She had encountered the Captain a handful of times now, but he was still legitimately a stranger.

So it might have seemed out of place for her to offer "...I could hold onto yer pets fer a bit... though I'll be honest... they'd probably stay in carriers while they were at my place... ya know... until after ya go through with this sh*t an' all..."

There was a pause.

"...that way... ya get them back..."

Mentally, she winced at the mention of cats. It had nothing to do with allergies, but just a mere dislike for the species in comparison to the superior species that was canine.

In fact, she even held in the fact that she had a dog who would be very curious about the cats once they arrived home.

"...That tailless freak of a cat doesn't cause any problems... so I don't think any other cats would... talking or not..."

Seeming to regain her appetite, she dug into one of the paper bags and pulled out another burrito.

As she peeled the wrapper off, she mentioned "...well... we can meet up t'take care of yer cats... but how 'bout I give ya til.... hmmmm.... first of th' new year... to get yer sh*t together? New life fer a new year?"

There was a pause as she took a large bite of her food, chewing it sloppily before adding "...I'll be at th'park... if ya show, ya show... if ya don't... ya don't..." She shrugged a bit before she resumed food consumption.
