"Ah.... What happened to us was a rather big mess..." They were lucky they managed to heal themselves as friends. "You are right. If I lie to myself and her for too long, it will only become messy."
Mot sighed and buried his face in his hands, hunching over with a groan. "Must it be so hard?"

“Ya.” As Mot hunched over, Hel scooted once again, this time behind the reaper and just flopped her torso onto his back, and slung her arms over his shoulders and rested her head against his. “Ya…it will always be hard when it comes to matters of the heart.” She chuckled a bit. “Let us just be honest. It will hurt, and it does ******** suck…though the sooner it is done, the less hurt there will be…” She trailed off for a moment.
“Plus…if it was easy…I do not think it would be worth it.”

"Mm.. you're right." Mot murmured, somehow comforted by Hel's weight on his back, although it was soon disrupted when he was reminded her bosom was fairly obviously pressed against him. That wasn't exactly something Hel could help.
"Thank you, Hel. You always help keep me focused." Lost in his own thoughts, he'd been simply chasing his own tail for long months, running in circles within his mind.
He tried bringing himself up again. "So you're leaving, huh? Gosh.. how lonely." he chuckled nervously. "I should really try and focus on getting myself graduated after I talk with Gene."

Don’t tell Hel she’s right too much…her head will get all inflated and stuff. Well…it probably would anyways…Oh well.
“Not a problem! Anytime for you, Mot, ha! Me keeping you focused…that is something…but eh, it is what friends are for!” She beamed, though he couldn’t see it. Plus, Mot was just as much a helper to her as she was to him, so…really. Oh…wait…this subject that now came up wasn’t exactly something Hel wanted to talk about.
“Oh…ya…” She blinked. Yikes, Mot hit the nail on the head with the ‘lonely’ statement, even if he was referring to himself at the time. “I would have been gone by now, but ah…my cottage is still being built and will not be ready for moving in until the end of the last October so…camping out in a tent with the colder Octobers settling in seemed stupid when I could just hang around here for a bit longer, ya?” She paused. “Lonely…you will not be lonely, Mot!” She encouraged. “You have a lot of friends and you are someone others like to gravitate towards!”

"Truly? Even though I've been terribly absent? I feel like such a bad friend. Others must have moved on by now." Ah, such negative thoughts. Mot shook his head, trying not to drown in them. "I neglected my responsibilities, such as running the RA movement. I've not done much to further my studies as a Bogeyman, either. Gosh.... Shun, Mitsu, Xiu.. so many people that now must feel like strangers to me. I should make myself remedy the situation." He nodded softly, the endeavour seemingly a task too great. One step at a time, he told himself mentally, a** he tried to focus on too many goals at once.
"A cottage. Just like you wanted, yes? Ah, I'd love to see it once it's complete!" Mot gleamed happily. "Hmmm.. what sort of place will I find myself after I leave too..."

“YA! TRULY!” Hel cried. “Jeepers, Mot! Just because you disappear for a bit does not mean your friends stop caring, and if they do, they are a bunch of ******** assholes you do not need as friends then ANYWAYS!” Hel should remember that she was pretty much exclaiming loudly in Mot’s ear.
“Ah, it happens! Creeple fall of their paths, but the most important thing is that you get back to it…unless you are blazing a new trail for yourself, then by all means, leave your path! Ah, ya! The cottage I have wanted for a very long time…YA, OF COURSE!” She nudged Mot with a hand in his side. “You better come and visit me A LOT!” She paused. “Ya…maybe an apartment in Halloween Town…or maybe in a city where there are Boogeyman head quarters?” She offered.

"Ow!" Mot frowned, refraining from covering his ears out of respect and an obligation not to be rude. Still, her loud voice so close to his ears was alarming.
"I will! Many visits, to be sure!" He insisted, laughing lightly. "Mm.. yes. I'm accustomed to cities. It makes sense." Mot made a noise of surprise, and eased Hel off his back.
"Hel, I've made many things these last few months. I'd like for you to take a look. I've even made you a thing or two. They were experiments I made with you in mind. Come to my room. The fumes in here are giving my a rather terrible headache." Like those long days he'd been varnishing the War Table for Amrita.

“All the visits.” Hel affirmed with a serious nod, and a lighter nod once Mot said something about cities. Yeaaah…he was a city boil. Remembering how he was when she took him back to her home for Sif’s wedding also reaffirmed that. “…Huh?” She stopped musing just in time to catch the gist of what the boil was saying.
“Uh, okay!” She replied, blinking curiously, and started to feel excited at the thought that Mot made her some things. The ghoul slid off of the boil’s back and then leapt to her feet. She offered a dark hand to him. “Alright!”

