There was nothing left to do but stand there, remembering that just minutes ago, the only person he ever loved had been shredded apart in the most violent way possible right before his eyes. Alistair would have to remember that the last time he would ever see her was now, as a large pool of deep red blood, the occasional bone or charred flesh from the Meteor Mash. But as the pool of blood ran to his feet, he knelt down to the ground. He saw only his vague reflection in the pool of blood and seemingly floating Cyan orbs. These eyes that she loved so much... these were the ones that put her through more pain than she needed.
Perhaps the most ironic thing was that he thought he was helping her get stronger. There was no one to guide him after his death. No one that understood. There were several people that told him to forget about his death. It was in the past. But death just wasn't in his past. It would be his future. Everyones future. Alistair ended up just making things more difficult for the crimson haired woman. She came to him, even when she supposedly forgot about him. Unconsciously, she drifted to him because she trusted him. He failed her. Falling forward to land on his hands to hover above to pool of blood on all fours, almost as if he had given up, Alistair continued to stare deep into the basinless pool. He could stay here, forever, waiting for her blood to calcify into the ground beneath it. He could atone for what he did, staying with her forever. Stay here until the blood in his skin turned to stone from the odd process of blood dehydration. But even Red would call him weak for pussying out. It was not in Red's nature to hold the man back. If anything, this was a gift, knowing that there was still a creature here to kill.
And so, like a rabid, feral dog, the man began to consume the blood in the only way possible right now. By licking it off of the ground. Luckily, no one was around to see this. Each time he picked up some of the blood with his tongue, energy was being restored. He was literally consuming the life energy left in the blood. When the hunger subsided, he ceased the feral act and stood up. His gaze fell directly on the door at the top of the stairs. In one swift movement, the man leaped from the ground he stood on and landed just a couple of feet from the door. Normally, he would tell himself to walk away. To let the content of the door remain behind the door. But he had lost a great many things this day. So, with nothing to lose, the man opened the door.

Everything ended: the sound, the fight, the riotous resituation of the room. All that remained was the Exposition...
Darkness, deep, far, encompassing and consuming. The door stood open and silence resonated from the pitch room. The only sound as Alistair's thundering pulse and breath that came from flaring nostrils. This was it, the final room. His very own office, he could venture in and find the same decor, though all of it strangely morbid and warped. He could smell death, sitting, watching, like a harbinger set on high. Shadows moved about, their parasitic abnormalities sluicing from the walls, corners and cracks.
Then he could feel it, a steady hum trickling down and reverberated throughout the entirety of the room. Once he entered, the door slammed shut, trapping him in. The hum grew, a cadence of laughter echoing from one side of the room to the other. The dark being was still toying with the hybrid now, he was nothing more than a pawn on a checkered board. Herod's roaring voice filled the room like behemoth's bellow, in that moment the rest of the room froze and time halted, if it ever occurred to the immortal. Through the roaring chortle, Alistair could feel himself move, the tile to which he stood upon shifted slowly as air hissed, groaning as it glided from one side of the room to the middle. Still, Herod did not show himself, he wanted to see what his newest piece of the collection would do. How hard could he pull the strings before the puppet broke free?

Alistair wasn't surprised to see a replica of his office. Nothing could surprise him anymore. His soul was broken. Fragmented. It was his fault, though. He was the one who fooled himself into thinking that his relationship with Red was really nothing. So he chastised her at every turn. Pretending not to notice or care when ever he stole a glance. He never expected her death to have such a toll on his mind. He wasn't even allowed one last time to taste her lips. Not that he deserved it. All he deserved was a slow torment in which he heard every insult he gave to Red while she screamed while being torn apart. The event was on a never ending loop in his mind. And when the ground beneath him moved him to the vented of the warped version of his office, he didn't panic. Instead, a crooked grin formed on his face.
"... Do you honestly think you can still hurt me? I welcome the chance. I'd pay to see the day that someone may finally catch me and show me off..." he suddenly glanced down at his attire. His shirt was littered with holes from the obsidian spears and stained with blood. He quickly peeled the shirt off of his body, tossing it aside. He stood tall, half naked, waiting to see if this creature would finally show itself. Alistair, however, didn't simply stand there. He began building a flame inside of his body, preparing for whatever was coming next.

