The dragoness’s eyes widened when the vendor confessed that he was honored by her compliment. And it would be rude to accept a gift from one who appeared to be most honest. She smiled politely and nodded. “Thank you, good sir…Alberto. May I try one of these?” She asked, pointing to one of the pastries. “And, please excuse my ignorance, but would you be so kind as to tell me what a Abuelita Smith is?”

Poor man…Kyrie wondered if Berkana frightened most baristas in such a manner! Noting the man’s confusion about the frog, she does offer to point out. “My friend here…” She said gesturing towards the frog. “...was the one requesting the Citdra.” She confirmed with a pleasant and reassuring smile…offering to hand the mug down for him.

[[Many thanks, sir...ah...senor.]]

Jien removes the straw, and tucks it in his pocket. He then holds the mug above his head and pours the entire contents straight through the metal grating on his head, where it will reach his coolant systems quickest.

[[Most refreshhhh...shh...shh shh shh shh shh shh]]

While Jien normally emits a frequency which allows others to hear his words in their head, (though in their own voice, and not Jien's) something seems to have gone wrong, because the only sound anyone would be able to hear from Jien now would be the "shooka shooka" of maracas. The three children lower their sticks, slightly worried that their new toy might go nuclear.

Whew...Jien, you make me glad I have a mouth in both of my forms.

*The large clothed frog graciously accepts the large beverage, and drinks it a bit more slowly than her fellow robotic companion*

Yeaaaaaah! Awwright! That is the STUFF! I mean...crooooak...I mean...yeah I can't taste it, but I barely feel that heat anymore...

*She says this, but a bit of steam does seem to be rising up from the frog as the liquid interacts with her mechanical parts. It doesn't smell like electrical fire...so she's probably fine*

Wagner looked to the vendor a bit nervously when addressed, realising the man had overheard his comment, but was soon distracted by the beverage placed in front of him.

"Oooh" he picked up the glass and instead of drinking it like most normal people, held the glass up to the light to examine the contents better, going as far as to remove his silvery spectacles and hold them closer to the glass to slightly magnify the liquid within. He seemed quite enthralled with the colour and texture of the drink, though evidently not for taste purposes, as he turned back to the stall owner without even sipping a drop.

"Oh, would you prefer both?" Wagner placed his spectacles back upon his pale face and started rummaging in his many pockets.

He produced several coins which he laid on the table for the man, and a slim glass vial of a translucent, sparkling liquid containing a number of small, clear gemstones which were assumedly diamonds. They shone in the sunlight brilliantly, accentuating the purity with which the lovecraftian alchemist had been able to create them. Wagner proceeded to use a pair of forceps to carefully pluck one of the glistening lumps of carbon out of the vial and lay it on the counter. The manner in which the sparkling, refractive liquid around the chunks of diamond reacted (and the lack of moisture on the produced one) hinted that perhaps this 'liquid' might just be made of many many far tinier micro-diamonds, diamond-ception!

"There you are sir, many thanks for the solution-I mean the drink. I will be sure to drink it... um, later, and totally not put it through any chemical tests" Wagner thanked the man.

*Berkana pulls some gold out of her dress pocket...yes...because it's Berkana, of course her dress has pockets.

She dunks the limeapple treat into her coffee and then takes a bite. The coffee is a dark roast. Not much caffeine, but man is it bold. It must have been slowly brewed. The limeapple confection is everything she hoped for. It's tart, but sweet...and somehow kind of flaky. It's still fried, but somehow it's not dripping with grease or too crunchy. Perhaps lightly dipped in oil for a short time? Berkana takes a few steps back. It's almost too good.*

"Oh baby...where have you been all my life...?" *She's practically drooling. She's a lady. Yep. Keep telling them that.*

Kyrie pierces her lips, watching Jien for a moment…wondering if perhaps he was having a negative reaction to the liquid refreshment…and now the steam from Dendrobis…? Well…steam wasn’t necessarily a bad thing…was it?

The dragoness’s eyes widened even more at the sudden sparkliness of Wagner’s diamonds. She took in a deep breath, holding for a moment as the memories of her uncle’s draconic hoarding came to mind. Hell…and dragon would desire something that glimmered so brilliantly, especially if it was worth more than anything else in all of the realms!

She felt hot…and quickly fanned herself as she averted her gaze. No…no…her keys were her hoard now; and a far worthier hoard than anything else she had encountered for the moment. Kyrie looked to Berkana and smiled broadly; glad to see her friend enjoying herself. The pastries did indeed look so scrumptious…

…and when she was allowed to try such a treat, the dragoness closed her eyes and side. “Divine.” She purred quietly, a bit lost in her own world filled with the delights of wonderfully tasting pastries…with the added comfort of her fan waving rapidly to help remain cool in the humid heat.

*Alberto blinks.* "¿'What is a Granny Smith?', you ask?" He seems unsure of what she means. The translator kicks in a bit more accurately this time, it seems.* "She's...my grandmother on my mother's side." *he shrugs, but bows as the two women enjoy his confections.* "Gracias." *he averts his eyes from the white-haired woman, who seems to be enjoying it a bit too much.*

*Alberto stares at the floating man with his jaw agape. Did he just....drench himself in his finest Citdra...? More importantly, what was wrong with him?*

"¿...D....do you need a doctor...?" eek

*he looks down at the frog, after the woman in purple make-up pointed.* "¿Que?" *Then he sees the amarillo amphibian....talking. He can't comprehend it, but then it occurs to him*

"Oh I see. You must be someone's Nagual. Have you gotten lost?"

