Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' "...Mr.... McArthur?" Seig had to think for a second before understanding what had happened. "Ah, no, but you're in the right place." Seig politely took the file from her and quickly looked it over. The secretaries had made a mistake upstairs and refered to the office as being McArthur's... no surprise Seig, was on probation for a month. Seig dug through the thick file and came to his section and replaced McArthur's with his own file on top. "My name is Seig McAndrew... Seig. McArthur was my previous partner." The thoughts brought a solemness to Seig. McArthur, was a good agent. He was the agent that possessed the schema that the department was looking for in agents. Had he continued down the normal path and not become involved with Seig and the paranormal investigations department, he may have made brass. Seig felt responsible for actions in the previous case which cause mental distress to the point of job loss for a partner, not a small matter... The issue was reported in his file, as was his month long probation, but not that it ended a mear 45 minutes ago.
Seig stood aside and with a half smile motioned to the room and for the newcomer to enter. "Please come in. Mrs...? "

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice made her way into the room, her heels oddly quite as she moved until she turned and extended a pale slender hand, "Alice Machiel, at your service, I am newly assigned to this unit and I look forward to working with you." Even her hands gave off a sense of care, her nails were clean and cut short, but just long enough to particularly good at leafing and peeling, no polish adorned them, but a healthy pink gave them an almost professional look despite their clearly practical care. Her hand would be drawrfed easily by his, her palm small with long slender fingers, which gave the impression of a very small hand while still being very dexterous, her mother had called them 'piano hands'.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' This is wrong. This is so so wrong. She doesn't even phase to my pizza incident. She's emaculatly polished for a field agent. She doesn't skip a beat. How? How was she allowed this position? Seig had burned through 7 partners in 4 years, all of them good agents. Someone had to have had it out for her if she was placed here. This puzzle peice did not fit into the perspective without being forced into place.... or at least it seemed. Seig's mind calculated her actions behind his blue eyes, his face never told the tale. He felt sorry for her and almost guilty for not simply sending her on her way back out of the office, someone would have gladly taken her on a more practical, founded task force.
He gave her hand a firm, friendly shake... as friendly as he could make it. "Nice to meet you Alice." He would let her settle in, although she carried nothing with her into the office, perhaps someone from the mailroom was running the errand for her and going to bring down her things latter. "If you don't mind me being frank..." Seig made his way to his office chair behind his desk. "Why?" She could take that as anything, and Seig was eager to know anything she was willing to give him. Why the look? Why the precision grooming? Why this department? Why him? Hell why the FBI? With a body like hers, and charming personality she would be better suited for a better life then that of a field agent. Indeed... why. Why was the only thing Seig could come up with asking Alice.

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice felt her lips twitch slightly and raised one brow in question, "Why?" She asked, repeating his question as if the question itself puzzled her, "Well I said I was looking forward to working with you because you are a man of sense and education, who has a vast amount of expierence in his field." She settled herself on the edge of the empty desk, and without glancing at the contents of the box who remained on the desk she crossed one leg over the other, "As for the job in general, research and cataloging has always been a speciality of mine, and when I applied they looked at my history and asked me where I would like to work, and I said the place with the most chaos." She folded her hands in her lap, "I can't bear to be idle, and apparently they thought this unit would best suit those criteria." She smiled faintly, it was a bit of a brazen reply, but since he had bothered to ask she offered him the truth.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' Seig smirked while thinking about what she had said, he eventually let out a small laugh. A secretary? Seig has a moment for some reason of a warm spring day in the car down a country road after a long grey winter. The whole thing seemed like something 'right'. Like he had hit a point in time that a push pine would enter the thread pinning the strings of his life in place. "If you wanted chaos you came to the right place. Do me a favor though and hold off on cataloging the closet." Seig poured himself another cup of coffee, and then took the second mug and filled her a cup and slid it to her across her desk. A warm smile accross his face.
"We have orders to be in New York before the night is over. In my rush to clean things we have to find as many files as we can find relating to anything known about The Guild of the Silver Lotus, or paranormal 'creature' based phenomina in New York." Seig moved back to his desk and began digging through the files. "Welcome to the team Alice."

