Oh hey, were those mermaids? That was pretty damn cool really, he'd never thought he'd ever encounter such a creature ever in his life time. - Oh ********, they did not look very nice even though they were smiling. That was a mean looking smile. Swim away, Milo!

As tempting as it was to stay and attempt more stone searching, Milo was exhausted and decided he'd head on home.

Or maybe this was how he was going to die. Well, he'd been eaten before, he knew how that went. He still tried to swim like hell thought.

It took a moment for Milo to flop his spent body back onto the beach; for someone who knew how to swim pretty well, he had did pathetically. And Koume was reminding of such a fact, and berating him for even going into the water in the first place.
But he was safe once again on dry land, the sand clinging to his wet skin and clothing alike. And he hefted off the heavy tank from his back so he could properly sit himself onto the sand. A heavy sigh was heaved, followed by a few more to catch his breathe before he rummaged through his belongings to find the runes that he still managed to keep. Half his stash had be lost by that creature. His good long haul. Sigh.
But he had at least gotten that many, good progress for his first try so he had to be happy about that. Peaceful maybe, as he sat on the beach that was so similar to home. The wind in his ears and the sun... somewhere with the fog and stuff. But the ocean lapping at the shore. Yeah, it was a nice spot even though it wasn't too far from where he had been beaten.
So, Milo got to carving the Uruz symbol into his small collection of rocks, thinking of the few things he could manage to do with them. Oh man, his phone would live! He could finally join the twitter accounts here.
Priorities.
