Rio should probably had thought that out better. He was very unlikely to be rid of Caelia now. "okay !"
"I have a brother and a sister !" Caelia announced, full of pride. Apparently Underworld-related deities did it in three, a joke that would sadly be lost on her. "I think they went with dad. Kios was supposed to go play with me while mom's working on her archives."

Another set of three? Personally, he wasn't sure he'd be able to handle three children at once - two had been enough! And...he was going to stop thinking about that now, before he became terrible company. No one wanted a moping prince. "A brother and a sister? Both as charming as you, I imagine."

Moping princes were no good, no ! Of course Caelia would simply have seen it as a challenge to try and cheer him up again.
"Of course." Her siblings were the best siblings, after all. There was simply no contest howsoever. "My brother is really, really smart. And my sister is super clever !" They always had all sorts of amazing ideas.

"Together, you must be quite the handful," Rio speculated, wondering if he should be feeling sorry for their parents. Three charming, smart, clever godlings could no doubt get themselves into all manner of mischief. "Tell me, what are your domains, if you don't mind sharing?"
He couldn't help but be very curious as to what exactly Spirit Guide and Numbers had given life to.

Thankfully for Rio, Caelia was much too distracted to notice his faltering. "Sometimes ! She's really busy looking for a place for... A temple I think she says ? She stays with Kios and the cat and Keme, I think." The addition of a third player in Lament's life might very well be news to Love.
"She's really pretty. Do you think I'll be pretty like mom and Echo, one day ?"

"That would keep one rather busy, I imagine." Keme...? Hmm. That was not a name he had heard before, but he wasn't surprised. He'd missed quite a bit, apparently.
He smiled at Caelia's question, the like of which he'd heard from his own daughter. "Why of course you will be! In fact, I think you're already well on your way."

"Hm-n ! She's really really busy." That much Caelia could confirm, though thankfully she had little memory of her aunt in her worse state. Busy was superior to nearly gone, after all.
"You think so ?" Oh ! Yes, this was indeed quite enough to tickle Caelia's fancy. And Rio was somewhat of an expert on the matter, she could only assume. "Thank you !"

"Oh yes," he assured her, "You have my official opinion as a prince."
"Ah, but I've forgotten your party gift, haven't I? Such a gracious hostess deserves one! Hmm...but what, I wonder..." Rio made a great show of thinking about it before conjuring a red rose to lay on the table. "How about a beautiful flower for a beautiful lady? Or...would you prefer some chocolate to go with your tea?" A large box of candy followed the rose.

Okay, now that was awesome. Caelia could only stare, little eyes wide, as first the rose and then the box of chocolates took form from, well, nothing !
"How did you do that ?!" Her little mind was blown, and the look was not unlike the one who had graced the face of her so-called boring cousin when he had been her age. "It's so pretty !" She could not vouch for the chocolate without eating it first, but she set on that case pretty quickly, as one might expect.

Seeing that reaction never, ever got old. His particular talents were nowhere near as grand or 'useful' as those of some other gods - or those of some mortals, even - but he had no complaints. "It's just an ability of mine, is all. I can summon little gifts like that."
