Shadow Lord Kyouya *soft chuckle* The guild will take donations if you want to give them, but right now we're fairly flush. It's 2500 gold per forum, and 2x the number of members whenever someone posts an announcement, so maintaining the guild is fairly inexpensive. Gotcha! I figured the guild was covered, just wanted to ask where donations should go, 'cause I know if everyone donates to directly the guild it'll end up with more gold than you can use since guild funds stay in the guild (so it can't be used it for contests and what not). We'll only need so many subforums and the announcement fee is negligible.
Also, I am cool with The Green Room for OOC too. :U Maybe we'll need a poll to decide on something.
I like the idea of in-character texts/emails/messaging; it's most beneficial for Kyouya to have it, of course. :U And I like Renge's idea for the solo-host subforums (could be combined with IC messaging, like keep a thread in there for that purpose. EVERYONE SEND MORI KITTEN AND PUPPY PICS OK)

Shadow Lord Kyouya Given that we're doing dinner theater, how about The Green Room? Okay I was kind of a theater nerd ... Tanja suggests "Who's Line is it Anyways?" *is having gigglefits*

Shadow Lord Kyouya Asakura Yukino That'd be good. I actually kinda got a slight idea. It worked in an old guild a long time ago. There was a 'special request' set up. Basically each host had their own little subforum in the guild, if you wanted to do a solo roleplay with a particular host, you just went to their forum, made a thread, and the host would jump between each of the requests. *nodsnods* That is a good idea. It doesn't obviate the need for the Mind Theater, but it does keep things more organized. I like it. If we were to do that, I'd need people to let me know what they'd like their subforums called ... I also definitely like this idea!

Ah! Time to play catchup.
I think perhaps the OOC would be best as main because it is used less often. It should keep the main clean. (Besides if it is a 'lobby' or 'lounge', it makes more sense).
Moe Moe would definitely benefit from multiple threads! Each thread could be a 'section' of the magazine~
The Notebook could also have multiple threads... Profiles, IC text messages, photos, and emails. Yus 3nodding
I adore the idea of personal request threads! Though those threads should probably go in their own subforum too x.x
...*loves to organize*

Now that I think about it, I agree that the OOC should be the main forum. It doesn't get cluttered as easily, which means that notices and general information posts will be the first thing people see and therefore less likely to be missed wink
I'm a little bit hesitant about things like IC text messages being put somewhere that everyone can see, though. On the one hand it can be a nice peek into what people are up to, but on the other some of that stuff is sent in PMs because the point is that it's private. Does anyone else feel this way?

I can see your point. *looks thoughtful* Of course, there's nothing that says you can't send PMs as well. Hm. Something to consider. If we are inclined to make the main forum the OOC forum -- which upon consideration I think is not a bad idea -- I am also inclined to call it the Lounge. That word can be interpreted as either an IC place or an OOC place, and thus makes it a little less jarring, in my mind, when you come into the guild.

For me, the Mind Theater is a place for on campus but out of the club room scenes. But we have the off campus scenes (like sleepovers, house visits, dates, dinners, etc.) That to me don't seem to fit but are still side story. I think it would be great to have a subforum for the side story stuff that doesn't exactly need to be read but can be enjoyed by others.

I do see the point with this but it would be a good idea. I mean, it breaks down the fourth wall and allows the writer's a glimpse inside the other characters minds so boundaries aren't overstepped and there aren't major hurt feelings (like the Hikaru/Panda/Shiemi thing from the old thread for example) but it will also be clear that those moments are private and even if I'm reading it Strawberry still has no clue. But this is just my opinion. I'm just one of those people who likes to know what's going on all the way around so I'm not stepping on toes or crumpling plans. Or gets hit with one of the left field plot explosions (like effing Harry/Ginny romance!!! Jsbegkihshdjke ******** Rowling).

May I suggest that for the Dressing Room subforum, you put "Hosts only" after it in parenthesis or somethign? It's the one listed at the top, and if a non-host clicks on it, it presents a rather jarring and unfriendly message about "not authorized." It's not at all clear from the name that it's Hosts-only. smile

Truly meant-to-be-private messages can be sent through PMs, of course, and I like being able to peek in (and let others peek) past the fourth wall a bit. It also gives more opportunity for little bits of character interaction, I think.keshwyn May I suggest that for the Dressing Room subforum, you put "Hosts only" after it in parenthesis or somethign? Club policy has always been that we never allow guests into the dressing room. (Yes, I know, it gets violated on occasion.) But you're right. I'll go add that.
