The morning winds blew around the lush fern trees that had rested upon the mountain tops, causing dead grass tumbling down into the massive valley just below the Cat demon tribe as the sides of the cliffs nearby were stripped down to nothing but barren dirt.
A young man stood atop the mountain peak, shivering slightly as his blazed yellow eyes watched the small town, occasionally shifting towards the clouds rolling under him.
His black and purple robe swaying silently before he had crouched low to the ground, causing his shaggy black hair to lift from the winds in small clumps as one of his hands settled upon one of his dark boots, the other carelessly traced one of his facial markings with pointed claws as he had begun to ponder.
Something had caught his eye, and it was something that could have been a threat to the town, not that he would worry about it. He had known that there were Guards around, even if they didn’t seem to notice the creature themselves.
He scoffed angrily at just how clueless they were, and how they looked like sitting ducks waiting to be attacked.
His yellow eyes slowly focused on the deformed creature, but what had interested him was the fact that there was a person riding it.
A small smirk played on his lips as he had begun to think about sneaking up upon the intruder and he had decided to go for it.
It was effortless; the jump down was about two hundred feet, something that wouldn't even make him bat an eye. Although he wanted to make things more interesting for his own amusement as he rose once more, facing his back to the edge before his arms steadied out on each side before he had let himself backflip down. His knees drawing together as he had spun once before straightening.
One of his many talents was inaudibility; it was something he had used quite often as it was one of his most useful skills, the skill to be completely silent to whomever he chose. Today he had chosen to use it on these three, the two guards and the other…girl?
It was in mid fall that he could finally catch her scent and he almost wished he could have chosen a different approach, but then again that wasn’t like him.
A huge grin placed on his features before his feet made contact with one of the Guards’ helm, especially now that he had an audience.
The blow was too heavy for the man, and Acieo steadied himself expertly before bouncing off of him before the poor man had fallen from the concussion.
The other guard had then began to yell out in shock, but soon quieted as Acieo faced him with a causal inquisitive expression. “Yo.” He spoke, uncaring of what was about to happen.
His word was shot down as the Guard began to yell at him, something about assault for attacking a Guard.
Acieo took this opportunity to itch his right ear, since it had been bugging him almost the entire fall. It had only made the Guard even more upset before he had finally decided that a lecture was not the right was to deal with the young man, and it made it hard to arrest him due to his parents influence. After the Guard had chosen to ignore him and aid the other, Acieo finally turned his attention to the small girl who happened to be standing a few feet away, partly hidden in the foliage.
“Didn’t you have a companion?” He spoke softly as he took a few paces towards her sniffing at the surrounding air to pick up the black demons scent, but most of it had lingered away. His thought became all confused as he realised that it had taken her over here on a whim, he was astounded by this small girl more and more, and it was then that he had gave her a proper examination.
She. Was. Adorable.
He found himself backing up a few paces as his gaze trailed away, aimlessly looking into the woods as his face flustered. It was one of his major weaknesses, as he thought he just shouldn’t be around cute things in general. Whether it be kittens, bunnies, puppies, really anything small and pathetic. It just made him feel… well feel in general… He didn’t like it.
But he couldn’t just let her get away either, he had to question her more about the demon. He also knew if the Guards had found out about it then she might not have a chance at life in general. He was not really the big brother type but as much as he hated cute things, he was also drawn to them instinctively in one way or another.
After a pause and a clearing of his throat he had awkwardly gestured towards the entrance to the village.
“This way.” He muttered softly before he began to walk into the Cat Demon Tribe, leaving the Guards to get back to Guarding the entrance, after all, they did not see the young girl a threat.

