Well, playing marching baritone is kind of a bummer cause you have to watch the distance between other people and your bell. Today I biffed my brother, a trumpet player in the back of the head with my bell cause he was standing in my set. stressed Hurt my lip more than I hurt his head...

Also, sometimes I have to duck underneath other people's bells...

And sometimes randomly in the bandroom I get whacked with guard equipment... even if I'm all the way across the room.

The worst thing that happened was to my band director. This was two years before I joined the band. The band was playing the ballad of their show, and Mr. Harris (our BD) ran up the bleachers to watch them. He got the middle of the stands (which were made of wood) and he fell through them. The ripped off his knee cap, and cussed like a sailor. So, instead of going to the hospital, he just bandaged it up and went about things as usual. That evening he went to the hospital and got 16 stitches. The doctor told him to take it easy, stay off his leg... so then the next day he decided to fix his roof... Yeah. And he fell off the roof. But he's just dandy today, so, yeah.
