Kemnebi watched the sides of the cubicle suspicion. Was this really necessary? There was enough pressure as it was without adding all of this to the mix. Nebi briefly considered walking out of the test but her dorm pride (and fear of getting mangled) kept her in her seat.

She looked back at her test and glanced over the whole thing. What. The. Jack. There was a code? And some of the most specific questions ever. And...were these questions even Amityville level?

Kemnebi scanned the page, trying to ignore the screams and sounds around her. Not to mention the walls of dangling death. One question popped out at her and she answered it quickly. Not so hard she completed one more before something slammed her in the back of the head.

Nap time now....

It was a scream followed by a splatter of wet on her cheek that woke her up. Wiping her hand across her cheek, she frowned at the blood. Boy, someone wasn't happy taking the test.

She looked down to see that her history test had been swapped out my a math test. Ugh. Really? No wonder students were randomly spewing blood. Nebi knew she hadn't done too well on the previous test, so she grabbed a pen and started scribbling answers to all the easy questions first.

Moving on to the harder questions was interrupted, however, by a bolt of lightning. Being a monster who used lightning as her main weapon, being struck actually felt wonderful and energizing.

Kemnebi reached up towards the bolt, purring. As the bolt left her, she kinda just sat there, savoring the burst of electricity, completely forgetting she was still taking a test.

Human world studies shouldn't be that hard. Opening to the first page Kemnebi frowned. That...wasn't even a human. In fact, she was pretty sure she was friends with one of those. What even?

Shrugging she started writing things down she remembered from class when she felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up. Looking around, she noticed a disembodied zombie eye oozing over the cubicle to stare at her. No, her test. That cheating corpse.

Kemnebi grabbed a couple pieces of scratch paper and started launching paper missiles at the eye. She grabbed a piece of paper, balled it up and threw it, finally knocking the eye back into the other cubicle.

Turning back to her test, Kemnebi cursed. That last piece of paper had been one of the test pages. Jack dammit!

Three down, two to go. Nebi was definitely going to do perfect on these next two. She needed to, all these distractions had made sure she'd gotten a horrible score on everything so far.

Looking at the test made Nebi want to just bang her head on the table, however, and she briefly gave into the urge. She could barely read this. Some of the words seemed to be written over other questions. And one was written around the margins.

She almost felt like getting up and punching something. Really should be careful what one wishes for. A student flung themselves over the wall and tackled her off her chair. One or two punches landed before Kemnebi got her wind back and started fighting back. The two rolled back and forth, banging into the weapon studded walls until Nebi kicked her attacker off her and dragged herself back into her seat.

She was able to answer one whole question before this test too was whisked away.

Last test, last chance. Kemnebi put pen to paper...and was delightfully surprised that she knew, or could guess, the answers to most of these questions.

No screams, no blood, no random attacks, Kemnebi flew through the pages until she found one that seemed to be made of tree bark. Was this part of the test? Maybe it was the test. She had to figure out what the bark meant. She flipped it a few more times, completely lost.

Nebi didn't notice when her test was whisked away.

A quiz...Her excitement deflated when she realized what the next event was going to be. Inside her head, Megaera huffed and mentally shoved the hellhound aside, giving her full control of the body. "Leave this portion to me!"

Golden eyes scanned the questions. Halloween history? Megaera could do at least that. She crinkled her nose when she noticed a few of them were in some sort of strange code. What were these symbols supposed to me? She grimaced, but moved onto the next section: math. She opened her mouth to say something, but instead inhaled a lungful of a strange gas and fell asleep for the duration of the second section.

When she finally came to, she didn't even have time to figure out which section they were on. Just another breath knocked her out a second time. At least the third time she managed to stay awake. Again it wasn't that difficult, even if she wasn't fond of literature. Some of the questions were confusion, but the section was answerable for the most part.

She took a moment to scrutinize a drawing, but continued to fill out the questions before finishing the quiz altogether.

The obstacle course was swiftly dismantled to reveal rows and rows of cubicles. He hummed softly to himself while he examined the new event. The cubicles reminded him a lot of back home when students were taking tests and exams. It was plain to see what the second event would be, and hopefully he would do well on it. The boil kept humming as he casually ambled over to his cubicle and took a seat. He flinched when suddenly he was surrounded by rather intimidating instruments. It shouldn't have surprised him, to be honest.

His back was erect when he flipped the page to the first section. Halloween History. TK was rather fond of history, so the questions were a breeze for him. He finished it in a short amount of time, and he smiled at his pacing. "Hmm." The skeleton raised his head briefly when he somehow felt a pair of eyes on him. Was something...cheating...? Well, he had to keep doing the quiz, so he would have to deal with it later. He looked back down.

Math. It wasn't his best subject, but it certainly wasn't his worst either. TK remembered enough of the basics and advanced concepts to get through most of the quiz, but somewhere along the way someone decided to bother him. He pressed his lips into a firm line as one of the alumni attempted to distract him and unfortunately, it worked. Disappointed, he was forced to fill in random answers for the last string of questions in the section.