Just as one of the guards was about to reply to her, a man with striking yellow eyes had landed himself upon the guard's head. Ami gasped out a bit, with wide eyes, taking a cautious step back as the guard fell back. She watched as the other guard proceeded to scold and shout at the mystery man. He had thick black hair and what appeared to be scars or tattoos of some kind on his face and neck. He nonchalantly scratched behind his ear, as if he could care less about the time and day, which easily angered the guard. Ami, who stood quietly and watched the strange spectacle before her, chose not to say or do anything. Perhaps she was still in shock of what had just happened. The confusion only continued when the man took one look at her and then looked away, frustrated.
She tilted her head, placing her hands over her chest a bit, furrowing her brows. He mentioned a "companion." Ami hoped he didn't catch a glimpse of the demon who helped her get here. It had its fair share of disturbances and she was willing to protect it from any harm to come its way. The last thing she wanted to do was have the child eater become some future target. She decided to stay quiet about it, only looking down at the ground for a moment. Then she looked up into his eyes, fiddling with her fingers, frowning cutely. Ami didn't mean to look cute, but with her age, her baby face was often subject to cheek pinching. She intended to look serious and stern. But seeing him look anywhere, even in the direction of the woods, but her eyes un eased her a bit.
However, when the man clad in purple beckoned her to follow him, she hesitated for a moment, even as he was already walking within the village. Ami's eyes trailed over to the guard who was still conscious, as he was tending to his fallen comrade. When they didn't seem to mind the fact she was invited in, she quickly caught up to the man, staying close behind him. It wasn't like she had any where to go. So, she had no choice but to follow this man. The pain in her wing was beginning to dull, thankfully...
"M...My name is Ami," she said, quietly, looking up at him, as she clutched onto her robes, "I...If it means anything...What you did back there was...Kinda cool, a-actually,"
She had to admit, not only did he come in with a silent entrance, but he brought down that guard no problem. He was obviously strong. And if Ami was to survive, she agreed that sticking with someone who knew what they were doing was the best way to go.

Acieo‘s yellow blazing eyes kept forward as he strode into the tribe, picking up the scent of the young half breed as she followed him through the hustle and bustle. There were many types of demons, and half demons walking around the shops; even the rare humans who had found peace amounts the creatures and who didn’t mind all the different kinds of demon foods that were placed out in the open for all to see.
The shop owners were nocturnal and when the noon came they would pack up and sleep.
The entire place was full of people, mostly cat demons, and it would be easy to get lost in this life if it weren’t for Acieo’s clashing personality of needing the space from others.
He hated crowds more than anything, even if he was the noble’s son of the Feonix tribe. All he had really cared about was just doing what he had wanted, free from his family’s bonds.
After a few paces before the busy area of the Village’s section he had slowly found his eyes gazing down at the young girl as she had begun to speak to him, telling him her name. He had responded with a slight nod, lowering his hand so that she could grab it.
“The name’s Acieo.” He had replied before he had faced upwards once more, scanning the area around him as his thoughts diverted a path for them to walk through the sea of people and he had slowly made his way towards the centre of the square.
“We need to get you somewhere safe, a meal would help as well.” His voice was smooth as he tried his best to sound reassuring to her, even if his demeanour wasn’t.
It was then that a wild Hippogryph echoed a loud squawk. From what Acieo heard it was in the centre of town, and it was charging right at the two. The beast was mostly white, speckled with grey, and it had the same blazing eyes Acieo had.
Acieo almost found himself smiling at the uproar of people who began to panic and shield others before they made a clear line in the crowd for it to run through, the line that Acieo and Ami just so happened to be standing in.
Quickly he had found his eyes move towards the girl as he had made a motion with his hand to get her to move out of the way as he shielded her with his own body, and with precise timing the Hippogryph slammed to a stop right before the two, bucking and screeching.

Current Location: Cat Demon Tribe. Mood: Confused. Course of Action Taking: Defending Ami What is expected of him?: Take her to his home.
Acieo narrowed his eyes at the beast as it pulled up onto its rear legs and thrashed at him with its talons. Even though Acieo knew better than to pick a fight with a full grown creature, this one was more of a teenager, and he had readied his knuckles before growling deeply in response to the threat. His gleaming canines showing monstrously in the faint daybreak as his golden eyes bloodied with a shimmering red.
The action was merely a rebel against the Hippogryph’s rebel, and it had caused the creature to put its talons back down on the ground and stare at him blankly before taking a few paces back before running through the crowd, flapping its wings hard to take off into the sky, flying past the treetops and heading for the mountain peak.
Acieo steadied his gaze as his eyes had shifted back to normal, watching the creature fly away before he looked back to the young girl who called herself Ami.
“Well, that was certainly interesting” His voice was rather cheerful before he turned his gaze away from her once more, his face began to flush once more as he gestured over through the crowd and pointed to a rather large building.
“This is where we will be heading to…My Father’s home.” He mumbled as the crowd began to once again go about their morning.

