"You should eat more, and better." He stated while already wondering if he should make extra food when he cooked and bring it to Quenton. Tupperware meals for the other! Yes, the idea sounded like a good one to him. "115 pounds, so a bit under that." But while he was muscled, lightly so, he figured he burned off more then he ate.

Glad that he got the other up he smiled brightly and after a glance around, proving no one was around, he took a risk and went and embraced the other. "I'm glad I was able to get you back up and not join you off the bridge." He hadn't been sure he'd manage to keep his balance, having never walked on ropes let alone done something like what he'd just done.

"I'll keep close in case you fall again. Then I can get you back up again." If he was able to do a repeat performance. Even as he spoke, and embraced the other, he was thinking about what he could cook next and bring to the other.

"I will when you do, then. We can make it a deal." The embrace was a surprise, but one very welcome. Quenton flattened his long hand against the small of Alex's back, enjoying the feel of the cords of muscles on either side of the delicate spine. This was better than just serendipitous getting to grasp hand to hand to solve a puzzle.

Speaking of, "Well, there's still plenty more rope obstacles coming up for me to dumb us both off of. I'll feel more secure having you near, even if my balance doesn't improve likewise. "

Quenton reluctantly moved from the closeness to guide them both back onto the course, but he pet his hand down Alex's arm as he turned to try to finished the rope bridge. It actually proved a little easier- Alex's weight nearby pulled the rope under his own feet more taut as he stepped and didn't let it wobble so much from his own ankles. There was still plenty of course left for them around the corner from their next platform- a Double Beam, island hops, faith leap platforms (which weren't so different from hopping roofs and therefore infinitely easier), and lastly an Earthquake crossing. It looked like someone thought the idea of crossing a swing-set would be fun.

"Oh dear. Do we want to do this one at a time still...or would you be willing to try it side by side? Stepping together onto each? There's more than enough room. " The 'swings' wood planks had enough space for both their shoulders and hips and then some.

"I'm glad you approve of having me close to assist you if you need it." Even if he wouldn't go and fall to his death, or injury, on the ground below. It was always nice to have someone to help you up. "And, I do eat healthy. I just seem to burn it off rather quickly. Expect me to be making extra dinner and bringing it to you from now on." Nope, not a thread. It was a promise of what was to come. He would find time in his schedule to make sure the other ate and well. He'd find a way to make it work - because it had to.

Being moved away from the other wasn't something he particularly liked, and let that show with his facial expression, but he didn't verbally complain about it. They did have the rest of the course to complete after all, and he could always invite the other home with him for a meal and whatever else.

They did indeed have a lot more left to the course, someone had thought of everything. The hooping on the faith leaps was easy, lots of roof top hopping experience. At the last one he nodded slowly, glancing to the other as he did so. "That's fine, it might be easier for the both of us."

" I would argue less approval so much as ardent desire?"

Quenton mulled over the offer-c**-declaration about dinners with no reservations on smile it brought. Alexandre certainly had no reservations telling another exactly how something was going to be. It was a pleasant daydream, where that could lead between them.

"Do you cook often? It is an art I've not thrown much energy at, so I won't insult you with my attempts in the kitchen unless it is for your entertainment. "

With the agreement in plan, Quenton joined to Alex's side by putting an arm around his waist. The other he extended to the rope on his side to bring the first stepping swing near. It wouldn't be too different from a three legged race in a way- excepting being up in a canopy of trees instead of on the ground. "Ready when you are."

For this one, did we want to get them across this last obstacle, an exchange getting back to and on the ground, then end the scene with leaving to dinner plans?

"I cook all the time. I learned from my mother. Sometimes she was busy with work so I took over cooking as well." A gentle shrugging of his shoulders, it wasn't such an odd thing for him really. He didn't mind having had to cook dinner at times for his parents, it helped knowing now since he lived separate from them any, it wasn't such a bad thing knowing how to cook.

'I can't bake though, it's too precise for my taste. I like being able to tinker with things when cooking - alter things to suit my taste a bit better. You can with baking but I find it's more constraining." And he disliked that. It was why he had never liked painting people, the feeling of needing to be accurate and not being able to alter anything.

"Alright. Lets move our legs at the same time." His own arm snaked about the others waist as he held himself pressed to the others side. "I don't want to tip either of us." Or anything else. He'd like to finish this part without difficulty. "Do you think you like this enough to do this again in the future?" He asked; looking up at the other with a questioning gaze.

(Yeah, we can have them finish this and get to the ground and head off for dinner at Alexandre's. ::Nods:: )

Quenton was pretty sure that while he himself also cooked all the time (though not learning from any source but home ec class and books), that he wouldn't serve it up to anyone with any high hopes. Plainly not how he intends it though. With how exacting Alex is in everything else, I'm more than certain his culinary skills are well up to proverbial and literal taste. But no baking?

It was curious how Alex's tastes ran- high precision in what he did choose, but not liking things that had high degrees of necessary precision as a requirement. He was certain the other youth would find success in a wider range of classical figural art throughout the development of his freshman year, and could probably bake with ease when required. Preferences were just ...preferences. They were pleasant differences and mysteries worth discovering.

