Babble finally makes it to the top, and finds another branch, wait, it's a root this time. Trapped in the curve of the root seems to be a patch of torn up ground. Something was torn from the earth. Bending closer, Babble smells the same scent that was attached to the bag, once again. What is that? Then she spots some tiny plants growing in the earth. Carefully, she digs a few out. They smell similar to the bag, but they are missing something...
Carefully, she adds them to her growing collection.

After the bloody demise of the boar, Babble continues her journey, wary of any more surprises. As she walks through the woodlands, suddenly trees are start to become sparse. The land dips away before her and a marsh spreads across the land. The fog rolls in heavily. This is the territory of Ghost Thistle. Best beware.
Babble proceeds with caution, but soon becomes lost in the thickening fog. Though she tries to move forward in a straight line, it seems she is going in circles. Out of the mist she hears whispered words, smothered by the damp air. She is just barely able to make out the word "silence". Another clue, perhaps?

Babble continues on in endless circles until a foal appears in her path. Although it is most likely only an apparition, she follows it, eager to escape the circular path she'd been following. She manages to follow it only a short distance before it is swallowed whole by the mists, bleating out a single word - "tonic".

Babble continues through the mist a little disheartened by the vision she saw, but also slowly putting the pieces together. She is distracted from her thoughts when she sees a gathering in the distance. Hoping to be free from the fog as quickly as possible, she rushes towards them, but slowly comes to a halt. These figures give her the chills. She's not sure she wants to approach them.

Once again, Babble sees figures in the distance. She rushes towards them, fleeing the words she heard. The speaker had sounded angry. The figures couldn't be that bad, right?

Babble follows the figures until she suddenly breaks through the fog. Immediately the figures, now obviously Ghost Thistle's followers, descend on her. But wait, one looks familiar... the doe from the group of travelers? A purple-haired beauty. Babble had chatted at her almost all night. Why was she here? And why wasn't she helping her? No time for these thoughts. The doe was joining in the attack and Babble had to defend herself. It begins.

Babble defended against the mob and managed to land a bite on the gutless doe. Still, Babble took quite a bit of damage.

Suddenly, an eagle appears above Babble. She ducked and the eagle attacked the doe in front of her, doing some damage. Just as suddenly as it came, it left.

Although both Babble and the doe were startled, they both soon recovered and attacked once more. Babble landed another bite, and so did the doe. Ouch. Still, Babble emerged triumphant. As the doe collapsed she yelled, "Why couldn't you just shut up?! The tonic was temporary anyways." With these words, the cultist scattered, and Babble realized that she had been speaking since she emerged from the fog. "Oh, was that what all this was about?" She closed her eyes and laughed, enjoying the sound.
Opening her eyes, Babble comes awake with a start. "It was just a dream then?" She laughs again.
