After getting on her broom, Hailey squats and gets ready to push off.
She doesn't do as she intended and the broom jerks to the left while Hailey is still on the ground.

How much flight experience you have? - A decent amount on my own but no formal training. I enjoy flying when I can but I live around Muggles so it varies.
What's the coolest flying maneuver you have seen? - I think the one where the Chosen One nearly ate a Snitch was pretty awesome, don't you?
Say a little about what you think you know and what you would like to learn. - I'd like to say I'm a mid-grade flyer who'd like to be at a professional level. I'd love to go out for the Quidditch team if the rules will allow it so the more I learn the better.

Crystal attempts to hover. She pushes off...
the broom veers right instead of up. Crystal mutters something about insubordination again.

After gaining control of the broom again, Hailey mounted it again and tried again.
She got the same result as last time and sends the broom a withering glare.

After lining up, Chi stands next to her broom, hovering her hand over it.
"Up!"
The broom slowly rises to Chi's hand. She carefully mounts the broom.

Chi kicks off the ground, but instead of hovering, she ends up flying in circles before landing in some rather uncomfortable brush.
"Ouchie..." she whimpers.
She hobbles back to her broom to try again.

Chi kicks off the ground. Her second try goes much better--she manages not to lose control of the broom and flies to the right. However, she is unable to rise.
Chi decides to try once again.

Chi tries again, only for a similar result to happen. Instead of flying to the right, she flies to the left. She still fails to rise.

Chi finally manages to fly straight up without hurting herself. Although not completely perfect, she decides not to try again. Better to not do it perfectly one time then to hurdle into the bushes another couple times to finally get it perfect...

Crystal steadies herself in her new location and tries to hover again.
It goes very well this time! It's not perfect but she's happy with it.