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice nibbled her lower lip a moment before whipping out a cell phone from her pocket and slipping a stylus from it's holder, a few quick taps on the screen had her message entered and sent, "Since I assume we will be heading by car, or they would likely have included the plane tickets in my interary, I suggest we get all of this boxed up and we can sort it on the drive..." She said looking up at Seig, "I'll head over to the main office and see if we can steal any of their boxes, and we can get it sorted on the way." A quick thought crossed her mind and few more taps and clicks were laid down on the phone's surface until at last she seemed satisfied, Eric would be here in an hour or so, and from there they could leave without much else to worry about. "Alright, I've handled the transportation, and I'll go see about getting those boxes so we don't leave anything behind." She smiled and headed out and down the hall.
Alice returned sometime later with a large pile of deconstruced boxes and a roll of packing tape, "Apparently they had already broken the boxes down." Alice said with a slight grimace as she tried to balance the ungainly bundle and tap the door shut with her foot, all the while balancing on heels. While in the office she had also taken the time to cancel the company car, which would have had far too little space, and arranged for a rental car to be waiting for them in New York, as well as making sure their hotel arrangements were already set and recording the information on her phone.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace. Texts Sent Message 1 .:*:. A text to her 'handyman' (an on call mechanic/driver/attendent/house sitter etc.) to pick up a limo service she frequents, meet her at [the address] in an hour. Message 2 .:*:. Special notes to the driver, pick up some 'lunch' on the way over as well [details included for her favorite resturant] as stopping by the stationary store and picking up a few filing boxes [linked img and UPC from the store's website].
Notes on Eric, the handman: *He is available only in her home city. *He is paid a flat wage to be on call, and additonal for additional services rendered. *Once Alice is dropped off he will be taking the limo back and house sitting for her while she is away.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' Seig continued to dig up old files on anything relevent working furiously and in his own world. Opening the manilla folders and taking a quick look at the intro to remember what was in the files. He had read everything in the cabinents, but some still remained fuzzy as to all of what was in the reports. He just tossed the fuzzy memory ones into a pile to take. "There's no reason to fly, New York isn't that far away." He kept digging in his own little world. Arranged our transportation? What? We have full size sudans in the garage.. Eh... Seig kept working as Alice walked out of the room and off down the hall. He took the time to move to his closet and begin sorting out gear he would rather keep Alice from knowing about.
He grabbed a duffle bag, and through any clothes he could find that weren't stained or didnt smell to bad. He then grabbed the Ithica 870, with a foreward grip on the pump, and attached surefire light, he had the stock removed, and the barrel shortened, attached also was a sling with shell holders, all empty and to be filled latter. He threw the gun into the bag laying it on top. Next came the smaller, old WWII ammo can he kept his homemade shotgun rounds, standard slugs, buckshot, and cleaning kit in. Footsteps began to echo down the hallway announcing Alice's return, he did a quick check of his personal effects and zipped the bag shut, placing it on his desk. Alice walked in the door carrying the boxes and tape. He grabbed the door and closed it for Alice afraid she would fall in the shoes she was wearing.
He then took the boxes and started packing the files away. After it was all said and done he began moving to the door three boxes in his hands, and the dufflebag over his shoulders. He only left one, the smallest, box for Alice. He wouldn't be ready for the Limo, he had never been in anything so elegant. How Alice was making so much money he would never know, his paycheck didn't seem to amount to anything, then again he spent a lot of money on contacts, sources, books, and modifications such as the homemade shotgun rounds. He hadn't checked his bank account in months, he figured he had quite the savings but never cared to look. Of course Seig had also doned a long charcoal grey jacket, and tucked his 226 Sidearm into his belt along with the two spare magazines. He didn't really know where he was going. He had no idea where the ride was coming from he let Alice guide from the rear. "So... A ride? I guess this is a bad time to state that I don't drive stick all that well. Where am I going?"

