Room 4
First die: If the number is 1-2, you encounter an Ayrala dragon. If the number is 3-4, you encounter a Kiandri dragon.
Second die: If the number is 1, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 2, you seem to have triggered an old spell and your movement is slowed. Your luck chance is now reduced by 20%. [If your normal luck range is 61-100, it is now 81-100.] If the number is 3, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 4, you have encountered a Bognotti instead of a dragon. See "Creatures" below to see stats. You still fight just like in a dragon hunt, only against the creature instead of a dragon.
Continuing into the cave system, the walls now start to glisten with moisture where the light hits them. Shadows are becoming darker and more prevalent, but the overall light level is still that of early evening.
awe shucks. luck is still so high it has no effect

Erionda smirked as she watched the Dragon crumble away. No Kiandri had survived an encounter with her. Stepping forward she scooped up her own orb. Her eyes flicking towards the familiar Ysali Drakein she knew well. Then towards the Orderite. Grateful it had finally fallen silent. Placing the Kiandri orb in the bag on her waist Erionda paused as Kioda asked to trade. Tilting her head with a smile Rio couldn't help but laugh. It was predictable. She had broken into her house for those very items. It was a wonder the Ysali hadn't attempted to steal the first six and made off with them.

Flicking her hair over her shoulder Erionda clicked her heals. Reaching to exchange the orb only to be beaten to the punch by the smaller feathered one. Raising an eyebrow in interest Rio watched for a moment before growing bored. The full blooded races were all the same. Ignorant. It was a good thing that her skin appeared no different than a normal Dovaa's. That her eyes were that of a Dovaa. They could easily be confused for a mistake, or accident during her clan choosing. As for her hair, that was easily explainable as well. Dovaa had a way of dying their hair. Though it wasn't common place it certainly happened. It left her looking, moving, acting as if she were a pure Dovaa. So why was this Oblivionite acting like he had something up his rear that he couldn't remove? Normally both sides were eager to win over the trust of a Dovaa. It wasn't like she was visibly a hybrid in any way. She hadn't shown her wings or pulled out her sword. She had only used her magic. She couldn't help but be grateful she was only a quarter Orderite.

Rolling her eyes Erionda proceeded to the next room. Perhaps his personality was just built that way. Uassae trotted up beside her as they entered the next room. A pressure settled on them the moment they entered. Almost as if the room itself were full of a thick jelly that made it hard to move.

"What the -" Erionda began her head turning slowly from side to side. "Uassae do you feel this?"

She paused as he answered her mentally. I think we triggered something. I haven't felt a spell like this before.

"It wasn't here the last time we were. I would have felt it. Kilian would have felt it. Even Amadia." Erionda spoke. The sound of lightning sizzling drew her attention to an approaching Kiandri. "Well now. I bet, even with our slight impairment it wont stand a chance. Shall we?" Erionda finished with a smirk.

"Pay no mind Rio. She just miss Kilian." Lanzecki began as he stood beside Kioda. Watching the strange new pair with interest. Would this one make a good friend? Could he play tag with this one just as easily? Cooing as he watched the feathered one approach with an orb the Ayrala wiggled his rump playfully. Lowing his withers in a play bow meant to show fun.

Kioda waited for someone to respond. Patiently biding her time. It wasn't likely anyone would bite on her offer, but Rio had promised earlier! Flexing her wings Kioda was pleased when the small feathered Keindred approached with exactly what she wanted. Taken back when he told her it was a trade. Wasn't that what she had said? Bonded really were farther behind her feral family than she had been told. She had expected a slower thinking, slower learning but this? Kioda only shook her head as she placed the orb down beside the offered Ysali orb. Her mind whirling with excitement.

"This makes me happy." Reaching out with her muzzle Kioda nuzzled the young Drakein playfully. Pausing to listen to Lanzecki's broken speech. Yes it was probably best she let Lanzecki play with the little one. She could remember being that small. Remember loving everything around her. She wasn't nearly as dramatic as the small one but she sure used to love everything. That was until she had been attacked by a whole hoard of Orderites the night Erionda's parents had fled Serenia in order to protect their one and only child.

"It's good of you Lanzecki." She gave the small grey male a nuzzle in turn before turning to head down the next cave. Her entrance was immediately stopped as if she had run into a solid wall she couldn't pass. Irritated Kioda attempted to flap her wings. To no avail she couldn't move. Not forward. Not back. Whatever had happened had paralyzed her.

"Darke speech."
"Mae speech."