Quenton started into the steps across, firming his grip on Alex's hip when their footing shifted like a swing instead of a floor. It drew a laugh from him, half way, how nervous, even with safety lines, he could be about spilling them to a deus ex machina float to the ground. He wanted to make it across, to make it together with Alex, and laugh the more about the few spills and the view. "I do. I'd like to get better and less like a marionette on strings. walking with confidence on the ground is one thing, but walking across ropes I feel like I have to relearn my body the way I did after my first growth spurt in junior high."

They'd reached the last of the platforms, no ranger yet in sight, but the sound of the SUV to take them back to the entrance was clear down the wooded road they could mark from their height. Quenton let go of the rope on his side and brushed the back of his roughed knuckles against Alex's porcelain jaw, "Especially in the same company."

He could likely bake with ease, he was past the days of bringing a kitchen to utter disaster, but it was a simple dislike of the structure involved in it. With cooking you could freely alter things to get a taste you wanted, people had all different preference, but with baking you were more limited on what you could alter and how much you could alter things. That was the same issue he had with art, aside from nude females, he didn't like how with a human form he felt some invisible pressure to be as perfect in representing the person as possible and he disliked it. With landscape and other areas of art he could remove or add things as he wished. It was more free and open to preference. He was sure that the pressure he felt was self induced, after all who else was there to put pressure on him and his art? The point was he felt it though and so had always avoided such areas of art. Not he was going to have to learn those areas.

Laughing as his own balance failed him, not in the way Quenton's had earlier, the blond found himself clinging half to the other and half to his the ropes at his side. He was sure he would loose his balance and dump them both off this bridge. He had good balance, always had, but the sudden slip and slide of the wood under their feet was a surprise he hadn't expected. At least he had the other to help him, and to cling to. "I agree. This is a challenge. I think this'll be a nice test and skill to learn...an exercise of sorts." He said with a smile up at the other. Yes, this would somehow help him when powered up, he was sure of it, and it was a good way to spend time with the boyfriend.

"I couldn't imagine having a growth spurt. Everything was slow with me and then just stopped. I did expect a growth spurt, everyone said I was likely to get on - how many males stop growing at my height. When it never came by eleventh grade I accepted it with ease. I didn't mind to be honest. I didn't have to go through anything awkward." Shrugging his shoulders with a smile. He hadn't had to buy all new shoes and other clothing either, he'd out grown nothing. It really hadn't been all that bad, although the teasing at school and some girls cooing over it, or trying to comfort him, had been annoying. He hadn't cared when some girl had mentioned that no girl would date a guy shorter then her; he had absolutely no reason to be bothered by that after all.

As the reached the platform he turned to the other a bright smile in place. His hands left the ropes and found himself leaning into the light touch of the others knuckles. "Mmmm, so then another date to go rope climbing. I can't wait." And he honestly couldn't. Years ago he'd have never considered this, not wanted to do something strenuous or where he might slip and look like a fool, but it was enjoyed now and plans to do this in the future were made. He had changed over the years - a lot. It had been slow, gradual, but looking back he could see it. He had come far...and survived it all so far.

"We'll be members of Cirque Du Soliel in no time," Or at least Alexandre might. But he had no complaints of doing this a second, third, or many times. Until they knew the course and could run it like pros- watching each other fly.

Their ride, however, had closed to the parking spot slotted to waiting for awaiting customers that was in view of the last platform. "I will leave dreams in these trees, but hope to carry them further through the days and weeks. "

"Would you be up to catching something to eat? My treat, though you'd have to do the driving, " He let his hand drop to Alex's, and gentle stepped along to the ladder down, letting show his hesitance for their close moment to end of discretion. There was an audience that may or may not even be watching, but it was an audience just the same.

On the list of pluses for a nineteen year old going down first, as he'd been the fall risk all the day, he was afforded a very lucky, and very appreciated excellent view if he looked up.

Rolling his eyes at the others comment he smiled. "I doubt that. I will never be good enough from what I've seen of commercials on tv." And with that being just a glimpse of what they could do he was sure his words were accurate; he was also sure he'd love to see a performance one day. "However, I would one day enjoy seeing them - should they ever come to Destiny City of course." Traveling wasn't a problem, last winter vacation had been spent in Paris, but to travel to a place just for a single show was frivolous money spending in his opinion. He'd gone to Paris, and even a skip over to London, for many things. So if they ever cam to Destiny City he would be one of the first purchasing tickets.

"Dreams left in trees...what should happen to them if the wind blows too hard?" He questioned, smiling ever so sweetly. "Will they leave the trees branches and follow us?" After a moment he shook his head, again serious, and watched as the other headed down to the ground below. "Food is on me, it's nothing, just pick a place - I'll of course drive us there." He looked forward to the second half to todays date, and hoping the other would let him cover food.

As Quenton lowered himself toward the ground Alexandre did the same, keeping his pace even and slow, peeking down at the other every few moments.
