Clickclickclickclik, the snap shutterburst feature sounded off as Zia darted in one last full circle around the newly re-powered up Templar before skidding to a stop in front of him.
"Excellent. I'll update the index when I get home," She grinned and shoved her phone in her back pocket. She spared one more cringing glance to the food on the ground before sighing and dramatically shrugging. "It's fine, it wasn't for me anyway and what he doesn't know can't hurt him."
Not that she wasn't absolutely intending to eat half of it or more. Plus, she did get some sort of pleasure out of feeding and coddling Chester.
She put her hands on her hips. "So how's wifey taking it?"

Camelot waited until she was finished taking pictures of him before he powered down, feeling like a bit of a celebrity, except only one person cared who he was and wanted pictures of him. Still, it was more than he had at the library, unless he was doing something stupid or he happened to be in the way while they were taking pictures of Dogby.
He powered back to his civilian self and looked at the spilled food again, wondering who was going to go hungry that evening. Inside the carnival, sitting on his couch, Chester felt a disturbance in the force, and his stomach rumbled, but he had no idea what was going on.
Tony looked back at Zia and smiled ruefully.
"Well, she's taking it as best she can. She was not too happy to find out about how it happened... but I think she sees the good in this, and will be able to put aside her worry. I can't blame her for her fretting... I know I would be the same, in her place." He shook his head and wondered how he could make things up to her, and decided a trip to Camelot, the wonder, might help. He knew Kyndall liked it there, and he did, as well.
"It's a lot to take in, all at once, if I'm honest. Between this new power and learning my son is a senshi... as well as that near brush with chaos... ah. I'm sure everything will even out soon..."

Zia heaved a sigh let her arms flop dramatically at her sides. "Sorry you almost died. You should probably stop that," She quipped offhandedly, but mentally she was being kind of flighty and thinking about tonight's attempt to spoil her friend and relative plans to concoct later.
The mention of his son made her make a face and go back and calculate. "Yeah... Alfheim said you guys had a kid," Her thoughts drifted briefly to her screaming argument with Harmony and she shuddered a bit, "but uh... I thought that was a recent addition? That's a little young to be senshi'ing it up and son rules out the greenheaded wonder. How many kids you got? Geez."
She was biting back as much vicious jealousy for the happy family situation as she could, especially since she had just recently had a fight with her own father not too long ago, but there was still a weird edge of bitterness threading through her commentary.

"Ah. No. Not our new baby, but my son, from a... another time in my life. He's an adult now, a young adult I mean. you know. Ah. Senshi age. He's an Eternal Senshi... named Chaonis. I had no idea about that, until just recently. And now he knows I am Camelot, though I hadn't meant to tell him. It was all... very complicated."
He wrinkled his nose. Chaonis still didn't know Kyndall was a knight as well, and Camelot had no idea if Harmony was powered or not, though that wouldn't surprise him now. At the end of the day, it was safer to just assume everyone he knew was powered up in some way.
It made him feel a little paranoid.
He frowned, his extended family a little complicated, but he only had the two kids. That he knew about. And he hadn't known about Nathan for most of his adult life, which was terrifying in its own right. Tony had been a bit of a wild young adult, and he wondered if any other surprises were out there, lurking.
More paranoia.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't bring up the family drama. I don't want to bog you down with that as well. Are you sure I can't help you with your dinner? Get you something more to replace the uhm..." the food she'd dropped at seeing him. He still felt guilty about that, even more so now that he had a moment to see how sad it looked on the street.

"Oh. Is he hot?" Zia teased as one corner of her mouth crept up in half of a goofy grin. Even though it was so inappropriate, but so was most of her teasing. All of the sudden a massive amount of puzzle pieces clicked together in her brain, though. "Oh! He's--! He's that guy! The guy Maia and Ida are always hanging on! I know that guy!"
She had never spoken to him, but she knew him. He was a background figure and a boy she teased her friends about when they talked about him, but still. The discovery of how they all interlinked got her excited enough she was jumping on the heels of her feet again.
She did stop and make a face about his apologizing for the family drama, and then grimace to the side with a head tilt. She knew she sounded bitter, this was a thing she was aware of, but she still felt bad when it was picked up on.
"No, it's fine. It's not your family that bogs me down, it's mine," She said flippantly with a shrug. Almost on cue, her phonedinged with a new text from Caroline she didn't even open. She just looked at the sender on the lock screen preview and put the device back in her pocket with a 'tsk'. "Sorry, the whole mom dad and happy happy kids thing isn't a concept I'm doing too good with. Caroline's trying to patch things up and my dad... just got remarried. So. S'kind of a weird subject for me," She said and left it at that before she glanced down at the food.
"Well if you really wanna buy me dinner, I won't argue," She forced a smile and pointed in a direction down the sidewalk. "I think I saw a place down this way."

Tony watched her and nodded his head.
He knew all about family troubles. His was far from the happy family it looked like. Harmony was moving out and Nathan was ridiculously angry at him all the time. Maybe less so now that their secrets were out, but neither had spoken to the other about it just yet. What was there to say? Tony had nearly died, and so had Nathan. At least now his son knew how far he was willing to go to defend him, but...
Maybe some day they would talk about it. For now, it was too fresh. Their broken bones might have to heal before they really sat down and discussed everything.
"I can understand that. I won't bring it up too much, or try to make you feel uncomfortable."
He chuckled and followed after her, letting her lead the way to get new food, since he wasn't too familiar with the area. He was glad to have a friend to relax with, after everything, and was actually looking forward to the meal, and to unwinding at home afterwards. It had been fortuitous, running into her, and he was glad for that.
Even if he did have to buy her dinner now, it was money well spent.