Darke found himself amused by the green female's antics, and he playfully butted her back, before he picked up the offered Kiandri Orb and returned to place it in Mae's palm. The little Orderite boy smiled fondly at him, giving his an affectionate rub on the head. At least the other Drakeins were being friendly toward him... He was just a young Keindred, after all, so there was no reason for them to be harsh to Darke, even if they were to Mae. Patting his companion's neck, Mae sent him off to play with the grey Keindred that seemed interested in them. With a bounce and a chirp, Darke whirled around to pounce playfully on the other Keindred, knocking the two of them into the next cave.

Mae blinked as he followed after them. The young Drakein had said 'Rio.' That must be the girl's name. He trotted after her into the next room, surprised to find that his body wasn't responsive as quickly as he would've liked. It was probably the first time he'd ever had some kind of spell used on him. Yes, he'd fought with Drakeins and their magic before, but he'd never had something directly affect him like this. The first thing he felt was alarm. What if it was that girl's doing? But as his sharp gaze landed fearfully on her, he couldn't help but noticed she was caught by the same affliction. "What is this?" The boy questioned quietly.

Darke chirped and shook his head, pulling away from the tussle with the other Keindred to make his way slowly to Mae's side. It seemed bad for the both of them. Especially if the emerging Kiandri was not under the same curse. Lightning was pretty quick, after all...

Erionda shifted to brace herself against the closest out jutting of rock. She both hated the spell and loved it at the same time. It was like another reason to train her speed. The part she hated was how well it worked on her. Looking back at Kioda she frowned. Kioda seemed completely helpless against the spell. She had little concern for the Orderite save for the fact Lanzecki seemed to start warming up towards the duo. Already bored with what would be another easy kill Erionda sighed. Her magic catching the moist air. Forming thin needle like shards of ice. "I grow tired of your kind."

It was like a rush of drugs to her system. Killing dragons left her feeling the most at home. She was proficient in most circumstances in a fight against any dragon. She could feel the dragons panic as the ice flew towards it. Feel it's realization of her just as the final blow was delivered. Reveled in the sight of it's body turning to dust and three orbs tumbled to the ground.

"It's a trap that was triggered in here Orderite." As if on que the magic in the room lifted. "You must not know much about this place. It's riddled with more traps and dangers than the battle field of Eowyn itself." And she knew it too. Living on Eowyn had been hard for her as an Apprentice. She had to learn to dodge and hide until she could see the traps and hear the battles. Kiandri hadn't bothered her though, until she had become strong enough to destroy them. Now she was known as the Kiandri's nightmare. Every once in a while she had to remind them. Or Kilian would. That they were still in the small valley.

Lanzecki gave a small pout as the other Keindred wandered away. He wanted to play! It had even gone as far as to tease him with a pounce before it wandered away. How cruel! His wings dramatically hit the floor as he started whimpering his distress. This wasn't fair. It was like Amadia all over again. Teasing him with a start to a perfect game before she would run away to hide behind Kilian. Not this time. Several more whimpers ignited before he moved towards Drake. Wiggling his rump again for a pounce. His wings spread ready for the move.

Room 5
First die: If the number is 1, you encounter an Ayrala dragon. If the number is 2-3, you encounter a Kiandri dragon. If the number is 4, you encounter a Firani dragon
Second die: If the number is 1-2, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 3, you feel especially brave and daring and your luck chance is increased by 10%. [So if your normal luck range is normally 61-100, it is now 51-100. You cannot go below 6-100, though.] If the number is 4, the dragon roars and any Bonded Drakein quake in fear. (No change to your luck chance, but any Bonded Drakein cannot be RPed as helping during this fight.)
The air grows damper as you continue on, a few small puddles appearing on the floor from time to time, especially in lower laying areas and against walls. This room has several large stalagmites jutting from the floor.

Kioda felt the spell lift. And couldn't have been happier about it. Prancing forward she grabbed up the other orb from the ground just as Rio reached for hers. With a twinkle in her eyes, Kioda moved towards the new pair. They had traded her one of the Ysali orbs previously. And she knew they had two on them. Would they be willing to trade another one with her?

Placing the orb before them patiently Kioda's tail curled up against her. "Willing to trade again? I know you contain yet another Ysali orb." Her voice resonated with a purr as she spoke. Every Ysali orb she could get her hands on was well worth all the effort. She remained mindful of Lanzecki's antics. Always the dramatic sort. It was a wonder Erionda was able to tolerate the little one for so long. She herself would have put him in his place long ago. But this wasn't her kin. It wasn't her offspring. Nor was he part of her family. So even if she wanted to, even if she tried. There would be no use. Lanzecki only listened to Erionda.

