"Mmm," nodded Finn. He saw how things worked around here - Lucas seemed like the loudest sibling, so naturally he ruled the roost. Finn was grateful he didn't have any brothers, or he bet he'd have wound up in a situation similar to Andrea's. "But the cool Disney stuff is awesome. Lucas is missing out." If he was going to take sides here, he was going to side with Gabby, because he couldn't bring himself to be that a*****e friend of her older brother who would just tread on her some more.

"Well, it's sort of hard to say how big the puppies were, because they were always growing! But sled dogs, you know, they're not huge dogs. They're about the size of a husky you'd see walking around in Destiny City, just kinda rougher looking." Which was, maybe, sort of on the big side. Depended what kind of dogs you were used to.

"We'd run five dogs at once," Finn answered, planning to keep talking until football started, since that would probably settle Lucas down. With the American Foxhound announced as best-in-show, that would happen any moment now - and there it was. Finn glanced over at Andrea.

"Y'know," he said, "I don't think your brother and I root for any of the same teams, and I don't want to barge in and make him find a different game. Why don't you show me around? Give me the grand tour or something like that?"

Which, hopefully, did not broadcast I am going to kiss you so hard, seriously, there will be tongue to anyone listening who wasn't Andrea.

The grand tour was thorough in that it covered all the major rooms of the house, but thankfully short. Finn could tell - or thought he could tell - that Andrea really just wanted to get him alone. Finn had deduced that the room they were actually going into was his boyfriend's before Andrea actually announced it just from process of elimination. Besides, it looked pretty much how he'd expect Andrea's room to look - neat, well-organized, with some photographs pinned to the walls for personal flare.

Finn slipped into Andrea's embrace, resting his hands against the small of his back. "You went and got taller than me," he said. It was only an inch or two, nothing that could really be called a height difference worth noting. But it was enough that when he went in for a kiss, Finn had to tilt his head up and hope Andrea met him in the middle.

"I like that," he added, and if he'd done this right he was speaking against Andrea's lips. Not that this was like, at attempted seduction or anything like that - too risky, when you were either above the kitchen or above the living room and had no idea how thick the floors were. All Finn was hoping for was some serious tongue.

He shifted one of his hands to brush his thumb against Andrea's jaw. "Of all the things in Destiny City that I missed," confessed Finn, "I think I missed you the most. I'm sorry for running off like I did. I wouldn't have blamed you if you'd broken up with me for pulling s**t like that."

"Gone on and been Destiny City's most eligible bachelor, probably," answered Finn, laughing a bit. He would have completely understood if Andrea had decided the distance was too much and broken up with him - Skype calls could only replace so much. "Magical boys throwing themselves at you left and right."

All he really wanted to do was kiss and make up for lost time, so Andrea pulling away was met with an unhappy groan before Finn actually bothered to consider the question. "I'll at least be here through sometime in mid-January," he said. "That's all of Winter break. I'm working on a bit of a situation with one of my friends. She was corrupted, and I need to sort out what I can do about it. Probably nothing. It's a sob story, I won't ruin Thanksgiving with it."

Because while he was sure that Avalon's fall would not make Andrea horrifically sad on a personal level, it would sure have that effect on Finn.

"Longer than that, I don't know. I'm sort of playing it by ear," he shrugged, slipping a hand into one of the back pockets of Andrea's jeans and pulling him a little bit closer. "But I'd hate to waste any time no matter what happens." (So, it can probably be concluded that what followed was Serious Tongue.)
