She grew more apprehensive the more Nevada mentioned their new little membership and unconsciously put a hand to her chest, warming it from the vague chill within. In the moment the choice had been so simple to pledge herself to Aria's cause--but it had been done blindly so. Working with Halloween was something she was okay with for the most part, but in the context of how Deus operated . . . Now that they weren't in the caves, Stormy felt very vulnerable: like the secret would slip away and betray them of its own volition.
She'd already "died" a few times; she did not care to try again for real if she could avoid it.
"I don't want to use anyone," she replied a little tightly, the verb setting off dust-covered alarms. Then she smoothed herself out and continued normally. "I know what you meant, though. Maybe later once . . ." Stormy trailed away, afraid to invoke Aria's name in case it brought something down on them all later; Nevada was given a quiet but meaningful look instead.
"I'm just glad we're in it together instead of one or the other. Imagine how awkward it'd get if it'd just been one of us!" she whispered with a little smile, trying to joke around and alleviate the cold inside.
But even the way Nevada worded it, she still felt like it was deceiving Gale. What if one day a mission came up and they'd have to work counter to the other hunters . . . ?

Nevada sighed, looking back over to her bed and thinking. This was Stormy after all. Where Nevada would use the situation with Jack, Stormy was busy trying to smooth it into all the other ones with her problem. It's why she liked Stormy so much. The girl was more straight forward than herself.
But she also felt too much more than Nevada, and that was her weakness.
"It wouldn't have lasted long I am sure. It seems where you get in trouble now, I get in trouble....and vice versa." Nevada chuckled. "My problems become your problems and vice versa. Ah....The joys of a true best friend." She laughed now.
"My problem is what do we tell the other mist hunters?....Candace...and Ian?" Those were the two that Nevada was the closest with...She almost wanted to fill Ian in but didn't know how the other hunter felt about halloween.
"Who can we trust now....."

"Double, double, toil and trouble~" Stormy hummed with a spooky wave of her fingers. "It's not so bad, though. Two people holding something makes it easier to carry~"
But her mouth set at Nevada's question. "If I can't say anything, neither can you." Not fair at all for her to mention either of them as possible candidates when she couldn't tell her boyfriend. "Keep it simple, Nevada. It's our problem; so we'll deal with it. We trust each other and ourselves."
And Miss Aria.
"If you slip, I'll be very cross," she warned, making a face at Nevada. "I'll make all sorts of sad faces and not let you get hugs and stuff, got it?"

"That is a terrible threat and I don't think you'd last long with it." Nevada raised an eyebrow at Stormy.
"But deal anyways. So neither of us slip."
"Anything else we should talk about, while we are sitting here together?"