The Grim smiled and let Hel help him up, heading back to his own room. After quickly unlocking his door, the room was unveiled to Hel. It smelled strongly of sawdust and freshly cut wood. Many projects finished or not lay on desks and tables. Wind chimes, puppets, decorative wall pieces.
Mot jogged over to a shelf, where many finished pieces sat neatly presented. After some looking around, Mot took down two objects. One presented to Hel was a wooden raven, varnished in a dark stain. The second was a shawl, embroidered with bright orange thread on a black material. It was thick and warm. The embroidery depicted a mural of symbols along it's edges; ravens, wings and weapons interlocking seamlessly.
"To keep you warm, since you dress so lightly. And the sculpture could help spruce up that cottage of yours."

The ghoul leapt across the hall after Mot and into his room, and easily noticed just how busy the boil had been. Woah. Yeah…she hadn’t been in Mot’s room in a while, and look at all the stuff he did! Holy crow! The ghoul skittered after the boil, right behind him, and then paused and waited, her lips pulling up into an excited smile as she waited.
Gosh, she was so excited! Words couldn’t express how much Hel loved hand made things from others, and what Mot handed her didn’t disappoint. No, actually, the items Mot handed her rendered the ghoul speechless and wiped the smile from her face. She stared down at the wooden raven in one hand, varnished with dark colors, and then at the shawl with its intricate embroidering that Mot was so damn good at…
She stared down at the items, before she finally lifted her eyed, wide eyed and her mouth hanging open.
Finally she regained the motor skills needed to speak.
“Mot…” Her voice sounded a bit choked up. “…I love them!” She then leapt at the reaper, throwing herself at him and latching onto him by throwing her arms around his neck. While still holding onto the items. It took mad skill. “Thank you so much!”

Mot waited, Hel's reaction creating a whirlwind of inner thoughts that ranged from mildly nervous to frantically worrying. Finally, she managed to express herself in a tangible way Mot could properly interpret. Although her action that followed made Mot nearly lose his balance, he managed to catch himself with one hand behind him on the shelf, while the other held onto Hel. Stronger he was since he'd kept up with his training, but a stick in build he remained, barely able to support the weight of a curvy ghoul like Hel.
"I'm so relieved you enjoy them! I often worry if what I make is off the mark."

“No, spot on!” Hel cried, and then laughed. A shawl because she wore so little. Oh, Mot. Actually, that reminded Hel… The reaper let go of the boil and dropped back down onto the floor. “Wait right here!” She cried, as if the boil would suddenly up and go somewhere else. “I will be right back!” Hel dashed from the room and back across the hall, where she riffled underneath her bed after putting her new gifts carefully on top of her bed. After a few moments she came back, and had to cases in her hands, one larger than the other. She grinned, and held the smaller of the two out. “Do not ask what spawned this, but I saw them, and decided you needed a pair…kinda fits with the ‘classy as ********’ boogeyman look too!” Inside that case was a pair of silver framed aviator sunglasses that were an orange gradient from dark to light. She then held out another case, bigger, and made out of sturdy leather. “Figured you could use a better set, too.” Inside that case was the best set of wood carving and engraving tools seeds could buy. “You would not believe how many lap dances that equaled.” Teasing, always.

Mot smiled politely, tilting his head as she insisted he stay put. Where else would he go? He looked around his room, drumming his fingers against his leg until she returned. "Presents!" Mot grinned wide, teeth gleaming. Ignoring Hel's foul mouth, Mot opened his first gift, laughing at the shades within. "Just like Bogey-shows." He chuckled. The second gift got a loud gasp from the tall boil. "No WAY! I was pining for this set in the last magazine I bought!" He bellowed, his smile so wide it could rip his face in two. "Hel how did you----"His face froze. "Hel, so not tel such jokes." His face was still frozen in that smile. Likely it was stuck that way now.

Mot was smiling, and Hel was smiling too. Oh so amused at Mot…never immune to her joking…maybe because in a way he wouldn’t put it past her. Hehe. That was funny.
“Ya, ya! I am kidding!” The ghoul cried. “But!” Hel got a serious look on her face. “You will not believe that Mac said to me. He said that if I become a stripper he said he gets a percent of my earnings for emotional and grief compensation!” Hel pouted. “That would not be fair! I am the one doing all the work! He can not get a percent of my earnings for my hard work!”
Clearly, Mot, this was a serious concern.
Hel then laughed, and shook her head a bit.
“Okay, truthfully, I still have a bit of seeds left over from my dowry, even after paying for my cottage and my furniture! So I figured, hey, why not…since I had it!” She grinned.

Hel had a dowry? Oh right. Her family was very traditional. Hm.. when was the last time he contacted his?
Oops.
"Yes, well, tell Mac if he wants in on the earnings he must do his own share of stripping." He said this with much seething, but the mental image that dared to cross his mind made him gag. "Gross..." He grumbled.