"Darke speech."
"Mae speech."

Mae scowled at the woman. Of all the creatures in this cave, she grated on him the worst. "I told you, my name is Mae." He snapped, tired of the cold, rude shoulder he was receiving. He could've bypassed her race if she was only a bit more friendly, but she wasn't. She still hadn't even offered her name, ever after Mae had given his. And above all else, he absolutely hated being told he didn't know much. He was what, like half her age? Hopefully she understood and had seen more than him. This was his very first time off of Serenia, after all... And for all the earlier talk of him being bloodthirsty, she was far worse! So, shaking his head, Mae headed into the next cavern, leaving her and her Drakein friends behind.

Darke however, was at an impasse... He knew he should follow after Mae to console his griping companion, but he couldn't help but notice the other Keindred was still eager to play with him... It wasn't very often that Darke was able to make a friend his own age of his kind. And despite the attitude in the room, he didn't feel they were in danger anymore. He crouched down, ruffling his feathers and blowing a playfully frosty breath at the other Keindred.

Meanwhile, Mae blinked as the green Drakein approached him. He was still sure Darke would be better at this interactions with him, but if all she wanted was a trade, surely he could handle that on his own. Nodding, Mae reached into his pack. "Sure." He agreed, offering his last Ysali Orb to her. He wasn't entirely clear on why the Drakeins needed orbs for power, but this one couldn't be too bad if she was trading with Magescians so civilly.

"Yeah, and I'm Erionda. You have no need to repeat yourself. And so rudely." Erionda growled her eyes flashing to the next cavern. Eyes paused on the puddles on the floor. She remembered this upcoming room. If this was something had caused her and Kilian's Drakeins to shake in fear. Erionda bit her lip nervously. If this was something that happened whenever they entered the room, then it was smart of Kioda to travel with her through these caves. What if they effected wild Drakein as much as the bonded ones? It was also a signal that they were almost halfway done. If not already that far along. She watched Kioda. Trading once again. Erionda held back. She would wait for Diabi or Aeduan orbs to drop. Then she would trade those for the Ysali orbs Kioda desired. Diabi were far more valuable to her than the common Ysali ones. And the more she had of the Diabi the better for her and Kilian. Walking on she ran past anyone in front of her. She had to make sure the other room would not cause the same trouble as it had the last time.

Lanzecki's wings burst open in excitement. This was a game he knew well! The frost breath was the start of his wings beating. Feet began to hit the ground in a strange pattern. Creating a musical rhythm of sound. At the end his tail hit the ground. His muzzle moved towards Darke's feet. His nostrils flared as he sniffed for the precious treat. His wings falling to the ground limply, like a loose quilt. A long low pitched whine was amplified by the cave. How could this be!? He had no treat to offer him! Collapsing on the ground Lanzecki flopped about like a fish out of the water. How Cruel! To start a game without plans to finish. He howled while his claws racked the ground.

Erionda tore into the room. A Kiandri slept in the middle of the room. Not waisting time Erionda lept onto its back. Racing along its spine until she plopped down on its shoulders. "Killing you in your sleep is an unkind and yet merciful thing. WAKE UP!" Erionda yelled slapping the dragon on either side of its neck. Ice forming like a necklace around the Kiandri's neck. The dragons painful scream matched with Lanzecki's with timing.

Leaping from the Dragon in a panic for her companion Erionda moved back towards the entrance. She needed to check on the small grey Keinling. She could tell the angry dragon was in pursuit. Glaring back with rage Erionda stomped on the ground. A trail of ice froze a path towards the dragon. Stopping in a pool of water. A large spike of ice formed from the pool, the sharp point sparkled before imbedding itself in the dragons hide.

Huffing Erionda mentally reached out to Lanzecki as she moved back towards him. Pausing when the two small Drakein came into view. She ground her teeth together as Uassae explained the situation. Smoothing her fingers through her hair Erionda sighed. Lanzecki was only playing about. Just as dramatically as always. Closing her eyes she turned to move towards the next room.

Kioda's teal eyes watched the interactions between the Orderite and the Hybrid. She understood where Erionda came from, it didn't help Mae had unknowingly insulted Rio. His remarks against the Oblivionite race could balance both ways with the ice magic bearing girl. Her lover was a pure blooded Oblivionite. And she held her Mate so close to her heart she often forgot about the rest of the race. At least, as far as the Drakein understood.

