"Maybe in a little bit, Tiffan." She had always felt her magic lacked something... a certain style or power that came to other wages with ease. Her mother had said she needed to find her specialty and yet, here it was: wind, and she was still bad at it. With a bit of strain showing around the corners of her lips, Virali smiled at the little excito. She was so cute! "I wonder why Knotwood hates Plagues so..." she murmured absently. A stray lock of brown hair twisted around her fingers as she watched Tiffan, the habits of an incessant need to always be somewhat in motion. Any traces of unease vanished, and she looked up at Terrowin, flashing him a dazzling and flirtatious smile.
"How long are you planning on staying in Freykeep, Terrowin? Does he live with you?" The last question was directed at Mylle, in an effort to be less exclusionary in their conversation. If Terrowin stayed long enough, perhaps they could travel together for a bit, a small bit. Virali did not do permanent traveling companions. Ever.

Well, don't they say practice makes perfect? And what better way to practice than to make a Plague fly around? Tiffan huffed slightly before perching on the end of the staff, feet kicking absently in the air. She frowned, craning her head around to look at Virali. "What do you mean they hate Plagues?" she asked slowly, a hint of suspicion creeping into her voice. "...and what is Knotwood?"
"Oh, um, I wasn't planning anything, really. Probably no more than a few weeks..." He looked as if he was going to say something else, but Virali chose that moment to smile at him, so instead he shut his mouth, though there was the faintest hint of a blush forming across his face.
Mylle, with a disapproving 'tsk' towards her brother took up the thread of the conversation. "When he's in town, yes. Which isn't very often, but we have a spare room, so." She trailed off with a shrug.

"Mhmm." Her leg swung out from the chair idly. She looked at Tiffan, a little flustered by her question. "Knotwood is my home fellowship, for now. They are such crusty people." She avoided the other question. Best not to bring it up if she could avoid it. The 'for now' actually meant quite a lot to Virali. She had felt stifled there, surrounded by men so set in their ways that she became easier to ignore than teach. Soon, that would hopefully change. Her woodsy grey eyes slip back over to Terrowin, catching the faintest traces of a blush staining his cheeks. Yes. Giving herself a mental point, she leaned closer and plkaced one dainty hand on his arm.
"What a coincidence," she turned to Mylle and smiled too. Virali felt if she could get his sister on her side, she would be more than willing to help fluster her poor brother. It was, after all, what siblings did. "I'll probably be staying for a few weeks as well. I have to sort out some housekeeping." She shrugged delicately. "Where were you headed after this again?"

Tiffan narrowed her eyes slightly, noticing that she conveniently skipped over the question that she actually wanted answered. If anything, it made her want to know the answer more. A quick look at Virali showed her that she didn't seem to be paying much attention to her, though. From the looks of things, it wouldn't be the last of the mage that she would see, so she stowed that particular question in the back of her mind for later and kept herself content to just watch the humans for a few minutes.
Virali might as well give herself another point, because his blush grew a shade or two darker. It wouldn't take much to win Mylle over, honestly, she never turned down a chance to give Terrowin a hard time. "Well, you will just have to stop by to make sure he doesn't slip away again, isn't that right, Terrowin?" She was rewarded by a jerk of his head as he turned quickly to look at her, an overwhelmed expression on his face. "What? Oh. Um. Yes."

Virali laughed, the light sound tripping throughout the leather shop. Terrowin looked the type to slip away, not saying goodbye or where exactly he was going. And, to be honest, that suited Virali. She was of the same type: a wanderer. Being tied down was something entirely too.... boring? Mundane? Vaguely frightening. But she never minded tying others to herself, if only for a short period.
"Is he often the type to go gallivanting off with out a word, Myelle?" She glanced over at Terrowin, wondering if his cheeks could match his hair. Her own darker skin stood out vividly when next to him. A tendril of hair fell across her cheek and she distractedly tucked it behind one ear. "Are you that type? ...You seem a little flushed; are you alright?" She reached a hand up to touch his forehead, gauging for a fever where she knew there would be none.

Terrowin opened his mouth to answer, but was cut off by a sharp bout of laughter from Mylle. "Gallivanting isn't quite how I would describe it, but yes, he is." The look he gave her was one full of dread. Oh, how he hoped she wouldn't end up telling Virali all of the embarrassing stories she knew about him. There were quite a few of them, and he didn't want the mage to think too little of him yet.
With an expression that is mostly found on a person stuck between a rock and a hard place, he slid down in his chair a bit, turning even redder by the moment. And, as if the situation couldn't get more awkward (for him, at least), Tiffan chose that moment to skitter up Virali's arm to her shoulder, staring at him with a horribly concealed grin.
"I don't know, he does this a lot. Maybe something is wrong with him?" The Plague got a half-hearted glare and an exasperated sigh as a response, and he continued to slide further down in his seat.

"If not gallivanting, how would you describe him?" Her voice had a particular note of barely concealed mirth. The idea of Terrowin's long frame skipping blithely down a road had inserted itself into her mind quite unexpectedly. A wicked desire had arisen in Virali's chest, spurred by both honest curiosity and Terrowin's increasingly interesting reactions. It seemed his entire self was focused between her and his sister. She liked it.
She slowly removed her hand from his forehead, slipping a strand of his hair behind one ear. "You don't seem hot." Her eyes turned towards Tiffan, and a small, devious smile played across her lips. "He turns red a lot? Or slumps? It;'s too bad, with his height he should stand tall and look handsome." She spoke to Tiffan, but slid her eyes over to Terrowin's shrinking form. He was just like a cat who had suddenly decided it no longer wished to use its bones.

