ChaosKnights Zero the Crimson True... I agree that would be awesome! Geez, I still can't believe they couldn't find a better way for Naruto to beat Kiba . . . . If anything I want to see his bankai. I wonder if Engetsu is like Zangetsu. Yeah, I mean there were so many other things they could have done. You notice how during the chuunin exams, not a one of them used a substitution jutsu? I'm curious of that myself, though to be honest I feel it would be more similar to Amagai's zanpakuto, that it would be to Ichigo's.

Technically Sakura did when she was defending the boys against the sound ninjas. Of course I have to be understanding of Naruto's case at the time that Orochimaru screwed up his chakra pathways which was making it difficult for him to use techniques. But for all of Naruto's bag of tricks . . . . Really? That's the way he wins? It's just kind of one of those fights I try to pretend never happened. You very well could be right. Byakuya even noted when he first saw Ichigo's bankai that no such thing could possibly exist. But speaking of Zangetsu bankai, it feels watered down now. It was cool at first that it was specific to him. But as the arcs went on it just felt so pointless as he needed to go bankai in almost every fight. Then came the case Rukia and Renji with their small bankai. Of course they're cool, but now is everyone going to get a small bankai?

I was meaning the tournament portion of it, though now that you mention it I completely forgot about that portion of the exams. True, I mean at first Ichigo's bankai gave him advanced speed making him a formidable opponent, but the very next arc his bankai was the only way for him to keep up with even the fodder of the enemy team.

Oh yeah, but then there was really nothing to replace with in a open arena. Then again I don't quite understand completely how replacement jutsu works. Yeah, especially when he was running circles around Byakuya creating after images and such showing just how fast he was. I would even go as far as say that Ichigo became the fastest shinigami in his bankai state completely outrunning Yourichi. But by the time of the Arrancar arc, his bankai seemed either watered down or straight up pathetic. Pretty much a sad joke. But once again, I try to be understanding that veteran shinigami has had hundreds of years to truly master their bankai unlike Ichigo who had less then a week.

They could have used a panel from the floor or something, but you do have a point. It really doesn't explain how the substitution technique works. And even to this day, I would still claim that fight to be one of if not the greatest fight in all of Bleach. Even with that being the case, in a weeks time he managed to grasp his bankai enough to beat Byakuya who was one of the most powerful of the captains at the time, but then as you stated come the arrancar arc, everyone seems to have attained that kind of speed and it's just plain sad. He did have some significant power as demonstrated when he owned Yammy in their first encounter, but his zanpakuto excelled in speed and yet it's speed almost seemed to be copied by everyone and their grandma.

Hmm, I wonder how that technique would work with other ninjas. I know replacement can work with objects. But what about others? Because I wondered for example that if someone shot a technique at you then at the very last moment could a ninja theoretically use replacement with the attacker switching their positions essentially redirecting the attack? I wondered if he was watered down so that he wouldn't seem over powered by comparison to the other shinigami. I want to get back to the point where he was so fast no one could keep up with him. But with recent chapters that seems to be the case once more.

Well, it seems like it would be pointless to water him down so he isn't too powerful then give him a super power up, that he just can't use for too long. That is true though, in recent chapters Ichigo's been at that "king of the hill" position again.

Good to see Ichigo reclaim his crown as speed king to which he's going to be a beast once he reaches bankai.

I still think Kenny could wipe the floor with him though.

Zero the Crimson True, but no complaints here. Though I wonder who was crazier, Yachiru or Mashiro?
