, warm outfit. He breathed a sigh of relief, one arm just wrapped around his sister to make sure she was still okay and that some monster hadn't wandered off with her while he wasn't looking.
"You look tired," he said to the cat, hesitating. " Do you want me to carry you? It's not too far of a walk home. I owe you for helping my sister and I, so if it's dinner you want, no problem. I'm…gonna need some time to let this sink in. And I've got…a lot of questions."

Julienne nodded. “Then let’s go. It’s not safe to linger…I’ll give you as much information as I can, but…I do have to rest…thank you. And I want you to know that I am proud of both of you. This was not an easy thing to deal with, and you…” She gave a yawn and closed her eyes, resting against the ground. “I would appreciate if you would carry me. Awakening a senshi and using my laser renders me quite…useless, to say the least…though unfortunately it seems like that is always the case…so…on we go.”
She looked up at the two and sighed. “To become your normal selves again, just envision it…and you’ll become who you were…It’s as simple as that.”
The cat seemed absolutely out of it after that, eyes closed again. Being a cat sure seemed to be hard work.

Elvira watched, eagerly bouncing on the balls of her feet. When the instructions for changing back to Carlee were given, she made a face and did as Julienne had instructed, laughing as a moment later she was back in her girl scout uniform.
“It worked! Arias she was right! Oh wow, oh wow this is so cool!” She rushed over to the cat and picked her up, giving a grunt. The cat seemed to be almost as big as she was, and carrying her didn’t seem like it was going to be as easy as she first thought.
“Come on, brother. Let’s go home. I want to get the kitty all nice and warm. And you have to feed her okay? Mom won’t mind if you stay at home tonight…so let’s go!”

Returning to what he was wearing before had been easier than he thought it would have been, and he was certainly grateful that it wasn't as taxing as fighting a youma or as exhilarating as powering up had been. He watched Carlee lift the cat and almost interjected that he wouldn't mind carrying her if she was too heavy, though caught himself.
Julienne wasn't any ordinary cat, and he didn't want to offend her by challenging her weight. Instead, he just pat his sister on the shoulder. "I'll cook her lots," he promised. "Though, you know if I come home, mom's going to ask questions…"
Questions he wasn't sure he had the answer to--questions he wasn't sure she'd believe the answer to.
He didn't want to lie to his mother either, but…
"…But considering the situation, I'm sure I can make something up. I just want to make sure you get home all right, so let's hurry."
He kept his arm wrapped around his sister, exceptionally vigilant for the rest of the walk home. She might have been excited about all of this, but he still had his reservations—and as soon as Julienne was feeling better he was going to have to ask for her help to get to the bottom of this.