"Why are you avoiding my gaze? I can assure you that harm will not come from looking at them, it is merely a sign of respect."
"Eyes are the window to the soul, from what I have been told," she gazed upward from under the curtain of jet lashes.
"When we first met, it was obvious that you were entranced by my eyes. Do me one last favor. Look into them one last time."
Shadows whispered, responding to his bravado. Any sense of clarity was left abandoned amongst hope, they were brittle humanly guises and easily preyed upon. His dead eyes bored into the hybrid, reading him as best he could. Once he became part of the collection he could leave as easily as he came. That was the beauty of his home: his intelligent children could come and go as they pleased. While he had Alistair ensnared in a maddening maze, there was much sowing to be done. He'd plant Alistair, giving root to deceit and hoping that only more death bloomed.
The ground around the hybrid's feet began to grow soft, black and white blobs of tile swirled, pulling him down into its rich folds. It puckered, a sickly plasmid morphing under weight to trap this lovely creation. Herod's jaw slacked, dropping down until it ventured far past the extension of normal, it was a large gaping maw, a void awaiting the two gathering orbs of energy that were held in his hands. They whirled, dark energy hushed as currents pulled to the polar points in his palms. Then he took them, devouring both in a single gulp.
Steadily from every pore, more shadows birthed into existence from a bastardized womb. They seeped like large cysts, oozing from the orifice. They cried out, screeching for air, blood-lusting for what they lacked. Then they launched, springing from their home as he joined into a thunderous howl. The sounds continuously ricocheting from one wall of the office, to the other, their reverb just as mighty as the original. So loud in fact that the very foundation quaked, trembling at the horrors being released.
The shadows descended upon him swiftly, ravenous claws extended, pitch jagged, jutting teeth, all aching for bittersweet flesh.
Earth Sinking Rank A Requirements : Master Rank Description: More advanced users can forcibly sink their opponents into the ground, imprisoning them or even suffocating them in earth.
• Eternal Darkness S This is the most powerful of all shadow spells. In the palm of your hands, you will prepare two balls of shadow. The next step is simple. By devouring them both, which doesn't take long, you emulate them into your being. You may then cast this spell. The Eternal Darkness is a tidal wave of horrors. It starts by screeching very loudly, a blood red appearing in the air. Then, out of your body, hundreds of shadows launch at the foe, all screeching with you. The surrounding area will quake and tremor, and you will be smashed and slashed with the force of these hundreds of shadows. The range of these shadows is essentially as far as the vampire can accurately detect. Because of the fact that they're divided into many, most spells (unless large area spells of the same rank or higher) will not be able to clear them. Essentially, this means it is better to escape. Since the spell is S ranked, you cannot simply block them with any simple maneuver. Anyone who is met with the fate of being striked by these shadows will clearly note that they've likely been gashed, dismembered or cut to pieces, depending on the amount. Each shadow will cut deeply. Enough, really, to bring the danger of going unconscious.

As soon as the ground beneath his feet began to soften, the light footed ninja stepped off, disappearing from view entirely. He knew what this creature planned on doing. The two shadow orbs gave it away completely. Just a few seconds later, Alistair appeared several feet left of his last position, only to disappear again, forcing the oncoming onslaught of shadows to grow more and more confused as they searched for the illusive man. A few seconds later, the man appeared once again, this time, much closer to the large gaping mouth of the beast, only to vanish. Each time he vanished, appearing in seemingly random locations, he grew more nimble as he evaded each and every shadow in his attempt to close the distance between the two of them. In just four steps, which was all he needed, Alistair had gotten close enough to attempt a strike from the blind spot of the beast to it's right. As soon as he reappeared, he drew out his kodachi and, after a reassuring surge of lightning ran through the blade, he quickly slashed at the beast. Without warning, lightning shot up from the ground in a long verticle line, attempting to hit anything within it's line. Capable of cutting through a solid wall of concrete, it was doubtful that the beast could find a way to defend against the attack, even if it did know where Alistair was at that moment.
(Flashing Rank: B Requires: Vanishing, wall run Description: This is one of the more direct attacks of the ninja. My running at the target in zigzags you disappear and reappear four times before you appear a final time for your attack. The final appearance can be used in conjunction with Vanishing slash to make sure you can try again.
Lightning Edge Rank: S Description: The one and only skill of the ninja that can attract lots of attention and does not give them any means of escaping. Unlike the fire attacks which create smoke or the ice attack that freezes the enemy in the right time this skill is made to end battles. Lightning is generated in the blade of the ninja. The ninja wont need to get too near to use this only the distance of five meters and he or she will slash. The slash is oddly from the ground up, the slash releases a small blade of lightning as thick as the katana and this is capable of cutting clean through a wall. After this lightning will crash down from the sky decimating the entire line made.)