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice smiled at the smallest box left for her, "If you don't mind a stop at mu house so I can pick up some personal effects, or if you do we can just drive on and I can pick things up in New York." Taking a moment to take a few quick steps that put her in the lead she tucked her box against her hip and pushed the front door open, to reveal the long black car, with it's tinted windows idling by the front steps, "I thought things might be easier if neither of us drove, then you can keep your hands free to sort and I can try to catch up on what you already have for me." She made her way down the stairs and opened the door to the car, the ceiling was a little low, so crouching was nessisary, but bending at the waist one would only have to lean about half way forward to walk inside the car. Leather seats apolstered either side of the back seat, only about a yard apart, which was small for the standard limo but workable for it's current purpose. Sitting on the far seat was a dozen covered dishes and a few sealed containers, as well as a case of water bottles still sealed. Further down the seat were a stack of file folders and labels as well as filing boxes stacked five deep and covering the remainder of the seat.
Alice slipped in and settled her box on the empty 'bench' set at the rear of the car before slipping off her shoes and setting them aside. "Let me help you with those..." She said extending her arms to relieve him of some of his boxes, so that his much taller frame could more easily enter the vehicle.
Once they were both settled Alice rose and made her way to the far seat to grab a filing box, brining it back she set it on the seat between them and motioned to the latch which was of an odd design. She flicked the top half of the latch and the lid of the box pivoted at it's hinge at the back of the box, resecuring the latch she flipped the lower section and the front panel of the filing cabinet opened and the whole file tray slid forward on slim tracks, "You can stack them like a filing cabinet or carry them around as individual cases." Alice explained, "I use the same type at home." She decided to wait for his answer before springing her finaly suprise of the trip, lunch, on him.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' "Stopping by your house is no issue." He shuffled his hold on the boxes, and rolled his shoulder to keep his bag from sliding down his arm.
Seig peered and navigated through the door with his small view of the world from the side of the boxes in his hands, but he could have swore the car she was talking about was a limo for someone of high importance contacting the FBI for some kind of kidnapping case, or protection services, there was no way that this was their.... he watched her open the door and fought all the urge to say something about how we can't steal a limo, until he realized she was serious. He was still stunned as Alice grabbed a couple of the boxes making it much easier for him to get in. He couldn't help, but take a look around, looking for cameras or something as if this was a prank, all he saw were the stunned faces of other agents.
One of the Agents Seig knew from around the office, his face screamed how the hell did you? Seig could only make eye contact and shrug as he tossed his duffle bag into the car and ducked into the interior. He had never been in a limo before. He was still looking around at the interior as he sat down. This, was like a first class plan ride on the road. In the back of his mind he worried about not being in control of the vehicle. DC traffic could be brutal, and the drivers were nuts, the last thing he needed was to get hit in a limo. He shook his head slowly. "How... in the world... Is this a prank?" He ignored her use of organization, not to be mean, but what world was he in? That and Seig often found organization to be slow, and he could never find anything he needed, but he would work. He would figure out some kind of way to catagorize the boxes of files, but right now he was in the twilight zone and felt very lost.

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice sighed and padded across to bring over a few covered dishes and a set of plastic silverware, balancing it on one hand she reached beside her seat to pull up a tray, that was hinged so that shen she lifted it completely out of the slot all she had to do was rotate it and it settled itself into place as a tray, a small distance from the edge of the bench so someone could sit and use it quite comfortably. "There's a tray on your side too." Alice said as she settled a few dishes before her and offered him a few as well as a set of plastic-ware, she ignored his question for a moment instead opening her dish of tabuli and another of subji from her favorite indian resteraunt. She had grabbed the tandori chicken and some saffron rice for him, hoping he might enjoy the simplier fare, "My father was an artist, mostly big in Europe, and his house, that I inherited now doubles as a museum and the center of for his work and the information center for the validation and curation of his pieces world-wide." She shrugged and dug into her subji, chewing and swallowing before waving absently with her fork, "The car is funded by the trust that cares for the museum side of the house, and I thought it might be useful to have both of us with our hands free."Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' Seig realized he might have been rude. Alice was not a normal agent. She raised the bar on the normal, hopefully she would understand and forgive his bewilderment at the issues at hand. He copied her motions and pulled out his tray and smiled as he took the chicken and rice happy to eat something alittle more nutrient centered then pizza and burgers for the first time in a couple of weeks. Alice was going to be a new kind of partner for sure. "I see, I apologize.I appreciate the thought." Seig smiled, "It's not everyday that someone like me gets a limo ride with good company."
He took some more bites of the food she had offered him. "I'll save the bulk of the information until after we pick up your things, but the Silver Lotus is no joke, but is there anything you have questions about in general?"

