Somehow Alex had managed to miss the fact that Mort was right there the whole time sewing up plushies with hands that were obviously used to fine stitching. When he did notice him though, he winced, his grin nearly dropping from his face. "Sorry bro! Just having a little bit of fun!" He called over to Mort with a wave, and turned just as a vest came hurtling towards him. Ooooooo, green! One of Alex's favorite colors, after red of course. He nearly dropped his toy gun as he fumbled to catch it, gripping it tightly to his chest and working at slipping it on. At Amrita's words, he looked up from where he had just finished clicking in the final strap, only to see a gun pointed at his chest. Why that sneaky little....He glared at her, but smirked, wondering if she would actually do it. She did. She did the thing. Ohhhhhh he was going to get her back for that! ....Later, because right now he needed to find some cover before she shot at him again. He dove behind a pile of boxes, nearly knocking them over before peeking out from behind, taking aim, and attempting to shoot her back. Amrita only had a second to flash him a grin before she noticed he was moving, which spurred her into action herself. While he dove behind some boxes she dove behind Mort, staring over the blue Zombie's shoulder. It was a good thing she moved, because otherwise she would have been hit.
"Thank you by the way, Mort. For the vests and being a fantastic meat shield." She even gave his shoulder a small, grateful squeeze.
"I have a suggestion." She called to Alex from behind Mort's back, at least behind nice enough to peek out from around him instead of yelling in his ear. "How about, the second we leave this booth, it becomes a safe zone. From that moment on any hits landed here do not count." Hers would count. It would always count. Because she was awesome.
She fired in his direction again anyway, just to be sure.

Mort might have been amused on any other day.
Today he was not.
This area better be safe because if one of his prizes so much as got touched in the crossfire or otherwise damaged, disturbed, or ruined, select people would be fried by lightning. Or become Odin 2.0's new squeeze.
(Okay, maybe his humor hadn't gone away completely.)

Meanwhile, Mort flipped the giant sign hanging atop the center booth, showing that the Student Council Corner of Calamity was now officially open to those who felt like gathering an army of of plushies to smother in their rooms.
Or use for fire fodder.
Or enchant for some devious purpose.
Jack only knew about the creative minds of Amityville and beyond . . .

Upon stepping to the first area of the booth he gave a little laugh when he saw the grinning skull on the wheel. He gave it a spin and watched as the eye stopped on a spot and a gnome rushed to him and handed him a ticket. Which he quickly filled in and handed it back to the gnome. He took his health vest and started on the tiles. He stepped on a woman in robes with fog and ended up loosing some of his health. Making another step before he knew it a sword had slide out of a slit of the tile and hit his ankle "What the hell?" Quickly jumping off the tile and onto another one a loud blast like a trumpet hit screamed out and before he knew it he had no health left and had to start again.

Stepping on a different tile he hadn't tried yet with a creature with jaws he ended up taking more health away. This was definitely harder then it looked. Looking around he quickly stepped off to the right and ended up on a tile with moon face. little starry lights started to float up and he was healed a little bit. Just as the last little floating light disappeared he takes a step to his left and just as he set his foot on the tile he sent him bouncing off to where he started and his hp bar wouldn't shut up with the beeping letting him know he failed once again. "Dammit!" he grumbled as he reached for another vest.

As he stomped off from the tiles Monty caught the site of some rather large crazy metal clawed hands with a plushie stuck in between them. Monty headed straight for it and tried to pull the plush away from the claws. It moved a little bit but not enough to come out.

He tugged some more and once again the little plush moved. Not as easy as last time he could of swore the hands and got a tighter grip on the thing.

After several minutes Monty fell back on the ground as the plush was loose and fell to his lap. "HA!. take that!" He shouted as he grabbed the little pommy plush and dusted it off. He stood up and brushed the last bit of dirt off the little thing so he could see all the colors and spots that covered it.
