Chapter 1
Attendance

Everyone was on edge. Today seemed to be going well. It was your usual day of school, going to class, talking to friends and co-workers, etc. It wasn't till they all started noticing that at the end of the day when they tried leaving the school premises that it was impossible. The doors wouldn't budge, nor would the windows. Everyone began to panic until the teachers that were there with the students finally calmed them down. Everyone gathered in one classroom. Class 1-C as it was the closes to all needed facilities. Confusion was everywhere and no one was quite sure on how this was all possible. Why could they not leave? What sort of force prevented them from entering? Many questions came to mind but none would be answered. All anyone could do was just sit in the classroom till something happened, anything. Both teachers and students simply sat there together in one room hoping that something would answer their questions.

Cole was just as confused as everyone else. After being corralled into the small room with everyone else he sighed. Why the heck would there be no way to leave the school? He sat down at a desk and crossed his arms over it, laying his head down. He really just wanted to get home and relax.

Mizuno was unsure of why she was at the school. It's not like anyone wanted to talk to her and even if they did she would reject them. She instead rested her head on her palm staring out the window. She wasn't paying attention to anyone and honestly she didn't care. But she then thought again. This was her chance to make a friend. Although she knew it was an impossible dream, maybe someone would take the initiative to talk to her and she could gain the courage to respond. Suddenly feeling lucky, Mizuno lifted her head and searched the room for a candidate.

Amaya was sitting in her desk, feeling very nervous right now. Why can't they leave the school? This was starting to feel like the start of a horror movie, not wanting that to happen. There has to be a way out, there just has to be. Amaya shivered, wanting to go home already as she felt a bit scared now.

Mizuki Madarame

Mizuki groaned as she, among many other students, was shoved into the small classroom. All she wanted to do was go home, but for some reason no one could leave the school. Like everyone else she was confused, but rather then freaking out, she tried her best to stay calm. Taking a seat on top of a desk near the back of the room, she leaned back against the wall, and closed her eyes. Her neon pink headphones sat comfortably on her head. She hummed quietly, and her foot tapped lightly against the desk along with the beat of the music that was blasting into her ears. She was completely oblivious to everything else around her, almost forgetting where she was.

Cole had actually dozed off for a few moments until he heard a bit of noise and woke back up, figuring it was a mix of the foot tapping and baring music coming from behind him and everyone talking to one another. Cole glanced around the room, seeing a girl not to far away shivering in fear. What was her name? She was probably from another class. He put on a small smile and gave her a light tap on the shoulder. "...Hey, everything's going to be just fine. I'm sure its just some weird drill the school forgot to tell us about." He reassured Amaya, although he didn't know this was her name.

Amaya had felt the tap on her shoulder, startled and jumping in surprise as she looked back. But she was relieved to see that it was just a male student. Then she heard him say that everything would be fine and that this is just a weird drill the school had forgot to tell them about. "H-Hopefully it is. Thank you." Amaya had then said back to Cole, nodding as she smiled a little, feeling a bit calmer now.

Cole smiled a little and nodded. He was happy she had calmed down a little, even if the whole drill thing was a blatant lie. He knew something had to be up, but why would you tell the already panicking girl that? He stretched a bit before relaxing again, this time he leaned back in his chair, his head resting on a foot that used to be tapping to a beat, but Cole was a bit too tired to notice.

Mizuki Madarame

Mizuki was just getting to her favourite part of the song. Her foot tapping got a little louder and faster until it came to an abrupt stop. Something was weighing it down and stopping it from moving. Slowly she opened one eye, then her other to see what had happened. It wasn't someone's hand like she had first thought, it was someone's head. She wasn't sure if she should move her foot or not, if she did then that persons head would fall back more and hit the desk. But her foot was getting a little uncomfortable. Mizuki leaned forward and tapped the boy on the shoulder, but he didn't seem to stir, so she paused her music and tapped him a second time. "Hey, do you mind moving your head?"

Cole woke slowly, a bit confused as to what was going on. When he realized what he was doing he quickly shot up, sitting up straight and looking back at the girl, his cheeks a bit red. "..S-sorry..' He said as he quickly spun back around and slid down his chair.

Amaya saw as the other boy had relaxed, wondering when this drill will be over. It shouldn't be too much longer now since they do all still need to go home after all. But at least now she has nothing to worry about, glad to have the boy along with her fellow classmates and teachers with her as well. So Amaya then looked around the room at the others and then out the window.

Mizuki Madarame

Mizuki smirked at the sight of his red cheeks. "Thanks" She replied, still smirking a little. Then she leaned back, and relaxed again, but before she went back to listening to her music, she noticed a familiar face in the room. She wasn't really sure of the girls name, but she recognized her from her class. Mizuki smiled and waved, even though she was quite sure this girl wouldn't even know who she was. "Your from class 2A, right?" She asked, unsure if she would get an answer from her, because she seemed to be a little shy.

Amaya was then surprised as a girl had asked her if she was from class 2A, nodding back. It was then that she recognized the girl, Mizuki Madarame. They were in the same class together. "Y-Yes, I am. Y-You're Mizuki Madarame." Amaya had said back to her, glad to have another classmate here.