Chuckling, pleasurably the sight of the orb exchange. Her tail wiggled like a worm caught in a dactyls beak. This was another Ysali orb she could add to her collection. Blinking she moved along with Mae. "Don't take Erionda personally. No Orderite has ever been kind to her. Not on Serenia. Even less so here on Eowyn. Usually she would kill you on sight out on the sand. Anyone that has been out here has come only to hunt her. It's a huge step for her to even let you follow her through the caves." Though Kioda was not far in difference than Rio when it came to a deep seated hate for the blood thirst birds. Good faith had been shown when Mae had allowed an orb trade to occur. Purring as she paused before entering the next room.

"I would wait. I know that if dragons continue to grow in strength I am no match against whatever could be in there. Our best chances are with..." Kioda paused. She wanted to finish by saying 'the Hybrid'. But what if the Orderite didn't know she was a Hybrid? She could inevitably cause Erionda's death. "The Dovaa." Kioda muttered the end as quickly as she could.

As if the young woman had heard her name spoken, Erionda rushed ahead to dispatch yet another Kiandri. "That's why she can speak with them you know. Understand the dragon's language. She'd Dovaa. Doesn't explain her deep hate of them though." Jumping before she could finish speaking as the sound of Lanzecki's scream echoed from behind her.

"Darke speech."
"Mae speech."

Mae could only shake his head as Erionda, as she was called, charged ahead into the next room. The Orderite followed at a more sedated pace, keeping step with the green Drakein he'd been trading with. He blinked and stared curiously at her as she mentioned 'the Dovaa.' Did she think he was stupid? Mae might not be the greatest warrior (yet), or the most people-friendly, but he was certainly book-smart. Plus, having Darke around was an added bonus. Even though the Keindred was more focused on his Drakein counterparts, every now and then, Mae would catch a picture through the bond of something familiar... Some kind of familiar scent whenever his gaze happened to fall upon the girl. "She's no Dovaa." Mae replied. "At least, not entirely. Darke recognizes the scent of Orderite, and she's got it." Faint as it was. He hadn't specifically said so to Mae, but he didn't have to. The boy understood the strange images he received well enough.

Darke leaped back in surprise as his new grey friend wailed in disappointment. For some reason, the young Alikein instantly felt guilt. He hadn't done anything to the other Keindred, but would that girl know that...? What if she came after him for hurting her friend...? Tucking low against the ground, Darke slunk away from Lanzecki with his tail between his legs, bustling once again to Mae's side before he could be caught with the other Keindred. But as the orbs dropped from the latest kill, the sky-colored youngling bounded over to retrieve an orb for his Bonded. He plucked it up in his muzzle then turned to hurry back to his companion's side. But not before his soft, feathered tail could brush Erionda's arm in quiet thanks.

He jumped back to Mae, dropping the new treasure into the boy's open palm then giving him a playful headbutt right in the gut. Standing straight up on all fours, the Keindred's head came right up to the Orderite's shoulder, so even an affectionate nuzzle was enough to knock him over. Mae squeaked in surprise as he flopped backward, then laughed softly as Darke's nose blew through his hair, sending a chill down his back. In all fairness, Mae was just a child after all. Even the playfulness of a young Keindred could still make him smile. Getting to his feet with a little help from Darke, Mae nodded. "Let's go." He told his companion before charging into the next room.

Lanzecki wiggled in disappointment. No one was paying any attention to him. What had this place come to! They were supposed to care that he was crying!

Hurry your body up Lanzecki before a dragon re spawns in there. You know it doesn't take long.
Erionda warned over the bond.

Squeaking even louder Lanzecki pushed to his feet and scurried towards the dropped orbs. Scooping up the ones belonging to Rio he continued to move along until he was close beside the frightened Hastar. Slipping the orbs into the pack at his side. Sniffing indignantly at the shunned reactions of his pain Lanzecki followed behind Erionda as she moved towards the next room. His eyes on the small feathered counterpart.

Erionda felt the tail of the feathered one brush up against her. She wanted to react, to reach out and pet it. But it was a bonded. Attached to a painfully annoying Orderite. She paused as she overheard Mae speak. What in the world of Magesc? Did that creature have some sick form of superpowers? There was no way to smell Orderite in her blood, or on her. She neither moved, nor acted like an Orderite. She didn't even follow their customs.