The screeching ululation of anger from the shadows as each one missed was almost ear shattering, they dive bombed the empty air, finding nothing to rip apart. Again though, they'd swarm like hungry wolves to the slaughter. Even as the hybrid evaded them, it wouldn't last long. He had finally stopped near the master and from there they all bobbed together,, wriggling malicious things, driving right to him. Herod on the other hand, felt the presence but did not except the arc of light to erupt from the pitch ground at him. In dismay he roared, the splintering pain overwhelmed his nerves across his right bicep. It traveled, spasms twitching the ghostly remains but he was also quick. Herod rode high on his wave of earth, each tile lifting and contouring under his feet. He would move to the opposite side, suspending himself in a low crouch above the entrance door.
In bloody rage he sent the wave back at the hybrid, its size almost encompassing the span of the wall, aiming to crush Alistair against his bedroom door. His prowling shadows still continued to fight also, how long could one hide?
Earth Wave Rank S Requirements: Earth Line and Earth Wall Description: create a wave of earth that they ride on and use as a form of transportation. Alternatively this wave of earth may also be use to slam into people.
Rock Hanging Rank D Description: By minor manipulation of magnetic fields you are able to stick onto the surface of rocks and any earth material. These things are rocks, concrete, crystals and metal. Per post of hanging is 10 energy.

As the wave of shadows became aware of Alistair's presence and redirected themselves to attack him, Alistair reacted quickly, forming 5 mirror images of himself all around him. He allowed the shadows to come close, but the closer they came, the easier it became to meld into the shadows of the mirror images. Once the wave overcame the mirror images, hacking and slashing at everything they could, the images burst into a thick mist, clouding all of the shadows line of sight, along with Herod's. Alistair, however, merely used this time in order to move around the plentiful shadows cast by the blood seeking Shadows. When he finally reached the wall he'd eventually be slammed into, the man suddenly jumped up, and kicked the wall. As soon as his foot made contact with the wall, it seemed as if it was glued to the surface, allowing Alistair to run up the wall of his warped office and onto the ceiling in order to ensure that he would be safe from the earth wave. But the shadows wouldn't be safe. Herod had practically sentenced his own shadows to death.
Alistair continued on with his attack, compressing flames in his right arm and shooting a brief flame over Herod's head. The flame itself did nothing, or it appeared like it hadn't. But just as Alistair finished shooting out the brief flame, the flames he had compressed in his right hand had finished. When he opened his palm, there was a tightly condensed marble sized ball of flames. He then tossed it at the huge beast of shadows, attempting to end it with this. After travelling a few feet, as if almost on cue, a single flying rock from the crashing earth wave got in it's way, forcing the unstable ball of flames to expand to it's actual size: a boulder sized fireball. It headed straight for the beast, attempting to burn everything in it's path.
(Mirror Image Rank: C Requires: Vanishing Description: After enough mastery of the previous skill the ninja is actually capable of maintaining the Mirror Image. He or she may use up to five images to attack the enemy, though purely for distraction purposes they disperse into mist when attacked. The mist created from these things are quite thick and can actually block the line of sight creating a much better opportunity to attack.
Shadow Meld Rank: D
Wall Run Rank: C Requires: Adept rank Description: A passive ability. This is when the ninja gains their speed. After speed training which is basically attaching several weights on yourself and running for three days straight you are capable now of moving at speeds where running up and along side walls are easy.
Hephaestus's Rage | Rank A Linking to Greek Mythology, this skill was named after the Greek god of fire: Hephaestus. The user will compress their fire until the point that a small marble could have the power of a enormous fireball. As the user holds the small ball in their hand, they will toss it at the opponent and once it makes contact with anything solid, it will expand into its true size and burn anything in its path. It will melt A Ranked metals completely, but will make S ranked metals extremely hot that one strike will break it.
Meteor Shower | Rank A The user will put raise their palms to the air and will begin to shoot out small burst of their pure fire. It will seem as if nothing happened until the next post. The fire will come down in a rain of heavenly fire that will rain down on every inch around the user. Has a radius of 10 feet. (Meteor prerequisite.)

