She ignored Shen's possessive grumbling, like with Graff this didn't mean anything. It was simply so Industry did not fall and injure himself. "One of the areas I haven't had a look at isn't too far away. It was where I was headed when I heard you cursing at the generator." Once Isambard seemed to be settled she revved the bike and took off, reminding herself that she should not hit break neck speed right away given she was not alone. "So, did you have any other projects on the go besides providing power to this place?" Without power some things were far more difficult to do but there were ways around that particular roadblock occasionally.

Did he have more projects? That was a loaded question. He always had projects, Industry was never idle. "Yes, many. The tenaments are still being constructed, there is plumbing the homes will need water supplies, the sewers are also being completed, municiple buildings and of course the new forge, that is an important project. I am looking into the possibilities of a mill or two too."

"Sounds like you will have this town going properly in no time at all." At least in the grand scheme of things. "It will help make jobs too and help stem what disorder is left." There were still people who were homeless, others stole to survive...she had seen it happen more than once. It would give them back some sense of normality even if it wasn't the same. " Ahh...here we are." She brought the bike to a stop in front of an area that might have once been storage units for nearby housing that hadn't been habitable in a long time. "You can pick the spot to start, I have to grab a few tools." Mostly things to cut locks, screwdrivers and a box cutter.

Of course he would. Many hands made light work and all that jazz. The plan was to make jobs indeed, give people worth, kickstart civilisation again. Once they had shelter and food, they would want better food, more clothes, better houses, better jobs. Mortals were never satisfied and their hunger fed that of the gods.
Isambard climbed off the motorbike as it stopped and surveyed the area. "Nice." he said with a small smile. "Very nice." His main plan would be to see what there was, surveylance, then he could bring people there to scavange and bring back what was useful. "We'll start closest to us I think." he walked over to one of the units and tried the door, it practically fell off its hinges. "Well, that was easy."

"Well, so much for needing the bolt cutters." Sometimes the door hinges and lock survived well enough to be a pain in the a**, sometimes not. The cutters went back into one of many pants pockets and she headed into the unit. "Mostly boxes, on top at least. Usually the more useful things, for us anyway, end up on the bottom in the back." Which meant they would have to dig through boxes anyway, so might as well have a looksie while they were getting them out of the way. She slid the first couple over and opened one. "Destroyed clothes." Nothing useful there, except maybe to cut up for rags. "This was probably a family storage from the looks of things, some of these are small. Like children's clothes." Which meant, and she had learned this from experience, a lot of these boxes would probably be toys.

"I'm sure they will have some use to someone." he said as he lifed a box of clothes out of the way to reach what was below it. "What's the phrase? One man's trash is another's treasure?" He opened the box below, as she had predicted it was full of toys. Isambard reached in and pulled a couple out. "These have working parts, may be useful for fine machinery. Or perhaps someone could fix them and sell them on."

"Set the boxes with anything useful to one side and the rest to the other then?" Might as well be efficient. That way neither one of them checked the same boxes again by accident. She slid the mostly useless box to an out of the way corner and opened the next. "More toys. These seem to be in pretty good shape given the circumstances." Like the ones Isambard had found someone could probably make use of these one way or another.

Isambard lifted one of the boxes with useful things and placed it to the left to start a useful pile. "I'm going to get a gang over here once I return to the town. Get them to take some of it back." He put his hands on his hips and stared at the other units to see if they might be equally as damaged. "There's plenty of metal here. Cold be melted down and made use of." Great use, machines were more often than not built with metal. "Copper, that would be something to look for. Copper for wires."

She nodded in agreement. That would certainly make the hauling go quicker. "I haven't come across a lot of copper, but I will keep an eye out." What little she had seen was already crafted into pipes and the like. Ekita had traded it away to craftsmen who had a use for it. "Once we're through with this unit did you want to sort through a couple of others before going back?" midnight_medea ((Starting to head toward wrapping up?))

Isambard gave a nod. "Yes, if we do a few others at random it will give us a fair idea of the resources hidden here." He would need more than a few toys to entice others out to collect it all up. It would have to be organised too, he didn't want a free for all. "I'll take that one over there. Number ten, it's a nice even number." he said with a smile before strolling over to get to work.
