Cass scrambled out of the water, panting as she collapsed in the sand with a wild eyed look on her face.
Too close.
Way too close. Don't get eaten by sea creatures, Cassandra.
I don't want to be.
However, she now had 15 runestones and some carving to do. Not a bad bounty!

Cass quietly went back to her not-house and settled on the makeshift bed she and Marcus snuggled up on together with her fifteen runestones, looking at them quietly.
Inner piece and carving. She held a stone in one hand and a carving tool in the other.
The first stone crumbled in her hands as she angrily focused on it. Then another. Then yet another. She forced herself to put them down and took a deep breath, closing her eyes and focusing on if Marcus was there, how he'd put his hand over hers and would guide her in her carving.
She slowly began to move her hand again.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Ten stones carved successfully, all laid at her feet and she took a deep breath.
She was the champion.
She quietly picked out a handful of the stones for her own before debating which ones she should use for the portal project...
(I'M JUST ROLLING THEM ALL AT ONCE)
