At her brother's affectionate touch Nkechi couldn't help but feel a little better. She stopped snivling and looked at him with puzzlement, "Long than mountains...? He'd be ooooooold." However, the idea made her giggle a little as she rubbed her face with her paws to clear away the tears that had stuck to her fur.
She sat up by the time her father began to speak of the ditch. Her ears perked hopefully and her eyes shone bright, "Are we going to grow flower?!" She sounded thrilled by the idea, though she hadn't gotten an answer yet.

"Don't be stupid, you two. The only ones around here that can live longer than the mountains are the so called 'gods'." Rune grunted lightly while shooting a rather immediate glare towards Ishara. "Are you done yet..?" He questioned, making a quick move to get away and limp towards the direction of his two siblings, father, and Tu. His fur only looked a little bit better from Ishara's cleaning, however he'd stopped her before she was even halfway through. He could do it later. .. On his own time.
"So," He stated flatly, arches in his brows rising momentarily. "What kind of hole're we diggin'?" Rune attempted to throw his voice at least a little with a hint of curiousity, although it may not have sounded at all convincing.
Hidalgo shrugged. Obviously Rune hadn't been paying attention a moment ago when the male had explained. "Waterway from the Waterhole in the pridelands to here." It was a brief explaination, however he felt no obligation to give a second somewhat detailed story. With this in mind, his attention once again fell upon Chi, who he offered a quiet grin. "I suppose once the water's here you could grow some flowers.. not sure how well they'd do in this soil.. but further up along the sides of the trench they'd be easy to grow." He wasn't positive of this, however if she wanted to try and grow something he had no reason to stop her. She'd always been more of a grassland sort of girl anyway.. not the graveyard.

The lioness sighed at her younger son, giving up. At least he looked a LITTLE better. "When we're done, you're taking a bath in the water." Padding over to the trench digging, she started moving dirt. "Come on, now, let's get to work!"
Toshi stretched, then started digging as well. "Sooner we dig this, sooner we can grow flowers!" Even he had to admit, he wanted to see a little more color around the Graveyard.

"Really?!" Nkechi brightened imediately, her smile wider then ever. It was a rare time that she smiled so openly and so completely. Somehow the idea of flowers in the graveyard filled her with a warmth of joy she couldn't explain. Perhaps living here wouldn't be so bad if she could get the flowers to grow!
Without much else to say, she giggled and bounded around her father to the ditch and began to dig enthusiastically. She didn't seem to mind at all how dirty her fur became. Of course, anyone could tell she'd run out of energy soon at that pace, but why spoil her fun?
(( x3 And Ary can't spell today. Yeah! ))

With a sigh, Toshiro started to work as well. May as well... His one pale paw got soiled and dirty, but this fact he ignored. It was for the good of the Graveyard, after all! And the trench was already starting to take shape, too!
As the dark lioness went back to digging, she purred a bit. "Now that I think about it... Flowers WOULD be a nice thing in there... A nice way to honor those who gave up life so that we could live... A piece of beauty to take into the after life."

Rune scrunched this nose at his family. Idiots, the lot of them. His mother was a clean freak, his dad.. well.. just. blegh. Toshi encouraged everyone too much, and Chi was waaaaaay way way too happy. Not normal at all.
"Psh. Don't be stupid. Flowers don't grow here. The soil here sucks, stop encouraging Chi when it won't work." He stated flatly, shaking his head. "And ew! I'm not taking a bath just cuz YOU tell me to! I'm fine, mom, leave me alone! The water'll be all gross and dirty anyway!" He retorted to Ishara, shaking his head quickly in disagreement. "Whatever. I'm leaving. You guys can.. do whatever." He sighed, quickly managing to move away and back up the way he'd come. What good was he with a messed up paw, anyway? He'd fall over if he tried to dig anything.
Hidalgo continued to smile, even as Chi began to bound around his figure. "Hmn. Don't listen to that, Chi. You can grow flowers if you really want to. Don't let Rune spoil it," he added with a nod of reassurence. Helping to dig himself, the adult himself beginning to help with the digging. He wasn't as excited as Chi was, but he helped none the less. Color and easy access to water would help the graveyard, most assuredly.
However as Rune stormed off, the adults eyes followed. "Oh Runai.." he sighed, quickly retreating from helping. "I'll.. go try and see what's up with him. Someone's got to. Otherwise he'll end up.." He again released a sigh before withdrawing and heading in Rune's direction. "I'll be back later, though, promise. G'luck with all this," He added lightly before heading off after Rune, calling his name and trying to well.. otherwise chase him down. The trench could wait. His son couldn't.
((Haha, and with that I'm out? < 3; *faceplant* ))
