Tantalus growled. At Disneya's suggestion, and with a little kicking and flailing, he got over to her, grabbing her hand and then twisting his fingers in the shade,s hair and pulling it away from the blonde Senshi as hard as he could without something to lean against.
"How high do you think we can go?" He wasn't expecting to make it to the second star to the right and straighten 'till morning or anything, but they definitely had to go higher than this.

As soon as he had a hold of both her hand and the shade, it was like a circut connecting. As if her magical engine power was suddenly doubled, They shot upwards, straight upwards like a cork out of a champagne bottle.
" I have no idea, well just go as high as we can... Ive never tried to do this before. I didnt even know I could control it until... well... about fifteen minutes ago " Disneya could fly as fast as she could run, and considering all of her focus was on sending them upwards, they were were already high above the treetops in a matter of mere moments. The shade screamed and flailed, legs kicking and neck wrenching around like she were a fish at the end of a line. Kicks aimed at them both, but mostly at Tantalus. Trying to reach up and claw and disneya's eyes with her gray gloved hands.
" Well just keep going untill It starts to wear off! We wont fall... just her. " Disneya gasped as shade scratched at the side of her face, sharp nails clawing at skin through its gloves.
After about 18 seconds they were high up. So high that the park below looked like one of those scale models you see for building projects. Everything in perfect, delicate, miniature. Only it wasn't. Disneya knew just second before she had been rolling around in the dirt. She was suddenly also very grateful she wasn't afraid of heights.
And then their speed slowed, until they hung suspended for a heartbeat and could go no further even though she willed it so, the dull shower of sparkles that fell from them in dusty profusion starting to slow.

Tantalus held on as tight as he could, both to the real Disneya and the shade, heart pounding as they ascended into the air. This was definitely a degree of terrifying, and he was doing his best not to show it.
"At least you know now, yes?" He pointed out, "so some good came from this," Better than nothing. The higher they got, oddly, the better he felt, because it meant that there was a good likelihood that dropping the shade would end her. He had to trust in the magic of the Senshi he was with, believe that they could do this.
And when they stopped ascending, he released his grip on the shade, so that hopefully she'd be sent falling to earth. "This should do just fine."

" Yeah... At least that is something good " Though Disneya sounded infinitely sad. She took another gulp, and gripping Tantalus's hand a little bit tighter, she said, the scratches on her face bleeding, making one of her eyes sting.
She nodded as Tantalus signaled that this should be sufficient, the shade thrashing even more, landing a kick to Disneya's side, frantic, as if even with its minimal intelligence it knew what was about to happen.
Disneya let go as well.
The shade windmilled its arms, as if trying to catch is balance, or maybe trying to land a frantic last hit, and fell like a stone. She knew in theory that it was moving fast, but it was as if her brain was watching it in slow motion, unable to look away. She floated there with Tantalus, their own bodies now starting to float slowly to the ground, graceful and gentle. A stark contrast to the plummet of the shade.

Tantalus frowned and waited in silence until they'd floated back to the ground, and then he pulled Disneya in for another hug, keeping her attention away fom the body of the shade, already fading out.
"Hope that this is the only time you ever have to do that," he said, his voice soft. He would hate to think that Disneya might end up in another situation where she had to do harm to someone, but the possibility existed...
"And remember that if you hadn't, she would have ended you," as I'd that was any comfort. Still, he had gotten his long-awaited opportunity to end one of these blacked-out things.

Their feet touched the ground softly, almost silently, and Tantalus pulled her in for a hug. She turned so she wasn't looking at the body, twisted and broken on the ground. Curling her fingers into the fabric of his shirt and hiding her face in the soft fabric of his scarf, she said nothing. But tiny shivers ran up and down the length of her body, and the other senshi would be able to feel that.
She stayed like that for a moment, simply taking in the comfort be offered. The realization that if he hadn't been there, that he was right. That think very well would have killed her. She would have been dead somewhere in the park.
Still the image of herself, broken with glassed over eyes was scorched into her brain forever. The body had already faded away into nothingness, but she didn't think that picture was something she would ever forget.
" Thank you for not leaving me alone. " She said, her voice quiet muffled by his scarf.

Tantalus gently stroked her hair, a calming gesture. "Of course. It would have been inexcusable for me to leave you to face it alone." He'd had help in every encounter with one of those things, and every t'me, it had saved his life. It was good to know he could do the same for someone else.
"You're safe, and it's gone, permanently. It can't get to you again," he reminded her gently. "And I promise that if I can, if you are ever in danger, I will come for you." He might not be able to keep it, not every time, but Disneya needed someone to keep her safe for certain, and so he would make the promise anyway.
