Mathias wasn't really into this whole big crowds and being sociable and running a booth aspect of the house cup. The competitions were excellent, and a chance to test his own skills, but the rest of this nonsense?

He'd rather just go and burrow back in his dorm room if it was all the same to everyone else, thanks.

Still, he had been told that he absolutely could not leave, and had to partake in some of the festivities, even though he could not feel any less festive if he tried. So, he wandered around the booth grounds, pretty much aimlessly, staring at his for once bare feet, large and furry and clawed, and dirty from the obstacle course. It wasn't until a loud voice caught his attention, boasting some nonsense about a thing called a squishune, that he finally looked up, ears swiveling in that direction before his head followed suit.

It wasn't what was being offered that Mathias paid attention to at that point, but who was gathered around the stands. There was Ren, who he recognized but had never really..spoken to...really....Though he did remember him from prom and for being part of the monster dorm team! But then the boil next to him, Mathias could say that he knew him a little better. In fact...Jove really might have been the only student that the wolpertinger considered to be his friend...oh except Frost, of course, he was okay too.

In a split second decision, the monster boil turned and made his way towards them, curious enough by Jove's evident excitement to see what all the fuss was about and...

Wait, was he holding Ren's hand? Was this one of those things Mathias didn't really understand? The one his parents told him they would talk to him about, someday? The thought entered his mind and then promptly exited as he realized he didn't really care.

There was a ghoul there too. She was completely ignored.

approaching the group from the side furthest away from the ghoul, Mathias tried to capture Jove's attention with a wave and a smile that flashed a small amount of fangs just barely peeking over his bottom lip. "Hello to you all." He greeted the small group, "Is there something of special here to be known about?"

Okay so he could try to play the sociable game a little bit. Realizing he didn't exactly have many-if any- friends was not something he was very proud of.

There was, quite suddenly, a small, squishy, and wiggling object thrust into Mathias's arms. He blinked down at it with widening red eyes, then gave Jove his best 'are you actually serious?' look.

And then he looked back down at the moving plushie, eyebrows raised, unsure of what to even say.

"Vhy is the stuffed animal moving? Is it..." He had to stop to think for a moment, debating if he knew the correct word. "Vrobotatronic?"

That was....close, right?

All disagreements were forgotten.

Squishune.

Free squishune.

Junko had the most awed expression on her face as she took the squishune, making a soft noise of delight under her breath. "Thankyouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu," she whispered, stunned by happiness.

"You're very welcome, gorgeous!" Quinto replied, pleased by Junko's reaction; so far, the Squishunes had generated the type of reactions that he had expected... How can something so squishable, adorable, and free of charge not bring a smile to someone's face? Oh, there was that frowning red-haired demon in charge of the Demon Dorm booth, but he was a minority; look at how much Jove and Junko love their Squishunes!

"Why, thank you very much! Feel free to take the Amityville Squishune! I'm assuming that's what you meant by 'the black one'?" He turned around on his heels to look at the latest arrival, offering him an Amityville Squishune in one hand, "I've already distributed the others to the different dorm booths~ I'm afraid it's up to them to distribute it to the masses... How about asking one of their RAs about it the next time you're over there?"

He then winked, and chuckled; having booth visitors pressing the RAs to hand the Squishunes out would no doubt be more effective than if he were to do it himself!

Eachann was lured by the commotion and sauntered up the the booth. He approached the group of boils and ghouls and attempted to sneak a peek at what they were fussing over.

"Mm? Whas' awl this then? These lil pups the cause of the uproar?" He poked at one of the closer Squishunes.

He smiled a bit, "Oi, yeh, they're prity cute."

Eachann picked up a Squishsune, prodding it a little. "They come in sets, yeh? How would one aquire the full set? N-not that I want to collect them all or anything," he looked around for a moment befire tucking his new pet and its special candy in his jacket.

"Oh, but you must collect the whole set!" Quinto exclaimed with a gasp, picking up a Squishune from over the booth and holding it up, gently squishing it as its little legs continued to move, "Look at how adorable they are!"

How could anyone just stop at one? No - he needed them to want the whole set!

"The other Squishunes in this collection are found at the different dorm booths, you pretty, pretty boil," He explained, grinning as he winked at Eachann, "If you don't see them being offered, you might want to bring it up with one of their RAs for I had already distributed them~"

His attention quickly went to a ghoul by the display, her question causing his grin to widen. Tossing the Squishune he was holding into the air, he took a step towards Mayaa before catching it, and presenting the enchanted plushie to her with a half bow, "OF COURSE! Take this one~ There is no need to ask. For today, they are free of charge! Free! No strings attached! Just be sure to spread the news for us, you gorgeous, gorgeous creature~"

Mayaa beamed, blushing slightly when he called her pretty.
"Thank you, I will!"
She was going to tell EVERYONE, whether they wanted to hear it or not.
