Oh. It didn't seem like Before was here for her, specifically. So Robert eased up, his concentration slipping just enough to get knocked back when the shot hit his shoulder. It continued to fail him, as he tried to counteract with an uppercut slash against her, and misjudged how far away she was completely. Jezebel sliced through empty air, and he groaned at how bad it looked. In the end, if Before was the only person to see him fail like this, he'd take it. HP: 28 Damage: robert

"HEAD IN THE GAME GIRRRRRRRL!!!" he laughed, then winced, the movement aggravating his still-healing cartilage.
To be fair and balanced in his not-quite-support, Before cupped his hands around his mouth and added, "KICK HER IN THE SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINS!!!!" Yeah he was addressing Robert this time.

Pausing a moment, she tapped her chin thoughtfully, while a small smile spread across her lips Were they allowed to shoot spectators? Probably not. Still, it was something to consider.

Holy s**t, was Kat being snarky? Robert turned to look from his cousin, to the man in the stands; back and forth, just letting it sink in. Then he grinned, big and goofy, at Kat, and looked as though he was threatening to give her another one of his hugs. "You are the worst." He was just so proud. HP: 28 Damage: most exciting fight ever

If only you knew, Robert. If only you knew. Your cousin definitely had a bit of a rotten seed in her. Hell, anyone who spoke to Mark or Otto would know this.
"Eh, it all started in our battle, and it got out of hand." She shrugged. She shot Before a devilish grin, knowing full well their spat was not over.
"Anyways." Pinching Robert's nose again, Kat turned her attention back to him. "Where were we?"

Robert's face pinched when she grabbed his nose, and he giggled like the Pillsbury Doughboy. "We were sparring!" He reminded her, grabbing Jezebel in one hand and twirling her between his hands, switching his hold on her over and over. "And you were shooting me in places that aren't my feet!" His batleth came down, a clean strike that he crouched down to perform, before jumping away playfully. "Come on, little kattybear, show me what your guns can really do!" HP: 27 Damage: 10

Kat paused again, almost sputtering at his laugh.
Gosh darn it Robert, she needed a moment okay. You're killing her with that.
Too busy trying to keep from laughing, she didn't even prepare herself for the coming attack.

Robert's best asset was seeing an opening, and when he made his cousin laugh, he couldn't help but take advantage of how wide open that left her. He grinned, both because he loved to hear her laugh, and because his swing connected easily, slicing through her shield with precision. HP: 27 Damage: 7

Knowing she was going to lose this battle, Kat still tried to keep her defenses up, though Robert was easily breaking through them. At least it was her cousin she was losing too. She could live with that.
"You know, I'm going to have to get you back later for this." She grinned, half joking.

Robert took the shot and bent his head down, his face tensing with a very unfamiliar seriousness. His grin looked feral, and faintly hungry. He crouched, the tip of his batleth gleaming as it poised to strike, and then it was gone, already embedded within - through the shield - piercing her shirt - He pulled away, as if it had burned him to actually touch her. He knew the dampening devices kept them from hurting one another, but he wouldn't take any chances with his cousin. She was family. Jezebel was desummoned even before she was pulled back against his side. "Anytime, Kat." He murmured affectionately. "Anytime." HP: 25 Damage: 6

When her shield shattered, Kat's gaze dropped to stare at the weapon that had pierced her shirt. Oh man.. That was a good shirt, too! She couldn't even get off the island to pick up some new clothes either. Ah well..
Grinning up at her taller cousin, Kat elbowed him lightly in the side. "Grats on claiming third place, Cous!"
With her part in the tournament now over, it was time to take a good long rest and then get back to her duties.
