Wyatt growled softly, a mix off intimidation, and being irritated at being in this situation. This guy didn't seem like any big-time murderer. His weight leaned more firmly to keep the male on the ground, waiting to see what else was brought out of the guy. Healing... There had to be more, right?

"You must be getting your potions mixed up, pal," Gabriel said with a snort. "You've been handing out naga poison. That's not exactly used to relieve your everyday sniffles or belly aches." He crossed his arms and growled as well. "Don't think the little girl act is going to make things any easier for you."

Pirimus felt as if his heart was going to burst inside of his chest. Surely it couldn't beat that hard, that fast without having something ill come of it? When he heard the guy holding him growl he felt as tall as a newborn kit. "I make naga anti-venom. Antidotes! I own venom, yes, but that's only to figure out how to counteract it..."

Pirimus felt his hair being pulled and soon his whole head was being lifted by the shock of blonde hair. Now he could clearly see Quintessa, as she held him by the air, and crouched down near him. "Why don't you start crying, really milk it while you're at it? Poisons, anti-venom.." She clucked her tongue. "If you're going to start lying, you'll need something a little stronger than that."

Wyatt pressed his lips, doubt tickling the back of his mind. Some men could do desperate things, but this guy... he seemed too soft for such a nefarious act. "What do you do with the poisons when you're done with them? How do you even acquire them?"

"I'll tell ya how!" Gabriel announced with a snort. "He sells them to the local scum, doesn't he? Those antidotes would come in nice and handy when a sudden outbreak of naga venom attacks rises. Make a tidy profit, won't yeah?"

The shadow in the bushes grinned at the green fox's theory. Good... Made perfect sense.

Quintesaa curled her lip and straightened. "Help me get him into the woods, and I'll gag him. This is going to be a long enough trip without having to listen to him the whole way."

Desperately, Pirimus ignored the female for the most part and turned to Wyatt as best he could. "Willing donors. I get them from willing donors, and I have a list back at the office-" He grunted, trying his best to move, and with a groan he almost buried his head back in the dirt. Now the cats mate was on his case, too?! Was there no justice in the world?!

Quintessa clucked her tongue and smiled, giving her mate an appreciative glance. "I hadn't thought of that, Gabriel, good call. It would make sense for a business man like yourself to gain a little from a quick change, wouldn't it?"

"Would you listen to yourselves!" Pirimus snapped, his voice reverberating around him. "Unplug your ears and please, just listen to me! I wouldn't...I couldn't think of hurting...what kind of monster do you think I am?!"

Wyatt perked his ears. "Trip? What do you mean, trip?" He looked at his brother, and back to the assassin. "Are you... taking him to that place?"

Ready to help with the tying up of the wimpy little feline, his ears perked at Wyatt's question. "That... place?" He looked over to his mate, and smiled bashfully. "So, how do you feel about bonding with your new brother?"

Wyatt growled. "As if I'd go there!" he shot back before turning to Quintessa again. "I just mean... he's going to get a chance to stand in front of your boss, and plead his case, right?"

"Well, I'm not taking him home for tea." Quintessa quipped drily. She dug around in the satchel she'd managed to pack this time, and brought out couple pre-cut lengths of rope. "His body has to go before a validator to make sure everything checks out, and then he'll be executed. I would do it myself, but this case is trickier, so it needs-" She stretched the rope between her arms and gave it a tug. "-delicate hands."

Pirimus paled at the thought. He couldn't see it, but he heard the sound of rope being tossed and figured she was sharing the wealth with her mate. How fitting, yes, enjoy the happy couple's together time by tying up the unworthy!

"Yes, please, let me do that. I'm fine with that; I'll go anywhere, so long as I'm given a fair chance." Anyone had to be better to talk to than these...these..heathens!

Gabriel whined heavily, catching a bit of rope. "Fine, but I'm not stepping a single little toe out of the boat when we get there."

Wyatt felt himself relax a little, and backed off the pressure on the pinned feline a small bit, pulling Pirimus to stand and be tied easier. "Don't worry, Gabriel. You can sit by yourself and guard the boat while Quintessa and I take this guy where he needs to go."

Gabriel frowned at that thought. "We'll... just figure things out when it comes to that, shall we?"

"It can't come to that!" The naga in the shadows had had enough of this. "Female! You were supposed to kill him on sight! What is this giving him a chance crap?!" He darted out of the bushes, and pulled himself high. "He is out there defiling true naga by taking their venom. Our venom! No more!" The naga hissed and charged at Pirimus. "I will end your twisted lies! You will not trick my kin out of their venom again!" He threw himself forward, his mouth opening wide to inject the very venom into Pirimus that the feline had been researching. He was too surprised to react when the tan foxtaur pushed his target out of the way, hearing the stranger holler as his fangs sank into Wyatt's shoulder.