*He accepts the gold from the sickly gentleman...but is hesitant to take any of the contents the vial offered to him. He puts his hands up in front of him in refusal.* "I...cannot accept your metanfetamina, I have a reputable business...no drogas..."

((Sorry my phone died on me as I sent the post so I had to retype it))

Sara was rather surprised that he offered her free food. On one hand she knew he had to make money, but on the other it was free food. She then figured if she onlyntook a little it would be okay....right? "May I have two of the pastries and two small limanzanas?" She asked ordering for Shadow and herself. When Shadow realized he would be getting treats by staying with Sara he flew back to her side. "And you are correct. I am looking forward to Verde's match as well." She said beaming at the man, Alberto, clearly excited.

However rather quickly she noticed that Jien's words were being replaced by the sound of maracas and that Dendrobis was even getting a bit silly. Part of Sara wanted to laugh at he silliness but another part of her was clearly worried about her friends.

Jien continues to use sign language, as he normally does. To anyone who actually understands sign language, he's entirely coherent, and inquiring about why everyone is looking at him strangely. His transmitter on the other hand, bursts into festive Mexican trumpet music, and this sends the children running from him, though they're giggling as they flee the scene.

"¡Estoy a su servicio!" *he's happy to oblige a Señiorita de Pilar, and he pulls out a fresh limanzana and promptly slices it into quarters. The normal serving is two quarters on a plate, so he offers her the four slices. He also makes a fresh empanada for her. He takes another fresh limanzana and shaves the skin off with a knife. Then he promptly dices it into tiny stringy pieces, then slices those in half. He rolls some dough and tosses it (like a pizza, except smaller). He adds some pre-prepared spices and a tiny bit of powdered sugar. He puts it in oil for about 15 seconds, then takes it out. He pats it with a towel and then pours a small glass of Citdra for her, and hands it to her.*

"Please enjoy. May the wind of the Divine Quetzagriffon guide your Boxador Vasallo's strikes."

"Metanfetamina?" in this instance the time taken for his translator to fully process some of the words worked against him, and for the life of him he could not figure out why the man refused to accept his diamond "Most strange, does it perhaps not have the chemical property you were looking for? I assure you it has minimal silicon impurities" he then seemed to come to a sudden conclusion in his mind... or just perhaps his wild imagination "Ah, you must have wanted boron fused diamonds as conductors, I'm terribly sorry, I'll be sure to bring one next time I pass by sir" the alchemist enthusiastically nodded at that man, misinterpreting the situation entirely.

He sniffed the air, catching a whiff of the steam being let out from Dendrobis beside him. It didn't smell like fire, or any sort of toxic substance, but considering the metal amphibian was steaming at all sort of triggered an instinct that told Wager he might be safer slightly further away.

Picking his diamond back up with his forceps he sidled as naturally as he could manage - in otherwords not naturally in the least - away from Dendrobis, and instead decided to strike up a conversation with Kyrie. He'd not remembered seeing her before, but hadn't thought much of it since Berkana seemed to be friendly towards her. He'd caught her looking quite intensely towards the diamonds he had taken out however, so thought this might be a good way to introduce himself to the elegantly robed lady.

"Would you like it instead, madam?" he addressed Kyrie politely, extending the forcep-gripped stone towards her "It seems they don't take them here and, well, I get far more chemical use out of the smaller ones, once synthesised they become rather hard to shape"

It perhaps said something about the alchemist that the only value he found in the precious stones seemed to be as reagents for his inquisitive alchemical experiments.

“My apologies, good sir.” Kyrie chuckled, plucked out of her revelry as the translation device kicked in to better translate the circumstance. “I am still learning your eloquent language.” Yes…flattery usually helps out in such situations…usually.

She then wondered what a Nagual was, but was a bit too embarrassed to ask any further questions about random words. However…the sudden sound of trumpets bursting from Jien cause Kyrie to jump some, covering her ears. “Master Jien! What is wrong? Why do you project in musical instruments?!”

“Pardon me?” Kyrie’s attention then averted as Wagner offered her the diamond. “I…oh! Well…I would not have dared to ask…but…if it alright with you…” Her normally purple face blushed a bit…it seemed like today was ‘Kyrie gets Random Things for Free Day’!!! “And this is a gem that you made? But not from the natural means of which most precious stones are made?” Of course, it didn’t help that she couldn’t keep her eyes off of the sparkling gem! She could almost feel the draconic blood in her start to boil with the hoarding desire. Quickly, she fanned herself…believing the heat and humidity was going to get the better of her!

*Berkana finishes her empanada and overhears Alberto mention some interesting words.* "Excuse me...did you say 'Nagual'? And what's this about a 'Divine Quetzagriffon'?"

Sara watched as the treats were made. Oh goodness they smelled tantalizing. When Alberto gave them over as well as a small glass of the Citdra, Sara was pretty sure she was going to drool if she wasn't careful. "Thank you so much Mister Alberto. It looks and smells delicious. And thank you for your kind wishes." She said just as Shadow swooped in to steal one of the pastries.

Sara chuckled. "I think Shadow likes them as well." She said before looking over at her group of friends. Chaotic and random but full of happiness and kindness. Sara wouldn't wish for a better group of friends.
