"Well then, if there aren't any drunks, I'll take my pick of people going by," Tantalus said. "I've never had to quit early if that's what you're asking. I take my duty to the Court seriously." They were approaching a much more populous street, and the red-and-black-clad Senshi quickly made for the nearest roof, getting himself up onto it with an ease he never could've managed in his regular form and waiting for Avior to catch up.

Without a second thought, Avior hopped up on the rooftop right beside Tentalus, debating on whether or not he wanted to continue following him. He knew the basics of touching people to drain them, having been taught by Titan through one of the nights they had spent together, but as a Dark Mirror, there were differences, with the main being the wraiths. And if this guy said he could control them, well, what more was there to know?
"So.. You will just release the wraith into the crowd of people then? Won't they cause a bit of.. I dunno, a bit of a ruckus? It's not like they are entirely invisible."

Tantalus slid his morror shard out of his bracer, and his wraith slipped out. It was almost totally solid, well-fed by this point in his patrol. "Certainly it might, but it won't be down there long. You have to be careful, at this stage - the more full and solid they get, the easier wraiths are to destroy." He nodded down, and the wraith dove onto the street, flitting briefly through a number of people, never drawing too much from one, before returning to the roof and back to Tantalus's mirror shard.
"They're not very intelligent, but smart enough to know that they can be destroyed, and the energy they drain is critical to the Court."

"So they are similar to water balloons. Except smarter, since they try not to pop." Avior chuckled a little at his own nonsensical joke and watched with vivid curiosity as the wraith went about doing it's job. How peculiar of a thing it was, draining and causing a wee bit of confusion, but it returned as soon as it was released. It was like a breeze flitting about the street; it was there, it could be felt, but could you actually spot it? Could you stop it? Nope.
"You said the energy is critical to the Court.. I was told that the Court was meaning to find a new home, since they thing Senshi don't belong here. Is that energy going towards that? Or something else; do you know?"

"I'm not privy to all the details," Tantalus confessed, "but I do know that it goes to creating more Senshi and bringing over the willing from the White Moon. In essence, when you're finally ready to come over, the energy these little creatures gather will be what lets it happen." He was smiling faintly, warmly. It was always nice to think that what he did helped the Court, in the end, even if it was only in a small way.
"Some nights don't go as well as tonight, and I think sometimes I worry my boyfriend when I don't get home until late since I never like to bring back less than all I can. He's one of us too, though, and just as devoted to the Court as me - maybe moreso, given Devotion is his sphere." He laughed lightly. It didn't seem at all incongruous to him that he'd been flirting with Avior earlier and then casually mentioned a boyfriend now; it wasn't as if he'd been anything close to serious.

"Ah, then once I do come over, I'll have to do my best to return all the energy it took for me to change. " Just how much it was, who knew, maybe it would even take an eternity to return his debt to whoever it was that converted them. But it would definitely be a debt repaid with a smile on his face. .
An eyebrow raised at the sudden mention of a boyfriend, but ah well, what did it matter in the end. The peculiar actions from before would just have to be chalked to one of his 'out of place' encounters, and tucked away along with the rest of the peculiar little fanfictions he had written during his time as a Senshi. Shifting immediately from crushing mode to admiring, slightly fangirlish mode, his own smile went to a sweet one as well, and in an almost teasing voice, he placed his hands behind his back, walking around to face Tantalus head on.
"Well, you shouldn't keep worrying the poor fella then, huh? Do you think you're ready to go on home now? That wraith looked pretty full to me. I should be heading home soon enough too. Lots of preparations to be made before I can finally let my mine be at ease."

Tantalus nodded. "I'm about done for the night; I am sorry I didn't get the chance to show you much more, but I do look forward to meeting you again as a member of the Court." It was good that one of the first members of the Order side he'd encountered was someone who was halfway through the mirror already.
"We'll see each other again soon," he promised, bowing politely and then leaping off the roof to make his way home.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, Tantalus. And I hope your evening goes well. I'm certain that next time we meet, it will be you and I on the same teem. And maybe then I can meet your boyfriend too." Avior stood there, watching him vanish from sight for a few moments, before he made his own way back home. of all of the Dark Mirrors he had met, perhaps that one had been the most patient with him, with all his questions..
The court was coming off as more and more appealing, reaffirming his decisions.
