 Maji's expression sank as she mentioned that horrid barbarian, his brow creasing into a frown, a soft one, but a frown none the less. He could still remember Laana laying in that cave with broken limbs, cuts everywhere... the fury in Ramses' eyes alone were enough to forbode the punishment for the crime against the pride. Ithi was one Maji still didn't trust fully. She had seemed to have effections for this lion, knew where he was but withheld the information from them.
"I know of him yes." Maji said carefully, "There isn't a lion in this pride that doesn't I'm afraid... what of him?"

"He is my eldest son" She held her head high, sorrow seeping into her expression "I'm so sorry for all he has done to harm others...I've tried to stop him before but he is grown now and while he was younger he held my heart in his claws."
Rahima willed herself not to cry. She hadn't cried about Nyekundu in a long while, not since she'd heard about what he'd done to poor Laana. Perhaps she was still hormonal from her pregnancy - but she felt like crying now, even if it was in front of a leader she'd only just met.

"Ah....", he said at length, his expression turning thorughful but troubled. "I have heard of you before then from Laana... you regret having him from what I can gather."
He took a deep breath, trying to keep himself as composed as possible. The poor lioness had come to them for help and for shelter and he couldn't let his craving for justice on that pink horror to overshadow that. He wanted to tell her the pride's plans for that lion, but how could one telling another that they planned the death of her son? "You are still as welcome here as you were when you came in." He said at last, carefully, "The pride will not turn anyone away in need of help and safety."

"Thankyou..." She bowed her head again, taking it was an oppertunity to blink away the stinging in her eyes as well as show her thanks. After a long pause, the small female thought on what Ithi had said. Time to be serious, she could mourn such things later. "I've heard there's plans to hunt him?"
Turning briefly towards the cave enterance, she thought for a minute or two. Studying the grey lion, she offered what little information she had. "I know a buzzard whose supposedly following him...he's set up a small pride, apparently and is swelling it's numbers by stealing cubs. It won't be an easy task."

Maji bristled visably at the mention of a pride forming... and not by honorably or even somewhat decent means- but by way of cubnap and trickery. "Yes... we intend on hunting him down and ending his life...if what you say is true than he's become far more dangerous than we've previously expected." He sighed, putting a paw to his face in thought. If what she said was true... then she and all the other females and their families were in danger... "How many lions do they have to their name? Do you know of any further plans concerning these lands? Laana was concerned that he'd return here."

Ithi came back in, her ears flat on her head. She rubbed up against the femme she considered as a mother. She sat down and kept her head low, the most submissive position she has ever been in. "Maji.. I didn't tell you..fear of you hating me more.. he had returned.. he raped me on the borders. Why I dont carry his cubs, I do now know but I must have came from some luck. I left the lands in fear you would hunt me to." She bowed her head more, her eyes staring at the floor. "I am sorry, he left after he did what he did, talking about more girls. I dont know his plans I am aplogize from hiding them.. but I feared you would hunt me to." She was holding back the tears worrying about how Maji would react. She had to bring this now, both Maji and Rahima needed to know.

"He was here and you kept it from us?!", he nearly yelled but quickly controlled his voice, "Do you realize how much of a threat that beast is to our way of life here? He threatons all that the lions here suffered to obtain and you still hide him from us...", he growled, closing his eyes and slowing his breathing to compose himself. It was difficult to know what side this lioness was on.. she was a gamble to keep within the pride but he'd not allow himself to succom to his own feelings on the matter, there was always more to a story than the side he was hearing.
"...Ithi...you care for Laana.... she is heavy with cub. I am hearing now that this lion rapes to create cubs...", he looked to the new famale to catch varification in her eyes, "And steals them away to increase his numbers.... I would not put it beyond him to raise them in hate and pain to make them bitter and dangerous... just what is he planning to do?"

"Oh dear one..." Rahima had been about to tell Maji what rumors had reached her, but she turned to the grey female, this idea forgotton. She nuzzled her shoulder. "...I don't plan you for keeping it a secret, most lionnesses do after such things..."
Her mood changed swiftly from sorrowful plotting to a mixture of mild anger and concern for Ithi. That brute of a son of hers! Her tail lashed and for a brief moment, her eyes held a spark other's had seen in her son's eyes - only her's was born of love, not hate.
"...I've never wished death on any creature and somewhere in my heart I still love my son but damn him for all he has done...he's a group of supporter's he's training to spread more hurt and it's just..." She ran out of what to say, her expresion of fury and hurt and worried about Maji's anger.

