ossirian lotr is cool.. also because not only the death of gandalf but also the time that he's gone and comes back with more peace (the riders of rohan) But Tolkien said himself that LotR wasn't a metaphor for anything. ^^; It's a really good story. But it's not Christian. He had as much inspiration from Norse mythology as from anything else. And besides, it only seems "Christiany" because it follows the Hero's Journey rules. But Plushi, I do see how Bruce Almighty is a Christian movie. Who said Christian movies had to be serious? If I believed in God, I'd imagine he'd be something like that. Not like Bruce, that is. *__*;; But like God was.

How about The Visitation? It's kind of new, based on the book by Frank Peretti. It's awesome.

Guacamole-kun But Plushi, I do see how Bruce Almighty is a Christian movie. Who said Christian movies had to be serious? If I believed in God, I'd imagine he'd be something like that. Not like Bruce, that is. *__*;; But like God was. That movie is just wrong, I admit: I never saw it, and I never will Just because people can't play God! It's a sick movie in my opinion and definitly not christian Movies don't have to be serious, but a guy playing God? That goes to far, people should show Respect for God. This is just my opinion, don't go around and flame me again like people did in the 'masturibation thread' just because I'm gay cause people have different opinions

XD; Since you didn't see the movie, I think you missed something important about it... in the beginning, Bruce actually meets God, and God gives him Godish powers for a few days to teach him some lessons. He's not just.. randomly playing God. It's a pretty cool movie, in my opinion, and not disrespectful to Christianity. :3

I was disappointed by the left behind movie I looooove the books but the movie almost cheapened the idea. Of course, movies are rarely better than the books I hate to say it but I still haven't seen the passion. I don't have anyone who will watch it with me and it's not the kind of thing you can see alone *sigh* Saved is one of my favorites. It was cute.

Mine is Chronicles of Narnia.
Bruce Almight is NOT a Christian movie. It totally goes AGAINST how God is immoral. How can the man just become God in one day? And uh, accepting emails as God? I think it was just a parody, really. The movie kind of pissed me off. It shows nothing about what Jesus did. It was all for laughs. It's not the best movie. Definitely.

Plushi-kun how the hell is bruce almighty a christian movie? 0.o gonk uurrgghh -_- Yeh, that was my initial thought as well biggrin And personally, I didn't like Bruce Almighty, because it had some weird scenes that didn't have anything to do with God, though it was a movie about being a god (e.g. the scene where Jennifer Aniston has the orgasm??). Of course it was funny at some points, but there were points that I took as some kind of "insult". My favorite is Chronicles of Narnia smile

As for Bruce Almighty, I thought it was christian but maybe not,and I can't believe I forgot about Constantine xp .

I would have to say Chronicles of Narnia. It was brilliantly done and I love how if you look you can find tons of connections with the Bible. In addition the way C.S.Lewis came to know Christ is awsome.
As for the Passion of the Christ, I've been dying to see it but I haven't had the opportunity.
Cheers!

The Passion - Yes it was hard to read the subtitles, but Mel Gibson did a wonderful job making that movie.