The vampiric shadow continued to let out awful howls, the lightning continuously ricocheting at what was left of a nervous system. Giving off faint pulses in the dark, no matter where he moved, it was still there as a huge flashing beacon. Again the hybrid moved at hurried speeds, dashing from one spot to the other and even dignifying over the wave of earth. The shadows were slammed, squished and returned to the sluicing plasma they had once been before. Herod's attention snapped back to the beast before him, he wasn't finished though. Again he sent earth lines to jut from the ground and ceiling, hoping to crucify it. Though it was to no avail, Alistair maneuvered with feral grace. Nibbling diverting the spires and sent a bright, vibrant inferno at Herod. There was no shadow, no crack to hide in. In the most bloodcurdling scream, he dispersed into a spray of ash. It was hard to tell if this killed the monster, but for the time being, it seemed as such.
The rock wall crumbled, debris shattering against the floor and gave way to a door. Normally it was to his bedroom; however, as it swung open, blinding white light filtered in. All of the muck and darkness disappeared and the cave returned to normal. Alistair would see falling snowflakes wafting in innocently. If he chose to look out the other door, there would be nothing. No blood, no spears, just simple rocks. Though the smell of lingering ichor remained. If he chose to walk outside, he was finally free. His test complete and one step closer to mending the city.

With the destruction of the beast, Alistair let himself fall, correcting himself mid fall. He landed on his feet with a soft thud, then proceeded to stand up straight. The man didn't feel any different than when he began the fight. He didn't feel any self satisfaction after defeating Herod. He wasn't even sure what he meant to do by coming here. To prove himself? For what? For who? The toll it had on his mind made it nearly impossible for him to think about what happened earlier. Losing Red, watching her die... he couldn't even think. His mind was clouded, despite Herod being gone. What he needed was distance from this place. Distance would do the man some good. He followed the blinding light at the far end of the room... the door that normally would lead to his bedroom. Stepping into the blinding light, Alistair was prepared for anything.

The cold air around him, was what kept the Diablous on his feet and focused on what was ahead. The woman before him was simply his guide for now, nothing more nothing less. Demacus knew that he was different from all those that had been around him, not in the way of skin or blood but something more. The aura they had all given off was something that Dem had felt like he was missing something that the others had. The dark blood that flowed through his veins started to burn hotter as his mind started wander into the catacombs of voices that laid in his head. They will never know who we are... We have to become stronger than them. We have to destroy that man who you call teacher! Show them you are better than all of them! Deep in his head, only the sound of his 'name' had taken him out of the coma like state for a moment. Glancing up faintly towards the woman, he would offer a faint hum in response. "....Hmmm" It was there to show that he was still there and was paying some form of attention to her now. His gauntlets quietly shifted to the straps and plates on each quietly tightening them more as he would wait for her to finish speaking to him. It would not seem to matter, she was lost in her own little world it would have seemed, both of them thinking of things.
The enviroment around them would begin to chill as the sight of a frozen lake came into view. The faceplate had moved to side to side as he toke in the area around him. It had been tainted by dark energy, more than many would have noticed... even some of his own. Where darkness seemed to lead to, the cold. The bitter cold where all darkness had wrapped around you and never to let you go... not here...never would the darkness let you go. He could replay the who day within his head as he was reborn near this spot... The only real warmth he had felt was the fire that burned over his skin and the aura that would come from his flesh. Something had echoed in the back of his mind, something that he had never seen before or atleast not in this body. A warming light that filled the sky above him... Sudden the voice had echoed to him and he had stopped himself in his tracks only to take in what she said. The image of a dark corridor had seemed to fill in where they were now and it seems. Why would she want to remove his armor? The gleam of curoisty would seem to glow from both their eyes as he started to place his gauntlets on each side. Slowly removing the helm, the cloth behind it would soon only show the blacken aura around his head, placing the helm under his right arm, he pulled over a hood to cover his head and allow the shadows to condense around the front of the hood. Only strands of hair would be able to seen faintly The Voice of Demacus