Rikuto heard the attack of the hippograph and heard the screeching of it dying down as he was eating his soup. Rikuto looked toward the direction of the attack place wondering what could be done the road to stop the attack. Rikuto had concerns but he did smell a half demon and something else, not demon, not half demon, not even human either. Something to Rikuto was strange about this smell he would later investigate it but for now he is eating. Rikuto places his bowl down and keeps looking toward the direction of the two scents hoping to see if he can catch a glimpse of them at the very site. Rikuto thought about the stuff that happened, so much has passed and yet Rikuto is a warrior, a strong one able to wield the power of lightning and he could put it to use to stop all the pain. Rikuto hopes to meet the half demon and hoping to relate since he has endured alot in his child hood becoming a warrior yet many people underestimate him which he always wants to prove them wrong that he can have great power and prove to be a outstanding warrior of the village.

So his name was Acieo. She nodded a little, saying the name in her head a few times to remember it. Today was proving to be a rather eventful day, considering this is the first time she's ever been into contact with another person. Her eyes drifted to the ground. She heard many voices of the villagers, but despite being in a crowd, her mind couldn't linger from the thought of her loneliness. She felt out of place and a touch of paranoid. What if she said or did something that was bad? She was only a child with no parents to really teach her. Luckily she was well past potty training, but she had no idea how to act with strangers or other demons. Maybe the man's awkwardness was normal? Ami noticed each time he looked at her he was flustered. Was that normal? She wouldn't know for sure, and for now, she wouldn't question it. When Acieo held his hand out to her, she snapped out of her thoughts and took it, instinctively. After all, when she looked up, she finally realized how much people there really was. It was easy for a little girl like her to get lost, especially if she wasn't paying attention.
A meal sounded wonderful. She placed her other hand over her stomach. Now that she was no longer running away from the child eater, she could finally pay attention to her belly, which was already straining and groaning for food. She drooled a little at all the different smells coming from the shops. Ami shook her head, trying to fight off the desire for food for just a little longer. But then, her eyes shot up, hearing the screech of a Hippogryph. Ami cried out in panic, not wasting a single second to hide behind Acieo, gripping onto him. She peeked out from behind the man to look at the creature up close. The mere sight of it brought out tears into her eyes. Her heart was already weak from the previous encounter she had, it was too much for a child to bare. Ami shut her eyes tightly, shaking behind Acieo.
Then,when she heard her protector growling fiercely back at the beast, her eyes snapped open and looked up at him. Her eyes gleamed as she looked up to him in reverence. The Hippogryph turned tail and flew away, just like that! Ami blinked her eyes and exhaled sharply, relaxing the beating in her chest. Acieo was amazing...
Ami quickly wiped her eyes, sniffling and nodding as she looked up ahead to the large building in the near distance. She smiled now, a bit more comfortable in his presence, "O-Ok, mister Acieo...!"
For a moment, Ami looked back toward the entrance of the village. She could have sworn she heard another presence, a demon particularly. But she noticed slight commotion with the guards, and assumed the situation would be handled. So, she followed Acieo, quietly to his father's house.

Acieo‘s golden yellow eyes shined brightly, reflecting the faint rays of daybreak. His black shaggy hair caught some of the morning breeze as his face betrayed a glimpse of a smile.
He had often watched this scene many times atop of the mountain, where he had been earlier before Ami had appeared and he had found his gaze gently resting on her small frame as she looked around and smelled all the strange new foods before gazing where his free hand had been pointing.
He had found his hand grasping hers protectively tighter as a few bystanders had passed them before he saw her turn to face him, agreeing with his plan.
Acieo sighed inwardly, relief overtaking him as he had allowed his eyes to blink slowly.
‘So far, so good.’
The thought struck him oddly as he wondered why he was even worried to begin with, it was strangely unlike him and he decided to put it off as an excuse to that he just wanted to know some answers. After all, it was bugging him all morning.
His eyes traced hers as she had suddenly turned towards the opening of the village and he could make out a faint sound of swordplay, although he had decided to ignore it for the time being. The Guards were highly capable.
Acieo had suddenly found his eyes widening in realization before he had turned his gaze away from the girl. It was so obvious. All he had to do was hire a local Guard, not only to keep an eye on her but to protect her as well, but it had to be someone a bit more simple minded with a good conscience.
He knew of one man who could fill that, although he only heard about him through word of mouth. Acieo would often wonder if they were exaggerating, but his eyes told otherwise when he had spotted the Cat guard sitting at a table in a noodle shop. He even seemed to be staring right at Acieo and Ami, making the Feonix slightly uneasy.
“Don’t look now but I think I may have a plan. Be good now.” He had begun to speak, muttering the first part more to himself then to Ami. Although none the less he had begun to shift through the crowd, heading towards the noodle shop.