"Terry misses you, though!" Even with a little bit of a laugh, Quintessa couldn't honestly say she was lying. The massive cattaur had asked about Gabriel and her kids often. The Assassin moved down for Pirimisus' forepaws, grabbing hold of his ankle to hold him down as she looped it around the soft white fur, leaving his torso for Gabriel. It wouldn't be impossible for him to walk, but it would make him unable to run.

Pirimus' heart slowed when he saw the naga, feeling an instant connection with the beast that would have seen him dead. So many of his dear friends were part of their kin, so why was this one looking at him so contemptuously?! "I'm not defiling anyone! I'm giving them a chance!" He shouted, lunging forward in his hold.

Quintessa barely had time to curse, let alone grab her weapon. This was bad, really bad! Instead, she wrenched the very rope she had just loosely wrapped around his paws away and screamed, "Run-!", even though she was sent flying on her back when he was flung at her. "Oomph!"

Watching as the female moved away from him, Pirimus rolled to his paws, shell shocked by the whole ordeal. The tan one...saved him?

"Gabriel, my spear!" It was closer to him than her, so better he use it! Quintessa on the other hand revved up her magic and sent a bolt of lighting straight for the naga's heart, aiming as best she could given her position.

"I don't miss him," Gabriel pouted. Any sinking feeling from the thought of that dreadful island was pushed to the side though as the naga emerged, and sank even further as the scene unfolded. "Wyatt!" A string of curses flew out of him, and only Quintessa's yell kept him from charging face-first at the naga. He bent to grab the spear, and cocked his arm back- ..but he didn't trust his throw with the naga clinging to his brother...

Hissing furiously, the naga bit down harder to make a point, satisfied by the new scream he'd caused. This guy wanted to save filth like the white cattaur? Fine. One less piece of scum to worry about..

The shock made the naga spasm, hollering angrily as his jaw relaxed enough to let the fox slip out. Whipping around, he hissed again and charged at the female. There was a sharp pain suddenly, and he didn't know how he'd ended up face down in the dirt, unable to move. He couldn't move...

Gabriel had charged the moment Wyatt was free, hefting the spear with all his might into the naga's back. It tore through the male's spine, and pinned him to the ground. "Don't touch my wife, snake," he spat furiously, standing on top of the naga to keep him in place.

Beyond, Wyatt had a hand pressed over the deep punctures of his shoulder. Already though, he could feel the tightening in his chest, and he couldn't do much with his arm...

Quintessa felt a strong panic gripping in her veins with every scream coming from Wyatt. She felt her body tensing for a pounced, claws digging into the earth and arms loaded for a punch, when the naga dropped before her. The fact that Gabriel held him pinned gave her enough incentive to let loose her rolling rage. Quintessa moved swiftly to the naga, dug her claws into his throat, grabbed his head in both hands and wrenched it around with all of her strength, snapping through bone and nerves.

Pirimus wasted no time in moving to Wyatt's side. Moving his forepaws around the fox, he pulled the other male as best as he could up onto his lap. "Breathe steadily in through your nose and out your mouth, okay? Keep your heart rate as regular as you can." It was important that he note panic and cause his blood rate to accelerate. That would only send the toxins through him all the faster.

Even though he couldn't stop his hands from shaking, Pirimus' training went into over drive. "Punctures...slight skin discoloration, deepening..." He murmured, assessing the situation as best he could. "You! One of you! Go to my shop as fast as you can, I have a sign, you'll be able to see it and get the orange vial on the top shelf behind the counter. It's in a curved bottle."

He couldn't chance moving Wyatt now...Instead, Pirimus wrapped his arms around the male, placing his one open palm above Wyatt's heart on the front side of his chest, the other twisted to channel it on the other side. As soon as contact was made he began channeling; first starting as a slow leek of green aura, and then as a stronger magic that would work in place of the anti-venom they needed.

It had happened so fast. Gabriel turned back when the naga was dead, and his stomach sank even further. Wyatt looked so pale. He gave Quintessa a desperate look. He didn't have anything on him to help... No herbs. No tonics. No nothing!

His ears perked as the white feline took control, ordering them to fetch something from the shop. He wanted to object, but even he knew that while Wyatt had been in the naga's clutches for only a moment, it was long enough for a fair amount of poison to have settled in. Without a word, he spun and darted into the trees. 'Hang on, Wyatt...'

Well, with his body going numb, he couldn't quite feel the pain anymore. Wyatt almost laughed. He supposed that was a good thing. Count your blessings, after all! All the numbing though couldn't mask what he could feel happening. He wasn't getting enough air... His vision was getting fuzzy... "Mom's gonna kill me," he muttered thickly, losing focus on his current situation. The warmth in his chest was comforting, but it could only do so much as his skin began to prickle with a sharper heat from the poison.