"Hmm..." Mylle fell into silence for a moment as she pulled out a small pen-knife from the desk. "Running? Fleeing? Sneaking?" She hummed a bit as she began to cut out a piece from the leather she held. "Although you seem to have seen him wandering around, so you might know a bit better."
Terrowin, on the other hand, did not seem to like it as much. A rather grumpy looking frown began to form on his face as he listened to the ever growing list of not-so-flattering adjectives coming from his sister. And his Plague. The small being on Virali's shoulder seemed to enjoy playing along with this and nodded enthusiastically.
"Both!" He seemed to be bolstered a bit by her comment, and began to push himself up a bit, but he simply slid back down again when Mylle spoke up again.
"Do you hear that? Mother and I have been telling you all these years, you just never listen. He never listens." She 'tsk'ed a bit and shook her head as she continued to cut out the leather.

Virali snorted, an inelegant sound of mirth. "I like you, Mylle. You're a good sister. I have two brothers of my own." The pregnant woman reminded her of how she always looked for news wywas to make her younger brother screech. Like the time she left a fish in his bed. A good sibling rivalry was ahrd to find, although Terrowin should probably tyr shooting back at her. Virali poked him gently in the shoulder.
"So, are you a sneaky sort, Terrowin? Though... I don't think you'd get away with much sneaking,. You're far too large. Right, Tiffan?" The plague's weight on her shoulder was light and she worried about such a perch, but Tiffan seemed content. "You know, you're the first plague I've really talked to. And I guess that makes you," she looked at Terrowin, "the first Grimm."

"I would like to think so, thank you." Goodness, she never quite got to the point of leaving fish in his bed, but she never quite turned down a chance to poke fun at him whenever he was actually around. "I don't envy you, though, I am glad I only have the one."
Somehow he never ended up winning whenever he tried to get back at her, it just ended up making this worse. And, unfortunately, having three different people working together against him didn't help his case much, either. "He is, he makes far too much noise." There was an exasperated sigh from the chair, and Terrowin seemed to slide back up in his seat. "I guess? I haven't been around many Plagues before, so I'm not sure of the qualifications..." He trailed off, looking at Tiffan to see if she had an answer. All he got back was a shrug. Oh well, he stopped expecting many answers from her a while ago.

Her brows furrowed prettily at Terrowin's words. "I thought you had to have a tainted item, then it turned into Tiffan. You don't remember that?" She had read about it in one of her studies., Although, the appearance of Plagues was quite new. She could be wrong, she supposed. The slipper slid off her foot with a thunk.
"If you want, I know there's a couple of mages up at the Fellowship here that could answer any questions you had!" She smiled brightly. So far, the mages here had seemed very nice. The sun was lowering outside and her smile turned into a frown. It got dark so quickly here.... She hated wandering in towns after the sun set.

"She just sort of showed up one day, I'm not really sure where she came from, honestly." he said with a shrug. "And she's not very forthcoming about her past, but..." A quiet hiss from Virali's shoulder cut him off. "No!" And she slid from her shoulder and clambered back up the staff once again.
"...I don't think she likes the Fellowship much." Terrowin continued, giving Virali a shrug. From the desk there was only the quiet sound of thread being pulled through leather as Mylle began to sew the first of teh patches onto her boots.

One eyebrow arched so high it seemed as though it might float away. A Plague that didn't quote belong to anyone.... It smacked of intrigue and dastardly goings-on. Wouldn't it be lonely to be so secretive? "Interesting. Well, she seems to like you quite well enough, Terrowin. Does that mean she's a good judge of character or..?" She smiled a little, but desperately wanted to indulge in a nosy questioning of the tiny plague. That tiny 'no' had raised more questions than answers. She drummed her fingers against her staff. She would have to get going soon to make it to her meeting. Finally, she sighed. "I'm part of the Fellowship, though. Do you hate me, Tiiffan?"

"I would like to think so," Terrowin replied with a sheepish grin. Well, he wouldn't quite say that she didn't belong to anyone, he had gotten the impression that she firmly belonged to herself and that was that. Silence descended upon the room once the question had been asked, Terrowin jumping slightly as one of the boots was dropped onto the desk with a relatively loud 'thunk'.
Tiffan stared suspiciously at Virali, shifting her weight from one foot to the other as if preparing herself to bolt at any second. "No." she said hesitantly after a moment. "You're nice."

Virali smiled at his jump. Terrowin really was a funny man: awfully timid for his size. If she were tall, would she be louder? Some of her friends at Knotwood had called her Mouse, both because of her size and that she 'squeaked' a lot. She hadn't heard that nickname in a while. Her shoulders tight, she shrugged, suddenly feeling an unwelcome surge of nostalgia. Eyebrows knitted, she plucked at some of the embroidery on her tunic. At Tiffan's words, however, he looked up, her mouth a small moue of curiosity.
"Are other mages mean? I like most of them. I'm glad you think I'm nice, though. You're nice, too, Tiffan." Virali smiled at the small Plague. "The mages, especially here, in such a melting pot, have this amazing sense of fellowship, you know. You never feel lonely. You should go meet some of them sometime!" She patted Tiffan lightly on the head, with just two fingers.
"Oh no," she said softly, glancing outside. She twisted her body to look at Mylle. "I might have to leave without those boots. I have just remembered I have an appointment later..." she trailed off apologetically.
