Laial stayed behind the game, barely breathing. His ears strained to hear what was happening.
Two lumps twitched under Maji's hat. She was listening for anything unusual. Sure enough, she heard light breathing coming from behind the video game. So, he thinks that he can hide? she thought with a smirk. Let's see if we can get him to crawl out... "Oh, I guess he's not here. I'll look somewhere else for him." She turned around and took a few steps away from the arcade.

"I dunno." Lian didn't look up but kept playing the game. He was grinning a bit and didn't want to give it away by looking over at Sciz.
"I see." Sciz raised a brow at Lian. "Well just keep yourself out of trouble, we're going to another part of the park in ten minutes." He sighed and started to walk away as well.

Maji almost failed to hold back a chuckle and instead gave Sciz an unbelieving side-glance. Please say he didn't believe her... Oh well, not her problem! Maji continued to walk away from the video game.
Laial peered around the side of the machine, checking if the coast was clear or not yet.

"I think they fell for it." Lian paused the game and turned to look to see too.
Sciz had noticed her glance and shrugged. It really wasn't his problem if her kid kept running away from her. He already helped as much as he could, or felt like helping. Sciz slumped on a bench and finished his drink watching what she was going to do.

Laial nodded oncee and creeped out from behind the machine. Good. Now he could play some more games. But before he had a chance to do so...
...Maji turned around to face the kids again. "Hello Laial," she greeted. He had fallen for her trap! She felt so evil...
Laial froze and gulped. He was in for it now...

"eep" Lian shrunk. He had helped, was he going to get in trouble too?He glanced over to Laial then back to his 'mom'
Sciz chuckled at the two's antics. Well atleast it worked and Lian looked like he was afraid of getting scolded by the lady for hiding him.

"Uhh, hi...Maji...?" Laial squeaked. He wasn't quite sure where this was going, but he had a feeling it wasn't good.
His suspicions were confirmed when Maji smiled, her pointed teeth exposed. "Well, what are you two up to?" she asked, faking sweetness the way a snake might right before it decided to poison you.

"I-I was playing the video game and.." Lian's voice trailed off. He never was that good at talking to other adults when Sciz wasn't around. His tail twitched nervously when he looked away from her and back to the video game screen.

"And...?" Maji asked again, her voice, if possible, even worse. Her ears twitched under her hat.
"An' he saw me go behind the machine..." Laial muttered. It wasn't a complete lie, now was it? He didn't want to think of how Maji would punish him at home, but the floofy kid shouldn't get involved, right?

"Er yea, I saw him go behind the machine." He nodded. Lian appreciated that Laial wasn't trying to get him involved, but he didn't like that he couldn't help him. "But ah, he was getting the coin I dropped for me. See." He held up a token for her to see.

Laial nodded once to show he agreed with the story. Whether or not Maji would buy it...well, one could hope, right?
Maji just smiled the Chesire Cat smile in return. "Oh really?" she asked. "Do you not believe that he was back there for an awfuly long time to be hunting for a mere token?" Under her hat, her ears strained for the fluffy kid's gaurdian. She figured he must have been forced if he hadn't reacted by now.

"It was under the machine." His brows knotted, faking anger at her. He didn't know if it was working against her since it mostly didn't work with Sciz. "You don't believe me." Then Lian started to pout.
Sciz was watching this little scene act itself out. He glanced down at his watch and sighed. Despite how amuzing this all was, it was time to go. He got up and started to make his way over, parting the children as he went

"You're right, I -" Maji was cut off by the sound of Sciz approaching. Hissing under her breath, she stepped back from the floofy kid a step. Why did he have to inturrupt her? Just when she getting somewhere, too. Damn punk...
Laial looked fearfully up at Maji, feeling the hate radiating from her. He took a small step back, hoping she wasn't this angry at him...or the floofy kid.

"Ah I see you found your kid." Sciz said as he strolled up to them, ignoring the tension between the woman and the two kids. "Oi Lian, its time to go. We've been here all day and you need to get ready for your lesson." He looked down at Laial then gave Maji and eye brow raise before turning to leave.
Lian squirted over to Sciz's side while passing Maji he jutted out his tounge. Though he felt bad since Laial wwas probably going to get yelled at. He tugged at Sciz's jacket a bit.
"What?" Sciz stopped and gave a look at Lian.

"No shi-" Maji caught herself. No swearing in front of minors. "No really..." she settled for instead. Clenching her teeth, she turned around toward the other exit. "Laial, we're leaving."
Laial's eyes widened. He knew that tone. That was the 'I'm-an-evil-hissy-cat-right-now-and-you-better-do-what-I-say-or-else' tone. Which, by the way, was a very bad tone.
