The shove was fierce, but certainly called for, and while Buddingtonite went down on his rear in front of the two, he was too busy giggling and cackling and not once regretting his actions thus far. Yes, he was drunk. Yes, he was a shame to the Negaverse and would likely hear it when he sobered up. Yes, he was the post pathetic excuse for a human being ever to walk the earth, but who was he if not Buddingtonite? Too long had it been since he enjoyed himself with a good laugh, he felt, and even if he was a laughing fool, at least he was laughing. So, for good or ill, Buddingtonite continued to laugh, never once aware or caring that the only one that was ruining his reputation was himself… for the moment, life was good.

What Serpentine thought was dangerous was only more enticing to Buddingtonite, and even if there wasn't an ounce of alcohol in his system, he wanted nothing more than to mirrorwalk. Right now. Right at this very moment. There was nothing in this whole wide world that he wanted to do more than to find the nearest mirror and walk right through it. And Remarque was the PERFECT ticket for that little thrill!

Against Serpentine's wishes, Buddingtonite turned himself over and actually crawled towards the Dark Mirror Prince, reaching out for him when he thought he was close enough and almost falling flat on his face but just barely catching his balance once more. "No, no, no… I'm sober enough… now… let's go! Now! Now!"

He wanted to go so bad! Couldn't Remarque see that? He was practically on his hands and knees… no, literally on his hands on knees, BEGGING, yet he wasn't going to oblige? "C'mon, Remmy… don't tease me like this… don't dangle such a thin' over mah head… that's just wrrooooong!"

In his drunken stupor, he never once realized his accent was slipping through nor how Remarque was throwing well concealed insults at him, and when the world began to spin again, he collapsed at Remarque's feet, wrapping his arms around his feet and appearing to have simply conked out. Not completely true, as he was still barely conscious, but there was nothing to stop the drool and bile from bubbling from his lips. No, there would be mirrorwalking for this little piggy tonight.

It hurt more than Serpentine cared to admit to see Buddingtonite in this state. The shove had not affected him much at all, and if anything only seemed to spur him on in his drunkeness to go with Remarque. The green-and-gold clad Captain would have accepted much else if the Dark Mirror Senshi hadn't been there. It would be bad even if it were some other officer, but at least it would not have been someone with whom he already had bad blood. Yet, he was not blind enough to see that the Senshi was simply an additional wound. The core issue was his partner.

Richard had been bad off even before the game had started. Now, he was so far gone that he was effectively abandoning Krishna on a whim. Drunken, crawling... weak, and pitiful. Yes, he had backed his partner up against those that stood against them during the game, but now he seemed even worse. It took much for someone with Krishna's level of pride to question whether he had done all he could do for him. He guarded, he defended, he supported... and he would continue to do so, but even the brightest of roses sometimes needed dead-heading.

"Fine. Go. I will meet you at your home, Buddingtonite," he eventually hissed, using his friend's full designation in disgust. He turned his back on the whole proceedings. The words were as much a fact to his partner as they were an instruction to the Senshi that offered him transport. His drunken friend was in no condition to make decisions about where to go. It was the only compromise that the proud florist could give. His loyalty demanded that he stay; his vanity refused to stomach the thinly veiled insults. He went off without another word.

He simply could not stomach that Laurelite had been right about this as well.

Remarque lifted his head a bit, looking down his nose at the officer at his feet. His lip twitched into a badly concealed scowl. His gaze travelled to Serpentine, and he thought about calling out to the male.

His ego prevented him from doing that, even if he really didn't want to have to worry about getting Buddingtonite back.

He lingered for a few seconds, as if expecting Buddingtonite to wake up, or Serpentine to turn around and come back.

When it was obvious that neither was going to happen, he let out a little groan and looked down at Buddingtonite.

Oh, he'd get his dose of Mirrorwalking, conscious or not.

Remarque knelt, carelessly heaving the man up. Buddingtonite wasn't necessarily heavy, but Remarque was half-tempted to find some way to discard his coat just so he could lose a few extra pounds of weight. He wasn't entirely certain how many mirrors were stashed away in the area, and while it would have been easier if he'd left Buddingtonite here to go search, he didn't want to risk the man being found in his absence. With great irritation, he carried Buddingtonite with him until he found a mirror—further away than he would have liked—and Mirrorwalked to the only place he could imagine Buddingtonite called home.

It had not been so long ago that they had their little get together, and Remarque had not been so blinded by sexy man-bodies that he hadn't scoped the area out during their little game. His only concern was that furniture would have been moved and he'd have lost access to the room. As he stepped out into the room, he was grateful that redecoration had not been amongst the officer's hobbies.

He did not want to linger any longer than need be; if Serpentine was going to show up, he didn't trust himself not to push at the male's buttons, and he would rather not stick out any more than necessary. He wasn't going to risk some stray senshi noticing a hotspot of chaos energy and decide to investigate.

Remarque did not treat Buddingtonite like some rescued damsel in distress; once inside, he located the nearest piece of furniture—in this case a couch—and dumped him there. Brushing his hands off, he shook his head while looking at the man. He'd have to poke fun at him some other time, or chastise him for his behavior—though, he could probably just leave that to Serpentine. For now, though, he was content to get out of there. With one last look around, he made his way back to the mirror and slipped through.