Quintessa was lost. For the second time in her life she felt as if the ground had been taken out from underneath her. Had she been wrong about a mark, twice? And now Wyatt might pay the ultimate price for her mistake. Just seeing Gabriel's face put a shake in her hands.

At least Pirimus had his mind in the right place, but looking at him made her numb. He was already covered in a fine sheen of sweat, working as hard as he could to save her brother. "What can I do?" Quintessa moved to sit closer to the two males.

"Talk to him, keep him awake..." Pirimus grunted. The venom was already working on Wyatt's lungs, and the amount of magic was continuously upped in order to keep his internal organs from shutting down.

Tessa grabbed Wyatt's hand and gave it a squeeze, reaching forward to cup his chin with her hand. "She'll rant and rave for days, I'm sure," She teased weakly. "As soon as you're better you'll have to take another healing just to get through it. "What's your mom's name, Wyatt? What does she look like? You...you know how my memory is." Keep him talking, keep him talking...Hurry, Gabriel.

Gabriel flew through the woods, everything blurring as he passed it all by. Thankfully, the time of night meant the roads were mostly clear. A few taur tried to call out and ask what was going on that had the foxtaur in such a tizzy, but he didn't even glance at them.

....He had no idea where the bloody shop was! Snapping his question at a concerned bystander, he bolted again as soon as a wary finger pointed down the road. There it was! He reached for the door, not even bothering to check if it was locked. The whole door came off the hinges with his momentum, and he barely even noticed the sting of the impact. "Orange vial.. Orange vial.. Top.. Toptoptoptoptoptoptop..." He forced himself to pause and take a breath. He was about to panic... There! Clearing the counter as he climbed over it, he grabbed the precious vial and spun back out. A few taur were checking out the broken door, yelling about a thief as he sped toward the woods.

Wyatt's gaze shifted in and out of focus as he tried to look at Quintessa. The corner of his lip twitched into a small smile. "Yeah..." Blinking with confusion, it took him quite a while to remember the answers to her questions, and then an extra moment to figure out how to talk with such a thick feeling throat. "Mom... is Mersi. She..." he blanked again, blinking a few times to get his thought back. He grit his teeth as the prickling under his skin turned into a burning. "Green. Like grandma... Like Gabriel." His breathing got heavier, sweat coating his skin as the burn spread and grew hotter. "Fire.." he panted out, starting to gasp and cringe from the growing pain.

Gabriel had never run so fast in his entire life. By the time he got back, Wyatt could hardly sit still from the invisible flames under his skin. "Here! Here!" He yelled, skidding to a halt and nearly passing them by. His eyes widened at the sight of his brother, and he reached out to put his hand over Quintessa's, which was holding Wyatt's, and gripped it tight. "How quick will that stuff start helping him?" he panted out, his exertion from the run mixing with his fear.
PostPosted: Sat Jan 18, 2014 9:09 pm

"Yeah, that's it, her name's Mersi." She tapped his cheek lightly, then a little firmer and rubbed his cheek with her thumb. Quintessa gave his hand a squeeze as she spoke, "Wyatt? Wyatt, hang on, I know it hurts..." But what? She was no healer, and the healer they had was doing all he could at the moment.

Pirimus poured all of his strength into Wyatt, pushing past his own barriers with painful grunts, and sharp exhales of his own. He was fighting to keep his heart from shutting down, so most of his magic was being pulled away from keeping him comfortable. This venom was a Hemotoxin that would induce blood coagulation, leading to a destruction of him from the inside out. He couldn't let that happen! However, as much as Pirimus struggled, he was loosing his hold. He needed more time, more strength...

By the time Gabriel got back Quintessa was trying her best to hold Wyatt down while Pirimus administered first aid. She turned her head to look up at her mate for only a second, but returning to the situation at hand.

"Soon...soon..." Pirimus gasped, closing his eyes and pressing his forehead against Wyatt's hair despite the trashing. "Make it him drink, fast!"

He wanted the pain to stop! Why was it lasting so long?! Why wasn't he burned to death already?! Everything hurt now... Wyatt could only vaguely hear the voices around him, the hands pressing against him making the pain worse. Just make it stop! He couldn't even pull in enough air to scream his frustration out..

Gabriel was frozen a moment. Wyatt was the stable one. Wyatt was the one who kept calm in tight situations. Not him! Grinding his teeth, he leaned forward and put all his weight onto his brother, wincing as the writhing clearly increased. "Come on..." He could feel how fast the heart under him was racing now, and he pinched Wyatt's jaw open to force the drink down. "Drink it, Wyatt! You gotta drink it!" he yelled, trying to break his voice through the fever keeping him from his brother...

Seeing that more of the liquid went into Wyatt than was shaken out from the tremors, he squeezed his eyes shut and dropped his head to rest it on Wyatt's chest. He remained where he was though, trying to prevent Wyatt from accidentally hurting one of the others or himself.
