"Tch. I wouldn't throw it directly at your face...I could seriously hurt if I did that." Des glanced up and chuckled. "...You know you can relax. You just need to be in the same general pose. Being stiff as a board is both hard on you and incredibly boring to draw." Des stopped scribbling and set the pad down. "Tell you what, take a few minutes to stretch out and get comfortable. Then just pick a pose that's easy on you."

Gabriel blinked, and then did as Des suggested and stretched out, before settling back in a position similar to the one he'd taken before - just setting his other hand on the ground for extra support. "I haven't sat as a model before," he admitted, "so I don't really know what I can and can't do without messing you up."

"Better?" Des asked, cocking his head to the side with a smile smile and chuckle. "Ah... See now. I'd be willing to bet that you're wrong on that." He said as he got back to sketching the outline. "You never know whose randomly sketching in a note pad... You could have been someone anatomy study and and you'd be non the wiser." Des had lost count of how many times he had randomly done quick sketches of people just sitting around in parks or cafes. Or hell even in various class room. "You're doing great. Just don't try to move yourself all at once. Little movements are okay just as long as you go back to your original pose."

Gabriel raised his eyebrows. "I wish you hadn't told me that, now I'll be looking aorund all the time." He said, but his tone was playful, joking. He didn't mind too much, anyway. "Little movements alright, big movements no. Gotcha," he said, rolling his shoulders a little. "So what else do you do? Besides art," he said. There had to be more than that, right?

"Sorry." He said with a laugh. "Ata boy. Now you've got it." Des hummed a bit, thinking. "Awfully curious about someone you've just met arn't you?" Came the tease. "But since you asked so nicely... and I am kind of keeping you prisoner..." Might as well indulge and humor the poor kid. "Lets see... Besides art.." Oh right! "Stars." Des replied. "I like astrology..."

"I'm sitting here modeling for you, I'd rather talk than sit in awkward silence," Gabriel said, his tone playful but his meaning serious. He'd rather talk, at least, and get to know the person drawing him. "Stars?" He lit up and leaned forward, probably too big of a movement. "I'm more into the astronomy side of it...but the stories behind the constellations are really fascinating. My dad, uh, works as an astronomy professor at DCU." He very carefully avoided mentioning aliens. That was not the way to start a friendship.

"I'm teasing." Des replied with out looking up. "Two halves of the same coin..." This time Gabriel's words drew his attention away. "Oh is he? Maybe I'll look into some of his classes."

Gabriel swallowed. "Don't tell him you know me," he said, "I'm the family disappointment." He wasn't sure why he'd brought his father up - it was totally thoughtless. He did manage a fake lightness to his tone and a bit of a laugh. "I have a friend at Azure, you might know him," he said, diverting the subject quickly.

Des stopped and cocked his head. "Now that's a bit much... Also.. I can't mention you if I don't know who your father or your last name is so..." He trailed off as if it was an easy solution to the problem. "Oh really? And who might that be."

"My last name is Blake," Gabriel said, tilting his head to the side, "which means you sort of owe me yours." It was a little bit of an exchange. "His name's Lance Greyson," he said, "about six foot, long blond hair?"

"Winchester. My full name is Desmond Winchester." Back to work. "Ah... The painfully shy one... Yeah I know him. He, Alistair and I had a few classes together.

Gabriel nodded. "I'll remember it," he said, and he meant it. A soft snort escaped. "Painfully shy, that sounds about right." He raised his eyebrows. "Does Alistair do the stupid goopy staring in class, too?" It was impossible to miss. Lance was clearly the only one not aware of Alistair's crush.

"Ah, so you noticed it too huh? I suspect poor Alistair has it bad for your friend... And the guy doesn't even notice." It was always a delight when he caught the pair in school. His favorite times was when he didn't even have to look up from whatever he was doing to catch Alistair in the act.

"I don't know how Lance misses it," Gabriel said, laughing quietly. "It's embarrassingly obvious. I don't think I stared that sappily at my ex-girlfriend when we were dating, and I was pretty enamored with her." He had been, thoroughly. Still was, a tiny bit, even though it hadn't worked out.

"It's funny to watch. Alistair get's just as flustered as Lance when he's caught." Des' gaze flickered up and away from his paper for a moment. Aha... So that's how things were huh? "I'm going to go with the 'you never know' card again. Just cause you didn't notice it doesn't mean the same for everyone."