Rikuto focused on the crowds, he drew a breath and sighed which he slowly returned to his soap but he quickly noticed the man coming through the crowd towards the shop after this man noticed him looking towards their direction. Rikuto then gets up, grabs his bowl, gives it to the shop keeper paying him for the soap and turns towards the man's direction. Rikuto then picks up his sword tossing it over his shoulder holding the sword handle watching the man walk up to him. Rikuto though did see the little girl and he smelled demon blood from her which he would then consider her one of his kin that so many other half demons are to him. Rikuto is willing to talk with demons as long as they come on friendly terms and are willing to not hurt any human. Rikuto has heard of this man but does not know why he has a half demon girl next to him at all times. Rikuto thinks of possible cases with it but not sure about if one these cases fit along with it. Rikuto thought about investigating this man later on but for now he waits for this man's arrival and reason.

A plan? What did he mean by that? Ami nodded to the man, hesitantly letting go of his hand as he walked through the crowd into a shop. A restaurant, by the looks of it. She fiddled with her robes a little, taking a chance to look around the place once more. Ami bit her lip and then a sigh escaped her lips. She was beginning to feel hungry again. But then she perked up a little, reminded that she had a gourd of water with her. She pulled out the small gourd from her sleeve and took a sip. It wasn't food, but it was better than having nothing in her stomach. Not to mention it was a little hot, waiting in the middle of the marketplace area of the Demon Cat Tribe. She looked up at the clouds, only to notice there weren't any. It was a clear sky, not too hot nor too cold. Her eyes glanced over to the horizon as the sun peeked around and she began to sway on the heels of her feet.
What could Acieo be doing in a noodle shop? Or, more importantly, who was he talking to? She didn't know the answers just yet, but soon, probably. At this moment in time, she didn't have any plans with her life. An orphan, tired and weary. Whatever the two men conversing within the shop intended for her, she would comply for the most part. Unless they planned to kill her and devour her. That wouldn't do. Ami pouted and put her water away. Other than that, though, she was wandering the world with no goal. No strings attached to her. No one. She wondered if that was going to change, now that she met Acieo. What direction was her life going now?

Acieo padded lightly towards the nearby guard, who had just happened to be keeping an eye on him as he approached. His golden yellow eyes steadied on the grown man’s face as the morning pools of light had begun to give him the illusion that they perhaps held a fire inside the very core.
He then smiled warily before taking a seat on one of the wooden mats outside, ordering two cups of noodles before his gaze shifted through the crowd and on to the young girl who stood awkwardly in the center. She hadn’t followed him? The thought confused the man greatly as he knew how much he had hated crowds before it dawned on him that maybe she did.
“Ami?!” His voice seemed to bark sharply, and he hoped that she may hear it; before he turned back to the guard awkwardly.
“Hello there, I was wondering if you may be up for hire.” He had begun, his voice sounding cheerful before he shifted his arm in the direction.
“She’s a good kid, but I doubt she would last long by herself.” Acieo motioned towards the girl before he had picked up his bowl of noodles, sipping on the warm broth.

Hearing Acieo call for her, she perked up a bit. Feeling rather stupid she quickly followed the man into the shop. Ami wasn't used to this at all! -- It almost felt like she was told to stay outside, so that is what she did. Though, it was probably because she was so naïve and awkward that she needed to be guarded in the first place. She quickly came to his call, sitting beside him and bowing her head, over and over, "I-I'm sorry, mister Acieo! I-I spaced out...!"
The man seemed to forgive and dismiss her lapse of comprehension as he then re-directed his attention to a guard. Or what appeared to be a guard.
"She’s a good kid, but I doubt she would last long by herself"
Ami's eyes moved from Acieo over to the man he was referring to. He had long red hair and darker skin than them both. He looked to be the silent type, as much as she could guess. To make up for her previous blunder, she bowed her head politely to the man as her eyes began to shake and shine, "H...Hello...My name is Ami," she said, quietly and hesitantly.