Erionda's icy eyes snapped at the Orderite before entering the next cavern. It was like everyone she had run across has some form of hybrid radar. It was like gaydar only more accurate. Her eyes danced around the Firani as her face warmed at the memories in the room. She never had much luck against the fire element. Eowyn was hard enough on her magic but the Firani were a different story.

The familiar magic raced along her arms as she extended them in front of her. Movements meant to push away the dragon. Shards catching in the water and flying towards the Firani only to melt before it could cause any sustaining damage. Hissing Erionda's fingers twitched towards the sword on her Hastar. It was too early to pull the blade out to face the Dragons. She would just have to survive this one. Attack after attack landed on the dragon until Erionda could feel the life leave the dragon

Panting at the use of her magic Erionda bent down to pick up the Firani orb. The hadn't killed one of these yet. Kilian had killed them all for her the last time they had faced Firani. She was stronger than she gave even herself credit for.

Kioda remained silent. Either the smaller one had super senses or Erionda had been around Orderites recently. She herself could pick out the smell of Orderites but she was certain Erionda didn't contain it. And if she did it was heavily masked by the smell of her Oblivionite Mate. Moving forward Kioda paused as they entered the next room. There stood a magnificent beast. The red glow turned the blue of the glowing mushrooms a sort of purple. It was a wonder people didn't get lost in the beauty of the caverns and fall prey to the dragons within.

The dragon roared at Erionda's attacks. It was clearly getting angry. Slamming her tail on the ground Kioda burst forward. Her claws extending as she slashed deep gashes into the dragons flesh.

"Darke speech."
"Mae speech."

Mae and Darke entered the room together. There hadn't been much need for their assistance, but as the Orderite watched Erionda's icy magical attacks have minimal effect on the Firani, he decided he should get in there and do whatever he could. He hadn't yet had the opportunity to use his slingblade, and if ever was the time, it was in a system of caverns overflowing with Dragons. He doubted the hybrid girl would thank he for his interference, but at this point, Mae couldn't possibly care any less what she thought of him. She obviously didn't care what he thought of her, so there was no reason not to reciprocate the favor.

He dove in, slipping his weapon free of its holster. The ribbon around the hilt unwound itself and as Mae threw whipped the blade out, he snagged the ribbon in his grasp, jerking forward to land a deep scratch across the Firani's hide. He was careful not to get in the girl's way; either because he was afraid she'd snap at him or because he didn't want to be in her crossfire anyway. As she fought with her magic, Mae fought with his blade and together they were able to vanquish the Firani menace. Once defeated, Mae sighed. He took the time to wrap his ribbon up again before putting the blade away in its holster.

Darke scampered ahead to retrieve the orb and brought it back to him as usual. Shaking his head, Mae headed toward the next room.

Room 7
First die: If the number is 1, you encounter a Kiandri dragon. If the number is 2-3, you encounter a Firani dragon. If the number is 4, you encounter a Peisio dragon.
Second die: If the number is 1-2, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 3, a sudden rock slide closes off the entrance to this room as you enter. You can no longer chose to move closer to the entrance and instead must either move deeper into the cave or leave. [If you have already had this rock slide happen, nothing happens.] If the number is 4, a sudden gush of water fills the room, slowly you down. Your luck chance decreases by 10%. [If your normal luck range is 61-100, it is now 71-100.]
More of the glowing fungus grows in this room, aiding what little light has penetrated this far into the cave system. The light reflects off the damp walls and puddles, adding to this effect.

Stuffing the orb away into the hastars bag Erionda was grateful for the silence that finally seemed to fall among the group. It wasn't that she didn't like chatter, she just didn't feel the need to talk to the young Orderite that had joined. He may have offered his name but in no way had offered anything else helpful.

Taking the lead rope on her beast Erionda began to push towards the room. She was glad the fungus lit the way. She hadn't brought a torch with her yet again this time. Last time she had the help of Amadia, Kilians Drakein to light the way. Her eyes flicked towards Uassae. Could he light the caverns if it really came down to it? He was an Aeduan after all.

Entering the next cave Erionda glanced at all four Drakein. Kioda sure bore the scars of battle. Uassae and Lanzecki's hides were nearly pristine. She wondered if Drake's even showed scars under the feathers. She shrugged at the thought but continued into the next cavern. Keeping the Hastar close as they moved.

The roar of another dragon reached her ears. Scanning the floor she couldn't see it in the usual hiding spot. Irritated Erionda finally pushed her eyes towards the roof of the cavern. Cursing under her breath Erionda pushed her magic outward. This was going to be interesting. Perhaps a more intelligent fight would come out of this one.