Ithi didn't know what to say, she knew she had done wrong. "All I know is that he wanted to get his own back on me, for beating him when we were cubs." She looked a little proud at that point but the look soon faded. "All he said was that when the cubs were old enough to look after themselves to take them to him, he wanted enemys in the misty land." She sighed, failing to hide the tears back. "Maji I wanted to tell you, I couldnt have you slaughter cubs though. He said he wont come back, he has no intention to from what I know. I do know he is in the jungle though, I would have told you that anyway." She turned to the crimson lioness, her ears still flat on her head. Closing her eyes she lowered her body to the ground. "I was afriad you would slaughter the cubs... being his and if they were mine I couldn't stand it. I was going to leave here, bring them up elsewhere but.. it never happened. I wasn't pregnant. He told me he wouldn't return." She was worried now for Laana and everyone.
She then turned to Rahima again, "Dont worry about me." She smiled weakly and then looked back at Maji, fear running through her.

"Sloughter them?" Maji sounded hurt by this statement, his eyes narrowed having taken serious offense but such an assumption to his character, "Ithi in all the weeks you've been here you've truely learned nothing have you...."
He looked to her for a moment longer, honestly disappointed in the lioness. Not once had he even had the thought of taking a life other than that of the brute, and that was only because if his life wasn't taken many more would be... or worse. The lion had a hard time eating red meat as he had befriended heard animals and the like. He took a deep breath, shaking his head slowly, "Please let us two alone to discuss this matter, Ithi.... it seems you've some thinking to do."

Ithi bowed her head. She hadn't known what to think about Nyeks cubs being in the pride and it had made sense to her that Maji would want them gone. She turned and slowly left the cave. She would wait for Rahima outside. The silver lioness needed to talk to Maji at some point to learn what he was like, for now she only got mixed messages.
As she reached the entrance of the cave she turned to Maji, her ears still flat on her head, "Teach me then please. One day, so I dont get confused anymore." She spoke softly and as if she was pleading with Maji to teach her what it is she needed to know. It would wait though. She left the cave and laid not too far from the entrance, but far enough so she couldn't hear what was being said.

"She's a bright girl, she just assumes the worst sometimes." Don't worry about her? She and Saburi were her daughters both, never mind blood ties.
Rahima sat silently for a while, thinking it all over. She'd heard of the cub stealing and of her son's brutality, had seen how blood thirsty he had been during his breakdown, but rape was new and horrible. She calmed herself as swiftly as possible.
"The buzzard has told me my son has a younger male under him, learning how to 'break' females, one of the youngesters he has with him. And a wildebeast friend, she told me he has a mate and she is with cub. These are rumor only, but I fear they are true...I was tracking him myself when I learned I myself was with cub, and had to leave the chase."

"She has not been among my favorates since she came here... her mind is a web of negitive thoughts." He sighed, turning to the lioness, "I'm sure she'll mature out of it... I do worry about her."
He listened quietly as she explained what she knew, his ears lowering slightly as his brow creased in thought, a paw raised under his chin rubbed at it slightly. "Would you...be able to tell me where to find him? This buzzard friend of yours might help." He sighed, straightening himself up, "You see, that lion has nearly killed one of the members of this pride who is now heavy with cub... this pride is very small and open to attack from the outside- especially with young ones about. Ramses, the mate to the wounded lioness, has gotten my permission to gather a hunting party and put an end to this threat... We might not be the only pride that's been hurt by this fiend I'm sure..."

"I'm honorbound to help those who have suffered because of one of my kin, but I wish..." She'd been wishing since Nyekundu's birth that he'd loved her and been good. Clearly, wishes were over rated, considering the reputation that followed her estranged son. Likewise, Saburi had gone away.
"I can fetch him, to talk, if Bulknt the vulture choses to find me again...I do not know if he'll speak the truth however, Maji. Rumors often differ from the truth. But that, an apology and my alliegence is all I can offer the Mistweavers"

"That's all we can ask for." He smiled softly, quietly suprssing his rage in the topic of that pink barbarian for the moment. They would find him, the only 'if' involved was if they'd find him sooner or later, but there was no question to it. Ramses had such a flame in his eyes, anger and rage- revenge was sometimes the strongest fuel for something of this magnitude... Maji never did like the concept of revenge but this ran deeper than simply revenge. The death of this pink lion would mean saving many lives if the rumors were true. The more he heard about the beast, the more he longed to end it. "I'm sorry to have to bring all this up in front of you.... and I've neglected good manners..."
He stood himself up, motioning for her to do the same, "You must be weary- and heavy with cub you must be famished. Come, I'll show you to a place where you can rest- help yourself to the water in the caves, it's just as clean as anything... we'll have a hunt tonight and you're more than welcome to have your fair share. It's the very least we can offer."