Humans were absolutely fascinating. It was a fact of reality that could not be disputed, at least in his opinion. On top of that, they were the very reason for their existence. Despite the varying opinions on them, it was important that humans continue to live and thus it was important to learn more about them. He hummed a cheery tune as he zipped through the questions. TK resisted the urge to laugh and instead grinned smugly--since no one else was watching--when he leaned back in his chair to reveal the orange glow of his perfect score.

He was fond of literature. TK couldn't recount how many titles he had devoured over the years. On top of that, he could remember a majority of them rather clearly in his head. Granted, he had read most of them in Japanese rather than English, so there were translation errors and differences, but still. The skeleton happily filled out the questions until once again, Wet Willy decided it would be fun to distract and once again, it worked. He held back the urge to grumble as he filled in random answers again.

Jack. When would this stupid alumni stop bothering TK? He was trying to take a quiz here, but no. He was forced to fill out even more random answers as he scrutinized the peculiar questions and did his best to fill out the blanks.

They both expected her to fit in a tiny desk and do writing. This was going to be a long quiz. Especially with all the noises whirring about.

Halloween History - to be honest she didn't know a lot about that, given she hadn't grown up in Halloween proper (well, she had but not with a lot to learn for it...), to a lot of her answering was guess work - until an individual she hadn't seen before wandering through the testing area distracted her for a good few minutes.

The next section she didn't remember at all. In fact, Sura had barely been able to read the pamphlet and look with some concern towards the other cubicles before- zzzzzzzzzzz

After which she woke up with her desk in a pit and had to climb out of it. What the Doctor Finklestein was with that? Making her climb? NEVER!

Oh wait, she had to anyways.

Literature was totally not her thing, though, and it wasn't difficult for Sura to just...peek over a dividing wall to see what her neighbor was writing down - it was a good idea.

The last section? She had no clue, actually, and Sura ended up just writing a lot of things down and guessing everything. Then her paper turned a funny color and she rumbled suspiciously at it.

The first part of the test was actually really easy, or so Shehk thought as she was writing down her answer. It made her paper glow all shiny and perfect and she kind of felt amazing for a moment.

The next section went just as smoothly, if she was honest, albeit a bit more math and the whole 'how does I brain' thing were a little shaky. But the scratch paper really did help out.

Human world studies were..okay... Except there was a shopping list in the middle of it and she found herself flipping it back and forth. A gnome list, maybe?

Literature, however, went by exceedingly well and with barely any flourish on her part the paper, like several before it, had started to glow. Oh, she felt so much better about this than she had about that race.

However, in the general studies, she found a random piece of tree bark and she found herself sniffing it for a few minutes. Smelled minty, actually. Mmmm, minty.

Really demons? really? how did they get last place in the obstacle course? Weren't most demons supposed to be fast? He had even managed to make it. Lazy bums.

He sat down at the desk, waiting. Was this a quiz? Really? School work? He slouched down and stared at the paper. History? Was this supposed to be in one of the classes he skipped? He quietly leaned over to glance at another students work.

They gave the stink eye. He stole a few answers anyways. They covered their paper with their hands and he sigh, and tried to actually answer a few.

If anybody was honest with themselves, the fact Angeline got anything done on this quiz was a miracle because she just kinda blindly scribbled and hoped something good happened because of it.

It both did and didn't and she didn't know why.

And then there was Tomoko. Tomoko knew how to take a test like a little demon (o wait..) and was more than ready when she was given her paper, writing down on it furiously. In fact, she wrote so fast steam almost seemed to be coming from her and her paper.

Albeit she only had a few of the sections actually glow (as much as she did, anyways), but she looked rather confident about what she'd done by the time she'd finished all of her writing, smiling and just being ever so happy. As she always was.

Edel would like to think of herself as a good student. Except for the fact that she had pretty much missed classes for an entire year while she had been away. She had devoted time during her leave to study the History of Halloween though. All the questions in that section were quickly, and confidently filled in.

Having actually conducted her pre-amityville education the extremely archaic way, the frost demon not only knew who had invented math, but the derivations for all the formulae as well. There was an immense sense of satisfaction to be gained from seeing the test script glow orange as arrived at the final answer to the last question.

Edel had come across the mention of the DETH society a few times, and had even been on a field trip to a haunted house attraction before. Nevertheless, her knowledge on the current affairs and state Human World was Very Limited, having been reading the outdated tomes from her library at home. It did not help that something had shot out and pinned her to the wall for the duration of the test.... and by the time she was free the section's allotted time had passed.

The choice of the literature texts for the exam was admittedly, rather embarrassing. The ghoul would also have done much better had a certain alumni with a very suspicious sounding name not come and bothered her by reading the excerpt aloud in an inappropriately erotic manner.

The final section was a barrage of random questions, which she somehow got through by being Extremely Lucky, or had somehow managed to read about during her sporadic visits to the library. It was a huge relief and pleasant surprise to see that final section of the paper emit an orange glow as she penned the last answer in.