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice shook her head, "No offense taken..." she gave a small half smile, "I didn't realize it would be that far out of the norm." She said continueing her meal until she heard the smooth shift of the engine to idle, the only sign they had stopped moving, "I'll be right back." Alice rose smoothing her skirt back down as she did, in one fluid motion before slipping into her shoes and hopping out of the car. Once inside the door Alice slipped off her shoes and left them by the door, and opted to skip the house slippers, it saved on the cleaning to have a shoeless household. Alice popped into her bedroom and pulled the suitcases from under the bed before transfering folded clothing from her drawers into the cases, a dozen changes of formal tops and semi-formal business suits went in, as well as a few pairs of workout outfits and a handful of casual clothes; after an abesent minded moment Alice threw in a few pairs of pajamas. Two heavy coats, one formal the other casual and a long black dress were tossed in a dress bag and laid out on the bed beside the sealed suitcase and the smaller, still empty one. Into the empty suicase was tossed her makeup kit, a small box of simple and tasteful jewelry, should she need it, her two gun kits, extra ammunition, as well as a pair of extra holsters. Nibbling her lower lips Alice hesitated only a second before grabbing the protable gun case with it's additional lock, the hotel they would be staying at had a safe, but Alice rarely trusted that her key was the only one the hotel had. Finally tossing a pair of heels, two pairs of boots, a pair of tennis shoes and some more casual flats into the final case, with the little room remaining Alice headed into her bathroom and tossed her tolietries into a carry case and grabbed the small brown bear from her bedside and tucked them both into the now stuffed smaller case. Alice took a moment to clip minature locks on each suitcase, it would not stop a determined theif, but it was a fair deterent for a more casual light fingers. Alice was about to try and gather both cases when Eric cleared his throat from where he stood at the open door, Alice smiled and offered him the larger suit case, while she took the smaller case and the dress bag. Once they left the house Eric took the other bag as well and tucked it all into the trunk while Alice got back into the car and settled herself once more beside Seig, "Honestly I barely even got the bones of the assignment, the Agent explaining it to me, seemed hesitant to speak in detail..."Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Alice's Personal Limo, En Route to New York Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' Seig waited for her to gather her things when they arrived at her house. There would be plenty of time to speak of the information she needed on the way to New York.
Seig jumped right in as she got settled. "Unofficially you are now part of the operational continueings of Project Blue Book, which started as a project under the wing of the United States AirForce to record UFO sightings, and other strange phenomina normally dealing with the sky. The project was eventually shutdown, although when it became fully operational under the FBI's watch I can't find a file on. Some of my case files far extend the life of anything that Project Blue Book would have had access to. Unofficially you are now a member of the 'men in black'. Congradulations, but we are nothing like the movies. Most of the department, everyone one floor up from me is tasked with looking into UFO phenomina, though no one will ever say that aliens exsist. Turns out that most of the UFO sightings is real, but they are normally top secret aircraft from our own government, or other government agencies. Spy aircraft, sometimes it's other things as well, such as satalites and the like. You aren't assigned to that task. Somewhere in 1986 the 'men in black' allowed a subforce to look into events regarding the paranormal. Ghost, werewolves, Jersey Devil, Vampires, and the like. That's where you come in. We are under funded, and are suppossed to exsist even deeper then the UFO division of the branch." Seig stopped himself and let the information sink in. He might have rushed things a bit. "Any questions so far?"

Alice, Alice, trying to find Wonderland. Alice's eyebrows shot up, before slowly working their way back down her brow once she realized he was serious she mulled it over and having already decided the man wasn't insane she had only two questions, "First, Do you believe all of this is real?" She asked her eyes searching him to confirm the truth of his words, "Because if you believe, I will take it on faith until I find some proof of my own. And secondly, please tell me the 'men in black' is simply referential I don't really have any desire to get a whole new wardrobe." The comment while flippant was sincere and she hoped if there was some modification to her daily-ware now would be a time for him to mention it.Trying to find a place where her Nightmare walk from her dreams into reality so that she can sleep in peace.

Seig McAndrew FBI Agent Washington DC Main FBI Office Personal Office Company: Alice 'I don't want the world to see me. Cause I don't think they'd understand...' Seig smiled. "No. The phrase 'Men in Black' was simply adorned by newspapers to give FBI agents who showed up at odd phenomina a name. Our agency simply adopted it. No worries on your wardrobe. As for if this is all real..." Seig searched his mind for the best way to put a phenomina that someone truely had to see to even kind of play along with the idea, but no stories came to mind. No gut wretching tale found in the files.
"I believe the science of the Paranormal. I believe there are things out there that are not of the normal scientific ideaology of the world. I do not know if the names we have given them in legend, their weaknesses, or main drives are the ones that they keep in real life. I know what I have seen. I also know that in time, like all of my partners you will be forced to believe, or to walk away from all of this and check yourself into a psych ward." His eyes had met hers, and his tone was flat serious. While he liked speaking of the past of the agency, this was the darker aspect of the job. The nitty gritty... and the part that in his mind he hoped she had secrets for, because these things could tear you apart, and he didn't want to see that again. He never wanted to hear the screams in a moonless night again.
"This assignment is for us to fish out known sects in the US namely the Guild of the Silver Lotus in New York to find out information of possible strengths of the residents of the Island of Atlantis. While news agency have yet to really get hold of anything solid. Military traffic is reporting not a land of science as we once thought Atlantis had to be, but a land of actual monsters and magic. It also helps that most of New York is being convinced to evacuate under warnings of possible hazardous weather conditions with the Rise of Atlantis 277 miles off the coast of the Eastern US."
