Charizard, +40 EXP
Her speed alerted her to one of the largest Pokemon she'd seen, though, and she stopped in her tracks as a Charizard roared and landed in the pathway before her. Staring at the huge beast and its fiery tail, she stood her ground. Something about the way the Pokemon was holding itself led her to believe that this was just a big bluff. There were all kinds of Natures, after all...perhaps this Charizard was Timid and could be scared off with an impressive display.

Taking a deep breath, Freunde exposed her spines that she usually kept flattened to her body and gave an intimidating Growl. The Charizard faltered and, when Freunde charged, ready to give the large beast a Double Kick, it lifted off and flew back into the darkness from where it had come. Grinning, incredibly proud of herself, Freunde let her spines lay flat once again before she started on her way. Wow...scaring off a Charizard. Impressive, if she did say so herself.

Empty
After the Charizard 'battle', Freunde took a few minutes to rest and check her rocks and vial. The water was almost gone, and she sighed as she resigned herself to the fact that she'd have to turn around and get another bottle before coming back. If only she could find a Moonstone! She didn't consider herself ready to evolve again, but it would be nice to have once she was. Starting off again, she headed back in the direction she'd come from.

Vial of Water
Just as she was tucking the vial away, something shiny caught her eye. She approached the thing on the ground and gasped in surprise. It was another Vial of Water! She picked it up and eyed the water inside: it was not even a drop empty. Amazing! She put it with the Ice Rocks to keep it cold, not wanting it to go to waste for the time being.

Rock
Finding another rock, Freunde picked it up and inspected it. It wasn't cold like the two she had found, but she remembered the large Pokemon she had fought with a group of others, that had taken the most damage with the Rocks that had been thrown. Hanging on to it, she continued to make her way to the exit.

She hadn't gotten too far from the exit, though, before a rather spiky fellow popped from the rocks, fire and smoke hissing from his back. The Quilava growled at her, and Freunde raised her own poisonous spines in defense. This wasn't good...he looked ready to fight! She was, but with the vial of water so low, she needed to make it quick.

With a quick spin, Freunde turned away from a blast of fire and landed a few quick Double Kicks. That detered the Quilava, and with one final Scratch she knocked it out. With a snort, she stepped over the groaning Pokemon and continued on her way. Served him right.

Vial of Water
As she reached the turn again, she spotted another Vial of Water. She grinned and picked up the prize, holding it up in the light. Perfect! Now she could come back two more times without having to bother the poor shop keeper again. Tucking her prize with the others, she continued to the entrance.

Red Rock
Just at the entrance, she found one more odd-looking rock. Picking it up, she examined it and sniffed it. It was red, but didn't smell sulfurous. She tucked it with her other rocks and smiled. Today had been a very, very good day. And she could do it again! Leaving the cave, she headed back to town to go over her haul.