All this place was to Demacus was a tomb, a place where the dead were held. He would not need to keep moving very far to realize this. Coming towards a large sarcophagus he would watch the embers twirl around the finger tips of the woman. She appear to be looking around for something until she turned back to him once more with word about some kind of cult...whatever a cult was. Demacus would only offer a small nod of his cowl before starting to break off from her back look around him self. The walls had seemed to hold lanterns that died much too long ago, only with his right gauntlet to grasp the side of it softly. Demacus was not truly curious about the woman, it would not take some of higher intelligence to tell that she was using something hide away something about her body. Dem used his deception the same way she used whatever she was, to hide what no one wished to see, so he could easily see minor illusions such at that. She would only go to speak about something called religion and how she did not believe in it. Demacus would offer a glance back to her as he simply waited for her to finish with the question she asked. Did he believe in a god? No...He believed in THE goddess, all others were beins who had wished to copy is maker. His voice would echo softly as he went down the hallway with her, only laceing the veins that went across the walls. "...Goddess. Nocturnal..." . The Voice of Demacus

It honestly did not bother him too much but he would keep his attention to the area before him. Everything had started to grow in energy, you could feel something strange in the area... his blood seemed to ignite once more as he started to hear small voices in the distance. This had only been reinforced by the woman before him as they descend even further into the tomb. The voice only became louder and louder until they had exited the hall onto some form of ledge. Nothing was need to be said as he quietly walked towards the edge and began to kneel to get a better look at the beings that had stood at the bottom of the grounds. His cowl would only shift from side to side as he toke in the environment around him, knowing that a straight drop would kill him or hurt him if he did not land it right. There had been to pillars to his side that one had gave into the other allowing him a way to at least skid down towards the ground. The other path before him would be a series of pillars that could lead him straight towards them and he could jump down on them. Either one would give him a way to get over there...
Demacus would only glance to the side to see the look he was getting from the woman. Like they both knew, words were not needed at this point. They were here to hunt, and that was the chosen prey. Checking if all his gear was only tightly he started over to the left and looked over the distance. He would not need a head start with the strength he had in his legs. Bending his knees he would launch off the ledge with his gauntlets out before him. Swinging his feet infront of him and his right gauntlet making contact with the top edge of the standing pillar, he used the balls of his feet to make contact with the pillar more quite if he had hugged it instead. His armor had made little sound so far, which had been a nice treat as he started to dig his claws slowly into the side of the pillar. Inching himself down with gauntlets clawing downwards and his feet positioning themselves to help him keep stable the diablous had reached the second pillar. Releasing his gauntlets slowly he would slide down on the pillar with his feet balancing him, skidding down to the tip. Reaching the edge, Demacus had hopped faintly to gain some distance before landing once more and rolling across the ground. He would roll behind one of the ruined pillars and firmly place his back against it. He would only wait a moment to listen in on the group before him. They were still chanting from what he could pick up and atleast he would be able to make his way up there with less work. Glancing only a few inches from behind the pillar, Demacus had closed the distance between him and the the group to a solid twenty five feet. Keeping an eye on the group he would start his advance once more. Weaving in out of the ruins of pillars that once stood he had picked out his target from the group. It was the larger of the group, fat and round, ohhh how the being would make a meal. Now only ten feet out, he would slowly draw his longsword into his left hand and his right hand quietly grasping his shield. How would he die? A sword through his skull? The removal of his arms and than his heart? Or maybe he would go slowly to watch the others die first before he came back to him... Oooooh the smile would shine faintly through the shadows that hid his face as he closed in. While they chanted, they would hear the quick scream of the fattest, as Demacus would launch his tail straight for the spinal column and would ram it out of the being's mouth with his pierced heart slowly beating to a stop if the strike had hit home. Only the diablous behind him would be seen, his toothy smile shining in the dark. The Voice of Demacus
